"Hey," Na Mi greeted as she smiled, stumbling her way into the man's office, "I'm sorry I didn't make it to lunch. Joonmyun and I had a consult earlier." She mentioned while looking to the man behind the desk. He looked up to her and shook his head as he replied: "It's fine—I heard you weren't feeling well earlier, are you okay now?" The ginger-headed man looked up at her, blinking in concern as she smiled softly. "Yeah, yeah, I'm fine now. I just forgot to take my meds this morning, nothing to worry about."

The man nodded, smiling to her as he stood up from his seat, grasping his charts close to his chest. The brunette blinked, looking around for her best friend. "Is.. Jae Mi here, Baek?" He shook his head and scrambled around his desk, looking for a pen. "She went to take her break, maybe, 20 minutes ago." Nami nodded before excusing herself, not wanting to bother the man as she already is. "Hey," he called, "do you want to grab a snack later? Maybe after your shift?" She looked at him and smiled sadly. "I wish I could, Baekhyun, really.. but we have a surgery in a few hours and I don't even know if I'll be off on time." 

Baekhyun smiled and shook his head, "I can wait for you." 

For a moment, Nami felt hesitant but she smiled and nodded to the man. "If you can then I won't stop you, and I'll be impressed if you waited so long for me." He chuckled, grinning at the thought as he looked at her before looking down to the floor with drooped eyes. "It's not like I haven't waited for you long enough before." 

"What was that?" She asked. 

"Oh, nothing." 

"Oh... well, okay, I'm going to go find Jae Mi."

And she found her—or all of the interns plopped down on one hospital bed in the basement hideaway for the interns. Nami blinked at the three as she huffed and plopped down on the edge of the bed, crossing her legs under her. "What brings you down here?" Kihyun asked as he sadly chewed on his apple. Jae Mi sighed as she looked at the wall in front of them. "I lost a little NICU baby today.. it was the saddest thing I have ever encountered," said the blonde. Jiwon stared at the wall and tilted his head back. "I lost a patient, she's wandering around the hospital right about now..." 

Kihyun sighed, "A patient died on me during surgery.. her heart failed to pump and she left us.." The three stared at the wall while Nami blinked, leaning her head back while staring at the white bricked walls. "What about you, Na? Anything happened today?" 

"No.." she muttered softly. "But I'm pretty sure doctor Byun just asked me out..." 

The trio snapped to look at her with widen eyes. Jae Mi's head perked to her best friend while Jiwon blinkd uncontrollably. "Say what?" The three questioned. The brunette turned to look at her friends and blinked, nodding her head slowly. "What did he say?" Kihyun inquried while she shrugged: "All he did was ask if I wanted to go out and grab a snack and I told I was going to be in a surgery that might last past the time I get out of here." 

"And what did he say?" 

"He said he'd wait for me."
