Ladies

Day By Day

The mess of fabric and sketches occupied some space in the studio of Lee Hana.

"My goodness. Did a monster attack this room?" Yi Lin said as she entered their once very neat workplace.

Hana was seated on her work desk, busy cutting up fabric. "If monster you mean me, then yes. It was attacked." Yi Lin pouted, "I brought you your favorite, Matcha Latte."

"Oh, bless you. " Hana looked up taking the cup from Yi Lin.

"Hey, I know what our collection's due in a month, but you still need that thing called sleep." Yi Lin said, picking up some sketches on the floor.

"Wow, this is nice." she commented, examining the design. Hana quickly stole it away from her hand, "No, it's not." Yi Lin grabbed a plain paper, "It just needs a few improvements, but it's workable, Hana."

"I don't know, Lin. It just doesn't give off the feel of our brand." Hana commented, chucking the design in the trash bin.

"Fine, I'll think of something. Let me find a pencil in this mess, first." Yi Lin replied, scanning the room.

"Don't bother, just get this one." Hana said, taking a pencil from her hair bun. "Oh, by the way, what do you think of this color...." she added, raising a pastel blue chiffon fabric.

"I actually like it, are we going for a pastel vibe this time?" Yi Lin answered, touching the fabric.

"Yeah, I was actually thinking about that. Since the designs were in dark hues during our last collection." Hana explained, and then she continued to cut the fabric.

"Yeah, we can go for it. Something calmer..." Yi Lin muttered. "Should we finalize the color scheme, then?" she added. She hurried to the left corner of the room to look for their color swatch book. "Found it!" Yi Lin announced, lifting up the book.

"Found what?"

A familiar voice said, Yi Lin glanced at the studio's door. Kai was standing there, a box of cake in one of his hands, he was dresses in a gray button down shirt and black pants. He grinned when Yi Lin saw him, "Jongin! What are you doing here?" she asked, smiling at him.

"Hi, Kai." Hana greeted, but she didn't look at him since she was busy with the fabric. He addressed her in return. Kai fixed his attention back at Yi Lin, "Just wanted to see you, plus, I have some cake."

Yi Lin gladly took the cake from him, "Good timing, my friend over there is dying for energy." Then she kissed his cheek, "Thank you." He smiled, "You're welcome."

"The lovey-dovey has begun." Hana commented, fixing her eyes at them. Yi Lin rolled her eyes, "Okay, Hana.Okaaaay."

"You know what, I'll just prepare this for you guys." Kai suggested, "You do have a small kitchen here, right?" he asked, taking the cake from Yi Lin's hands. She nodded, "Yeah, it's at the back."

Yi Lin brought the color swatch book to Hana's table.

"Can you say relationship goals?" Hana mumbled, teasing Yi Lin. "Ew, can you not use those hippy terms on me." Yi Lin replied, slapping Hana's arm.

"Ow!" Hana yelped, then she playfully shrugged, "At least you're inspired with your boyfriend, makes it easier for our Winter collection."

Yi Lin laughed at her, "So, why not look for your own inspiration?" Hana gave her a look of disbelief, "Been there. Done that, Lin. "

"Yeah, you've been there. But you never told me the story." Yi Lin replied, Hana sighed, "It was nothing, just a short-term thing."

"Doesn't seem like nothing." Yi Lin mumbled.

Hana dropped her scissors, and said, "Are we you just gonna nvestigate on my past or are you gonna help me with these designs?"

Yi Lin smirked, "Fine. I'll stop questioning. Hand me that paper, will you?" Hana handed her the sketch.

After some time, they ate the cheesecake with Jongin. And then he even helped with picking some of the color schemes.

Yi Lin laughed at his serious face, and he secretly held her hand under the table. When Hana excused herself, to go to the bathroom, they were left alone for a while. Yi Lin fixed Jongin's collar, "You seem a bit tired..."

"Yeah, Lay and I have been focusing on the latest motorworks project..." He explained, "Oppa did mention that to me. You still have work today right?" Yi Lin replied.

"Ugh. Don't remind me..." Jongin said, resting her head on Yi Lin's shoulder. "Hey, Jongin..." she started.

"Hm?"

"Do you mind telling oppa about Sophie's event tomorrow? Just to remind him." Yi Lin said. "Sure, I'll tell him. I have to leave though." he assured.

"I'm back." Hana announced as she walked back to her desk. "What did I miss?" she asked.

Yi Lin shook her head, "Nothing, Jongin's leaving now." Hana nodded, "Okay, thanks for the cake, though!"

Jongin smiled, "No problem, I guess I'll just see ya. Annyeong."

"Annyeong!" Hana said, as he walked, Yi Lin accompanied him to the door.

"Just text me, if I'll pick you up. Okay?" Kai stated. "I will, I might finish late though..." Yi Lin replied. He shrugged before opening the door, "I don't mind... Goodbye."

"Alright, goodbye." Yi Lin answered, then he kissed her before he left.

Yi Lin went back to Hana, she cheerfully grabbed the sketches. She looked at Hana, she was looking at her with amusement. Yi Lin raised a brow,

"What? Let's get back to business!" Hana laughed, and they continued designing the collection.
