Something warm fell over my shoulders waking me up from my nap. I was using my arms as pillows while I rested them over the covered piano keys. Just as I was about to open my eyes I felt an arm tuck under my knees and another around my waist. Slowly I was lifted from my seat. I kept my eyes closed, pretending to still be asleep.

I was brought into the bedroom and slipped under the covers. Where a familiar scent filled my lungs and made my heart hurt.

I felt him sit down on the side of the bed and he sighed heavily.

"What's wrong?" I asked as I sat up.

He just shook his head, not even looking at me.

"Jaejoong..." I called out.

He stood up and took off his watch, laid it on the bedside drawer then started unbottoning his shirt.

I just watched him silently.

"Why'd you come here?" he asked, bringing out clothes from his dresser.

"I thought I'd play the piano a bit before I return the house keys. Sorry if I was trespassing."

"you're not intruding, technically, this is still OUR home." he tossed his dressshirt to the laundry basket then put on a gray t-shirt.

I smoothened the creases on the sheets as I took in what he just said.

"Are you sleeping over?" he unbuckled his belt and pulled his pants down.

I looked up at him and shook my head.

He walked towards me then motioned for me to move. I did so.

Lying down beside me, he just acted like there's nothing wrong. He then lied on his side with his back facing me.

"what are you doing Jae?" I stared at his black hair.

"Sleeping." he mumbled.

"I'm here."

He turned his head towards me, "so? Didn't we use to do this?"

"You don't like being married to me..."

"Just because I said I didn't like being married to you, doesn't mean I want to get rid of you." he spoke as he faced me fully.

"I don't get you... I swear." I rolled my eyes as I smirked.

He smiled at me.

I returned his gesture.

"Are you sleeping over?" he patted the bed.

I shook my head, "have you signed it?"

His smile faded and he pulled me down.

"I'm too tired to talk about professional things. Just... sleep."

I felt my heart beat faster. As I laid down beside him.

"I love you Jaejoong." I muttered.

He averted his gaze.

My chest felt like it got hit by something heavy. I got off the bed.

"I have somewhere else to be." I spoke as I walked out.

My pillow rose and fell in a standard tempo. Even if it was pretty hard, it was perfect to lie on. My hand rested on the tummy part of the man I'm resting my head on.

"Hey~" I felt his voice vibrate through his chest.

I looked up at him, "Hi Jae." 

"Good morning honey" his voice was rough but it was alright.

He leaned down a bit and I met his lips, "morning to you too" 

I sat up and watched him cover himself  with the comforter and closed his eyes again.

My hand wondered to his hair, then the side of his face.

He grabbed my hand and softly kissed it then he carefully pulled me down to him.

"I love waking up to you." he whispered.

"I love seeing you in the morning too. All messed up with morning breath and undone hair" I giggled.

"Pssh... I don't have morning breath and you think my hair is y."

"shut up."

"I love you."

My eyes widened at his sudden expression.

"I love you." I replied

I left the keys on the table beside the door before leaving.

Can you feel the monochromatic air in the story?
