"Yes, thank you for coming. We apologize that it had to end so early" Kihyun bowed as he stood next to the door to bid farewell to the guests.

The large fancy ballroom was nearly emptied out as the Gala finally ended. The few guests that were lingering behind were still slightly upset at the turn of events that had happened during dinner. But they kept quiet and put up a facade as the Director personally bowed and bid them adieu.

"Thank you for coming-" he bowed again but froze midway when he realizes that it was your parents.

"Abeonim-" he started but stop when your father held a hand. Chief Lee shook his head and merely patted the younger on the back affectionately.

"You've been through a lot. I understand" your father smiled softly squeezing Kihyun's shoulder.

Kihyun swallowed a sob as he felt his eyes prickle.

"Aigoo no more tears. It doesn't suit your handsome face" your mother cooed patting the side of his face fondly.

"I'm really sorry for how I behave tonight. I should be punished" he bowed deeply.

"It's okay son. You have your reasons. We're sure of it" your father nodded.

"Is Joohyun okay?" He asks timidly.

"She's feeling better" your mother nodded "Changkyun said he'd bring her home after your brother allows it"

"Ah I see. That's a relief then" he gulped.

"Mr and Mrs Lee? Your limo is here" the bellboy came and gestured your parents to the lobby.

"We'll be right there. Thank you" your mother smiled making the latter to nod and leave.

"Are you leaving straight away?" Kihyun asked wide eyed.

"It's getting late. Us old folk can't handle the night life as we use to" your mother joked making the younger to break into a small smile.

"There's the charming Kihyun that we know and love" she crooned pinching his cheek slightly "We'll get going now okay?"

"Have a safe trip home Abeonim. Omonim." He bowed yet again.

"We'll see you tomorrow at the wedding" your father bid as he hug your mother by the waist.

Kihyun watched as your parents exit the ballroom and entered the hotel lobby. It was no surprise as how you were an Angel when you were brought up by ones. He bitterly smiled. You really are too good for him. Kihyun was about to break down again when he felt a pat on his back.

"Just promise you won't forget us just because you're going to be the first to get married now" Wonho chide as he grabbed the younger by the neck and ruffled his head hard.

"Aish hyung" Kihyun laughed pushing the latter away.

"We'll see you tomorrow aite?" Shownu chuckled patting him on the back.

"Okay. Thanks hyung" Kihyun smiled as Wonho and Shownu gave him one last hug before leaving.

Kihyun turn to see the tall younger still standing behind. Hyungwon wouldn't look him in the eye and kept kicking the floor with the tip of his shoe.

"Aren't you going to say goodbye?" Kihyun tilt his head smiling softly.

"You're a real you know that?" Hyungwon spoke looking at him through his fringe not really lifting his head up.

"So I've been told" Kihyun chuckled sadly.

"She doesn't deserve what you did to her" the younger chastise.

"I know.. And I regret it. I shouldn't have went for her in the first place" he admitted "It should've been either of you instead me. I don't deserve her not one bit"

Hyungwon stared at his friend who was obviously feeling miserable. He scoffed lightly before finally lifting his head up.

"You should apologise to her and promise to never break her heart ever again" he said before started walking away "And I wasn't only talking about Joohyun" he stopped midway.

Kihyun turn to face the younger's back, baffled.

"Your fiancé. She deserves better too" he added before entering the lobby.

Stunned Kihyun looked around the practically void ballroom. Apart from the servers and staff that were clearing up, there was no one else there. He shut his eyes tight and swallowed hard. Tonight really was a disaster. He would've given anything if he could just turn back time. A flash of Jennie's face earlier slipped into his mind. His heart broke at the sight of her tears. "Oh hey" Kihyun acknowledge the younger.

I.M stood in front of him with his hands shoved in the pockets of his slacks. He had his tongue pressed in his inner cheek and was looking at the elder with pure annoyance that Kihyun would've laughed if it was any other night.

"Is Joohyun feeling better?" He asks carefully.

"You should ask her that yourself" I.M retort making the latter to blink "She wants to talk you" he said before turning and headed down the lobby.

Looking around him, Kihyun had no other choice but to follow the maknae. He wondered if its true that you really wanted to see him. It seemed unlikely but he would risk it if means getting to see you again.

You were massaging the spot where you had plucked out the IV drip from before. The slight bleeding had stopped but that didn't mean it no longer hurt. You winced as you touched the bandage that I.M had wrapped around your elbow earlier. You also chortled at how much bickering you two did when he insisted that you get bandaged. As Jennie sat down next to you, she bit her lip anxiously and was avoiding all forms of eye contact. Feeling slightly awkward, you too played with your fingers nervously.

"I'm very sorry for the salad earlier. I wasn't aware of your allergy. It was very selfish of me. I should've asked first" she aplogised genuinely.

"No. Ms Jennie. Like you said, you didn't know. It was my mistake. I should've been more careful" you argued slowly.

It turn quiet again between you two as the both of you look away awkwardly. Not when Jennie cleared loudly and turn to face you properly did you lift your head up.

"I read your blog" she confessed "Well not all of it.. I kinda skimmed through your recent ones and really read the ones before you left for New York" she paused making you blink.

"All those things you wrote about Kihyun oppa..it made me realise how actually intimate you two were" she admitted.
