Chapter 5 “Just Like Little Kids”



“How’s he?” Changmin asked as he got up.

“He’s fine, he just asleep, the doctor said he’s too tired…” Yunho spoke as he got out from the patient room.

The four men sat on the seat as the silence ate them; Junsu next to Yoochun and Yunho next to Changmin. They’re like divided into two groups for no reason.

All of them shocked when Jae lost his consciousness, they kept calling the man, yet, Jaejoong was like asleep, didn’t move or answered or gave reaction after the pain paralyzed him. They got Jae into the hospital as soon as they could and here they’re now, waiting outside Jaejoong room.

“I’m sorry…” Yoochun spoke,” I shouldn’t suggest us to have drinks after all...”

“I shouldn’t persuade Jaejoong hyung to come with us…” Changmin added.

“Yaaa! You guys, stop being so pathetic, OK?” the dolphin boy finally spoke,” We’re all at fault, OK?”

“No, I’m the one who suggested the nightclub…” Yunho blamed himself.

“Yaa!” Junsu hissed.

“Maybe…we should get some rest, my brain can’t work properly…” the maknae said.

“Yeah,” Yoochun agreed.

“I’ll stay with Jaejoong tonight, you guys can go ho---“

“No!” the three other men spoke,” We want to stay too!”

Yunho shook his head; he knew he wouldn’t change s’ mind,” Alright…”

He still felt the headache; it hurt but not as much as before. Trying to figure out where he was, he opened his eyes and looked around.

“Hey there,” a familiar voice greeted him. 

“…Where am I?” he asked as he tried to be sober.

“Hospital…”

As soon as the word ‘hospital’ was being progressed by his brain, he felt huge feeling hit him. He tried to get up, but he could only grin in pain.

“Aishh! What do you think you’re doing?! Don’t move so suddenly!” 

“…Jungmin?” Jaejoong finally realized it’s Jungmin in front of him.

“Yeah, it’s me. You’re lucky I’m the one who took care of you…Well, if other doctor, it’ll be hectic,” Jungmin said as he checked the beeping machine next to Jae’s bed.

“Thanks…” a sweet-bitter smile carved on Jae’s lips. He knew Jungmin wouldn’t break their promise after all.

“Your condition is stable for now and I already added more dosage, I’ll give it to you tomorrow since you can discharge tomorrow afternoon,” Jungmin said,” I know you won’t want to stay long here…”

“Yeah…thanks again,” Jaejoong spoke as Jungmin excused himself. Later on, the figure of four men showed up from the door and walked toward the one on hospital bed.

“Hyung…” Junsu’s worried face made Jae felt bad for them. They’re supposed to have fun, but he ruined everything.

“I’m fine,” Jae ensured with a weak smile,” Sorry to ruin the night…”

“No, it didn’t matter as long as hyung is fine,” Changmin said.

“Get some rest, we’ll be here…” Yoochun spoke.

“Goodnight…” Yunho said despite that time was almost morning. Jaejoong nodded as he closed his eyes once again. 

For the first time after everything that happened, Kim Jaejoong could sleep tightly that night. He wasn’t afraid because he knew he’s not alone, s, friends, brothers, families were there.

“What did you tell them?” he asked.

“I just tell them you lack of rest, that’s all…” the doctor replied.

“Oh…So that’s the reason they told me to sleep even though I’ve been sleeping for more than 8 hours…” now Jaejoong knew why s behaved weird.

“Yeah, sorry for that,” Jungmin smiled, but then his expression turned into a serious one,” Jae…Just want to remind you that if the pain---“

“I know…” Jae spoke as he looked at the window, amazed the beautiful sky that painted naturally. He admired it, yet he couldn’t help but smile bitterly,” I don’t have much time, do I?”

The man told another thank you as he existed the doctor’s room. He made sure he hid the bag of medication he just got into his pocket, unseen. Then, he met at the hall.

“Are you OK, Jae?” Yunho’s worried expression got him, he smiled as he reminisced the days they always saw the leadersshi’s worried face.

“I’m fine, I just thank the doctor and stuff…” Jae spoke.

“Jae hyung, it’s OK if you want to stay here for another night,” Junsu suggested.

“Once again guys, I’m fine!” Jaejoong smiled,” And we got a lots to prepare and do right?”

“Well, that’s true, we need practice, etc…But…” Yoochun was still worried.

“Geez! I’m the ‘Umma’ here! I don’t need you guys to be my ‘Umma’,” Jae decided to make a joke and all of them smiled, Junsu even laughed his famous laugh.

“I miss my ‘Umma’,” Changmin spoke,” And now she’s…err…he’s back! Yey! That means lots of food!”

“Yaa…”

They five men decided to go home that day. They thought they should let Jae rest for another day. Well, the older one refused to, but four VS one, he lost.

“Changmin! Stop messing the table!” despite the fact that he just got out from hospital few hours ago, Jaejoong could shout out loud to scold the maknae.

“I’m not messing…I’m eating on it…” Min defended himself.

“Min, you shouldn’t make your ‘Umma’ shout like that, especially when he’s just recovered…”Yunho teased.

“Omoo! ‘Appa’, kwenchanayo~” Yoochun teased as he imitated Jaejoong’s voice.

“Guys, I need to eat…” Junsu was on the urge of puking because the cold jokes s made. Well, he made jokes too, but not-that-cold-jokes, he made incredible-funny-jokes-for-people-who-understand-his-languages. 

“OK, that’s funny…” Jae spoke as he started to eat too. That night they ate at Jae’s house again. The men ended up on the comfy couch as they played the cards. Beside them, on the desk, a can of soda with whatever things they put inside was waiting to be drunk by the loser.

“Arrrg!!! Noo!!!” Yunho hissed in frustration. He just got beaten up Yoochun’s card. Now, the leadersshi was officially the loser that going to drink the special soda made by former TVXQ member.

“DRINK IT!!!” the four men cheered as they forced Yunho to drink the deathly-soda. Changmin took a chance; he went back behind the leadersshi and held him. Meanwhile Yoochun and Junsu held Yunho’s hands and feet.

“Mianhe…” Jaejoong smiled devilishly as he poured the soda into Yunho’s mouth. The poor man struggled but didn’t have a choice except to drink all of it.

“Hmm…!!!” Yunho couldn’t fight back. He just knew that as soon as he finished drinking, he rushed into the toilet, getting out whatever he ate and some of his meal. Five minutes passed and no sign of Yunho, the others decided to check into the bathroom. Junsu opened the door as he was pulled inside. The door opened wide as the four men went inside.

Water was poured into Junsu’s face as Yoochun slipped on the floor because the soap that’s somehow wondering on the floor. Changmin took quick reflect, he was about to get out from the hell he just got into, but hell! He couldn’t open the door.

“Yaaaaaa!!!” Changmin shouted as he felt water being poured over him.

“Yun!” Jaejoong hissed as he ended up on the floor, wet.

Yunho finally realized that Jae just got out from the hospital; he stopped his attack on the others as he went into Jae’s side,” Are you OK?”

Seeing Yunho’s worried and guilty face made Jae laughed. This time, water was splashed into Yunho’s face. Yunho wiped it as he saw the oldest one grinned and laughed his famous laugh that would kill any woman in a blink eye.

Didn’t manage to tell what’s going on, Yunho already being pushed from behind as Junsu, Yoochun, Changmin dragged him into the bathtub. Junsu couldn’t help but fell inside the bathtub as Yunho pulled him. Yoochun fell too because Junsu leaned on him, as for Changmin, he managed to run away.

Jaejoong laughed as he saw the three men having some wrestling inside the bathtub. That made him smile and felt like old days, where the five of them always fooling around.

Couldn’t restrain himself, Jaejoong pushed Changmin as both of them landed inside the bathtub (the bathtub was big enough for five of them). 

“Yaaaa!!!” the maknae protested.

“Let’s have some water fight, haha…!!!” Junsu spoke as he splashing the water.

“Yunho hyung! You’ll pay for what you have done to us!” Yoochun threatened with the new water gun he got somewhere. Jaejoong couldn’t figure out why the water gun was in his bathroom in the first place.

“You guys were the one who started it first!” Yunho spoke,” Who the hell that put wasabi inside that soda in the first place?!”

Everyone stopped as they pointed into certain someone. Yunho looked at the unbelievable culprit.

“JAEJOONG!!!” Yunho’s shout could be heard as the five of them played just like bunch of kiddos.
