Aaron and Xiu’s apartment

Xiu: *hands her a glass of water* There you go

Pei Ci: Thanks *smile* I wonder where the two of them are right now.

Xiu: Probably dating. We shouldn’t disturb *smiles*

Pei Ci’s heart skips a beat as she watches the charming guy. A talented and kind-hearted person is indeed a rare gem.

Pei Ci: So…you love music?

Xiu: Yea! I had been playing guitar since school. Been in love (With guitar) ever since then.

Pei Ci POV: He must be attached already. Hang on…Pei Ci! You can’t let your mind stray to these stuffs! What am I thinking?! I am just a nobody.

Pei Ci had mistaken Xiu for saying that he is in love. He only meant being in love with music and guitar. Little did she know that Xiu had already developed interest in her and is pondering whether or not to ask her out alone.

Xiu and Pei Ci: I….*pauses* You go first *Pauses*

The both of them smile and Xiu signals Pei Ci to speak first.

Pei Ci: I think I got to go. It’s getting late. Thanks for your drink.

Xiu felt a little downhearted upon hearing so but he did not divulge this emotion to Pei Ci. Just as Pei Ci is walking towards the door, Xiu plucked up his courage and called out to her.

Xiu: Pei Ci! Well…will you be free for dinner sometime?

Pei Ci came to an abrupt stop: *turns and smiles* Wouldn’t your girlfriend be jealous?

Xiu: *raised his eyebrows* That’s gonna happen…..if I have a girlfriend. But…I guess I’m not that charming enough. *Smiles*

For a crucial moment, Pei Ci’s heart sank deeply but it got lifted up almost immediately upon knowing the fact that Xiu is not attached.

Pei Ci: *smiles shyly* Well…then I guess dinner would be fine. I will see you at work. *smiles*

Xiu: See you.

With that, Pei Ci left the apartment and at the instant Xiu closes the door, he exclaims in joy and excitement. The both of them can’t wait for the first date….

The next day

In the office

Gui Gui rushes up the stairs like a crazy woman, taking periodic checks at her watch. Needless to say, she had overslept and is rushing to the office, hoping to be in time for the meeting.

Just as she pushes open the stairway door while panting, she could feel someone standing beside her. As she looks up and expecting to be Aaron, she was surprised.

Gui Gui: *Panting*

Eddie: Hi, pretty. *Smiles*

Gui Gui: *frowns* What are you *panting* doing here?

Eddie: *smirks* Waiting for you

Gui Gui: I don’t remember asking you to do that. I don’t know you.

Eddie: Correction. You don’t know me well but I will give you a chance to.

Gui Gui: I’m sorry, I don’t need to know you well and I’m not interested in knowing you well.

With that, she leaves quickly, leaving Eddie behind.

Eddie: Well..one day, you will be dating me.

Gui Gui rushes to the meeting room and looks around for Xiu and Aaron. However, no one was in the meeting room. Just then, someone taps her shoulder. Thinking that it’s Eddie, Gui Gui immediately snapped at the person.

Gui Gui snapped while turning back: Stop following me!

However, she was taken aback by the person facing her. It’s Aaron.

Aaron: *puzzled* Who’s following you? Who has the guts anyway?

Gui Gui: *apologetic* I’m sorry, it’s someone not important. Don’t worry about it. Anyway, isn’t there supposed to be a meeting?

Aaron: Cancelled at the last minute. *Gui Gui heaves a sigh of relief* Lucky you. *Aaron smiles* Overslept again?

Gui Gui: *smiles shyly* Yea…I

Aaron: Miss me too much? *laughs*

Gui Gui: *embarrassed* No!! You wish!

Aaron: Well that’s really my wish!!!

Gui Gui: Stop it! *laughs*

The two of them were too engrossed in their conversation to realize that Xiu was looking at them from a distance.

Xiu: *couldn’t stand the two of them* Hey lovebirds! Time to set off!

Aaron: Hey Xiu! Where did you come out from?

Xiu: Was here all along just that your eyes are blinded by love….

Aaron and Gui Gui laughs.

Gui Gui: All right, what’s your program today?

Xiu: You got to attend a variety show and attend an interview by a famous magazine editor.

Aaron: All right. Looks like it’s not going to be a busy day.

Little did Aaron know that today will probably be the busiest day in his life….

---Variety Show---

Setting

Xiu walks towards Aaron while wearing a worried expression.
Aaron: Why the sour face?

Xiu: *sighs* You are not alone on this show today. Hebe is attending with you.

Aaron was slightly taken aback: All right….then let it be. I don’t mind. I doubt she will.

Xiu: The problem is; the program requires the two of you to have intimate contacts because recently, there had been a lot of your fans supporting the Hebe and Aaron pairing as the news of your new series spread. Upon hearing that the two of you will be attending this live show, there had been a lot of comments on line, supporting this idea and anticipating this pairing.

Aaron: *frowns* But…I guess the host wouldn’t do anything that crosses the line, right?

Xiu: I certainly hope it will be fine. This show is hosted by Show Luo Zhi Xiang and Alien Huang.

Aaron: Well, I knew the two of them beforehand. I guess it wouldn’t be difficult. They are understanding people.

Xiu: Let’s just hope for the best.

---Before entering setting---

Aaron: *smiles* I didn’t know you were going to be here.

Hebe: *Smiles* The company thought it would be a good idea to publicize the new series so I agreed to come.

Aaron: But have you heard, they wanted us to be more…

Hebe: Yea, I have heard. I guess we just got to do as we are told, right? *Smiles*

Aaron: But…I don’t think it would be a good idea. It’s too…

Hebe: Don’t worry, I can handle this. *Smiles*

Just as Aaron was about to debate, he heard the host introducing them and that is a signal for them to enter into the setting.

---Recording of the variety show---

Show Luo: Let’s welcome our star!!

Alien Huang: Hi Aaron and Hebe! Our golden screen couple!!

Aaron and Hebe: Hi!

The program proceeded without any hiccups and soon it came to the last section of the show- the games.

Show: Well, in this game, we have to blind-fold the two of you and Aaron will have a lock in his hands while Hebe will have a key to the lock. The two of you will turn on the spot ten rounds and then walk towards each other and find each other to unlock the lock.

Soon enough, Aaron and Hebe were blindfolded and turned ten rounds on the spot. The both of them started to search for one another and eventually, without much difficulty, they succeeded.

Hebe uses her sense of touch to unlock the lock in Aaron’s hands. She could feel his presence strongly and she misses this feeling…

She remembers the past memories which run in her mind for a thousand times and she remembers what she saw in the morning- Aaron and Gui Gui in the office. She couldn’t stand the sight of them being together and it makes her heart hurts even deeper as she recalls this unwanted memory.

Just then, as Hebe moves closer to Aaron, she accidentally trips and fell onto Aaron, pushing him onto the ground. Taking this opportunity, Hebe lets herself fall on Aaron and deliberately planted a kiss on his cheek…
