[ Skipping in time to a few months! ]

"I need a babysitter," Nami sighed, resting her arm on the nurse's station as her hand cuffed her forehead. Her eyes were droopy and her eyes were covered with bags under them. It was her first month back and she couldn't help but exhausted. She became a resident three months before, and two months ago - she had a baby girl whom she named Kim Misun. Her parents were astounded when they found out that they had a grandbaby - Joonmyun's parents were too. 

Joonmyun, himself, had been a better father than she would have thought he'd be. He'd get up to change the diapers at night, feed her when needed. When he found out that the baby was girl, he couldn't help but cry and he'd tell Nami that he didn't really care for what gender his baby was because either way he'd love the baby no matter what. 

"I thought Sehun was the baby sitter," Jae Mi uttered, her eyes on the chart that she was filling and checking. The blonde had become the cardiologist resident while Nami became a pediatrics resident. The brunette's eyes glared over to her best friend - eyes that can burn through a thick sheet of paper. "That ," she gritted, "left me hanging." A snort escaped from Jaemi as she shook her head, turning to look at the brunette: "I would baby sit for you only because I love you and little Misun, but Kihyun and I have plans." Nami's head banged against the counter as she groaned intensely - her head continously banging against the counter with her groans growing louder. "You'll get a concussion if you keep doing that, sweetheart," a sweet angelic voice called through. Her head stopped against the counter, turning it as she sees the person who could always calm her down.

"Will you treat me if I did get one?" 

"Well, I don't know, I don't really specialize in neurology nor general medicine." He said, "I specialize in pediatrics." Her eyes rolled to his statement. She didn't know if she wanted to continue banging her head or if she shoud be yelling at the man. Jaemi chuckled, shaking her head, "Leave her be, Baek," she uttered to the man - whose brows were risen - "she can't find a babysitter."

"Why do you need a babysitter?" He asked, brows risen even more. The brunette rose her head, "I just need to get away from her! As much as I love her, and want to cuddle the crap out of her - I can't deal with the constant yelling - will you babysit for me?" Baekhyun looked at her with surprise, stumbling on his words as he cleared his throat: "I, um, I can't sorry - I, um, got other things to do for the next several months." Nami frowned but shrugged. She loved her baby, she did but she needed a getaway from everything because she couldn't focus on work nor her family all at once. "Why can't you ask Joonmyun?" The man asked. "He's got a conference that he's got to go with the chief. It has something to do with the hospital -  I don't really question it because I'm too tired to care." 

Baekhyun nodded slowly, as he looked over to Jaemi. He cleared his throat and pointed to Jaemi: "Doctor Ahn, can't I talk to you?" The blonde's brows rose and she nodded, following the man away from the brunette who continued to bang her head against the counter.

"You and Kihyun are still going to come by, right?" He asked, looking over to the blonde with a sincere questioning look. The girl nodded, giving him an assuring smile. "Of course we are. You said you wanted our help, and we're going to be there for you." The man sighed in relief, smiling widely to her statement. "Thank you, Jaemi, really. Thank you and Kihyun."

"It's no problem, Baek. But.. are you sure you don't want to tell her?" 

While Baekhyun spent his time laying in the hospital bed after waking up from his induced coma, he had so much time to think things over, sometimes it made him want to go insane but still, he thought and thought. His head turned away, looking to the ground of the floor beneath his feet. He didn't know what to say - nor did he know what to reply to her question. There was a part of him that really wanted to tell Nami about what was going on but the other part of him said that she'd moved on with her life with a baby and a boyfriend who's there for her no matter what now. 

"Baekhyun?" She asked once more, touching his arm. He jumped, looking back to her with a sigh. "I don't know, Jae. I don't think she'd even care that I'm going to be gone soon." Jaemi frowned, removing her hand from his arm. "But what makes you think she wouldn't? Baek, you mean a lot to her and you know that. Sure, she's with Joonmyun and what not but you're in her circle of friends." 

Friends.

The word that only existed in between Baekhyun and Nami. It hurt a lot when he let her go because he understood but he regretted it somewhere in between for letting her go. She was the best thing that can ever happen to him even if they dated
