Among Big Shots - HiatusAlthough it was only a natural and legitimate reaction, Taecyeon didn't have the energy to deal with his roommate's surprise. However, he pretty much had to since Chansung blocked the door and thereby him from entering their apartment.
"Dude, what on earth are you doing home? You left a day ago!"
Taecyeon shrugged. "I didn't feel well."
He disliked telling lies. But, he was void of any will to explain the situation. It was a long story and the night, as well as his patience, was short. Morning would be a better time to tell the kiddo everything. Judging by his clothes and state of hair, Taecyeon could tell that the youngster had been deeply asleep when he had to answer the doorbell two o'clock at night.
Chansung frowned and nearly opened his mouth to question him. But, Taecyeon acted first and pushed his way through. His body would soon crumble to the floor unless he reached the sofa or bed in time. It literally ached all over. He planned to demand a massage from his boss or her personal assistant once he received the chance.
Walking surprisingly fast despite the soreness in his feet and legs, Taecyeon found himself drawn to the kitchen somehow. Probably because of the grumbling sound emitting from his stomach. If thinking back, Taecyeon couldn't remember the last time he seized the chance to properly eat. Except for an ice cream, he hadn't consumed any food since breakfast. Maybe mental exhaustion and anxiety had made him forget his hunger.
Only for it to return as if through explosion.
"Pizza in the fridge," Chansung announced as his hunkering, blanket-covered presence passed by the kitchen entrance.
Strangely, though, the kiddo didn't head to bed, Taecyeon learned when he entered the living room with slices of heated pizza on a plate, a huge glass of water and a pair of knife and fork. The kid sat in the sofa, leaning his head against the backrest with closed eyes. Fearing that he might wake him up, Taecyeon considered sitting in the kitchen…
that, Chansung had his bed. He better lay in it if he wanted peace and quiet. The living room wasn't his room, after all.
Having placed everything on the table, Taecyeon released quite the exhale when he, at last, was able to sit down. For a moment, he mimicked Chansung and leaned back his neck with closed eyes. His body relaxed with each breath. It was dark and quiet, precisely the way he liked it. Taecyeon would have fallen asleep hadn't his stomach grumbled.
Loudly enough, as well, to wake them both.
"Geez, will you eat already?" Chansung complained and scrunched his face together in obvious irritation.
Pizza stuffed his mouth and transformed his returning curse into muffled sounds. The kiddo better learn his place, or else…
"Alright, with some food in you, I guess that you won't be a little about it anymore; what happened?"
In response, Taecyeon rolled his eyes and silently piled his mouth with delicious pizza. He couldn't think of a moment when the dish had ever tasted as delicious and heavenly.
Minutes passed without a single sound from either of them, only Taecyeon munching away and thereby causing a few chews. When he felt thirsty, he leaned forward, grabbed the glass, swallowed its' content before putting it down on the table again. A sigh left his lungs and he turned to take a look at Chansung, who had been disturbingly quiet. Usually, the kiddo was stubbornly curious and inquisitive. Much to the dismay of anyone nearby.
When he saw that the kiddo seemed to have fallen asleep again, with his mouth hanging open as well, Taecyeon suddenly felt a pressure in his upper body. It began in his stomach before travelled upwards through his chest, increasing as it went up. He couldn't contain it and felt the pressure would explode the closer it reached his mouth.
Not that it was anything bad.
He leaned close to Chansung, and he burped. Right into the kiddo's unbeknown ear.
Twitching for the life of him, said roommate woke up and looked around in confusion. He, on the other hand, innocently hit his chest to remove any remaining gas from his gullet. It wouldn't be good for his digestion to leave it.
"Did you burp into my ear?" the kiddo asked. His tone sounded half suspicious, half in disbelief.
"Pfft. Kiddo, I'm not you," Taecyeon answered and rose up to bring the dishes to the kitchen.
It earned him a burning glare at the back of his neck, which he completely ignored. Although it had been disgusting of him, it was his first time to Chansung, compared to dozen times it had been done to him. The exchange was only fair,
