3 months into their new found friendship, Tiffany seemed to be avoiding Yuri.

Tiffany would decline lunch, breaks and even dinners.

They no longer hang out by the pond in front of their school.



'She's obviously ignoring me, and I don't even know why! And it's frustrating me!'

'Relax okay. I’m sure she has her reasons.'

'I'll get Yoong to talk to her.'



Though closeness exists amongst the four, Tiffany has been forging a closer friendship with Yoona.

Yoona is easy-going and being in the same school sector, was like catalyst acting for them.

Both of them took design and fashion whereas Yuri was in Sports and Sooyoung was in Culinary. 




'Hey Tiff.'

'Oh hey Yoong. Sooyoung's at training?'

'Yup.'

Both stayed quiet for a while.

'You know, you can tell me why you're avoiding Yuri.'

Tiffany looked up.

'Wh...What are you talking about? I’m not avoiding her. Just been busy that's all.'

'C'mon Tiff, I was where you are exactly a year ago. I know your workload. So tell me what's wrong.'

She sighed.

She looked up to Yoona who's not giving any signs of backing down.

'People’s talking Yoong. About how I’m new and Yuri's giving all these special attention to me. I don't like it.'

'I mean, it’s not that I don't like what Yuri's attention, but I...I can be independent.'

'Don't you miss her?'

Silence.

'Tiff?'

Silence.

'Tiffany?'

'Sure I do. She’s been around since I stepped foot into this school. She’s practically everywhere around me. Of course I feel her absence.'

'Can I ask you something?'

'Sure..'

Yoona kept mum for a while.

'Yoong, you can ask me anything.'

'Okay, here goes.. Do you by any chance harbour any feelings for her?'

'Hahaha. What? No Yoong. She's just a senior and a friend. Someone I look up to.'

'What if she likes YOU more than a dongsaeng..?'

'I don't think so.'

Yoona shrugged it off.

'Look anyway Tiff, it's not fair how you're treating Yuri. She's obviously hurt. You shouldn't be avoiding her this way. It's clearly unfair for you as well, losing Yuri's friendship just because people are talking.'

'Think wisely okay.'

'I'm going to meet Soo at their training. You wanna come?'

Tiffany took a while.

'I'll think about it.'

'Okay then, I hope I’ll see you later.'

Yoong gave Tiff a quick hug and walked out. 







Sooyoung was walking hand in hand with Yoona with moody Yuri right beside them.

They were exiting the sports hall when Tiffany came into view.

'Hey guys.'

Yuri looked up, soaking up the voice that she's been missing for so long. 

Gazing into the beautiful eyes Tiffany owns, Yuri stepped forward and gave her a hug. 

A long meaningful hug. 

Past few weeks without Tiffany has been quite a ride. A ride which Yuri would not wish to take on any longer. 

Suddenly she felt mad.

Mad at Tiffany for leaving her.

Mad at Tiffany for listening to the useless gossips flying around.

She broke the hug and glared at the latter. 

'You!' startling Tiffany.

'You are coming with me!'

Without much of a choice as Yuri was already dragging her, Tiffany bid farewell to the on looking couple hastily. 





Yuri dragged Tiffany to her bike, placed the helmet on her and rode away, cutting Tiffany every time the latter tried to voice out her thoughts.

The fifteen minutes ride brought both girls to a bird-watching tower in a nearby park. 

Not a single soul was around them.

Tiffany did not dare to speak up because she knew how wrong she was.

And Yuri looked like she will explode anytime soon.


Keeping her silence, Tiffany waited for Yuri to speak up.

She do not wish to anger the latter further. 

But Yuri remained silent for a very long time so she decided to speak up.

'Yul un..Unnie..' Tiffany stuttered.

'Unnie, I’m really sorry.'



'Fany ah..'

Yuri turned around and faced the latter. 

'Will you.....'

'Hmmm..?'

'Just don't ignore me ever again okay..?'

A smile spread across the latter, and she whispered. 

'I won't.'



Yes, Yuri shut her intention to confess.

'Dammit. Why are you beating so fast?' Yuri punched her chest.


'Unnie, you talking to yourself..?'

'What? No, course not. C'mon, I'll take you home.'




The following days resumed as how it has always been for the quartets. 

They are back to enjoying each other's company with Tiffany ignoring all the unproductive comments flying around. 





It was Valentines' Day, when things started to change. 

Sure, Yuri knows how popular Tiffany is. 

Yuri was no less.

But that day was an eye opener.

Tiffany had more admirers than Yuri had thought.

And that landed her into the state of panic.




Yuri was pacing around the bench area where Yoona and Sooyoung are both enjoying some snacks. 

'Yah. Can you stop it already. If you're so paranoid, just confess.'

'Don't you think it's too soon?'

'Yuri-ah! We've known her for close to a year. There's no issue of being too soon.'

'You know what, this festive is actually the perfect time for you to confess. It's up to you. We're here if you need the help. But don't go biting nails when she's actually accepted somebody out of the whole school proposing to her!'

'Dammit. I hate it when you're right.'



Yuri knew for so long, how her heart longs for Tiffany.

And she would have made her confession so much earlier if Tiffany has been showing some possible mutual feelings.

And well, Tiffany is not.

Yuri's unsure what Tiffany's feeling.

She just seems happy for all those times they spent together.

And Yuri had doubts to what kind of happy.

But today, all that won't matter. 

She has decided.

She'll take the risk.




Tiffany was walking out of her class as usual, when she saw a rather disturbed familiar figure.

She went closer.

The latter wasn't aware of her presence.

The latter seemed to be mumbling something indecipherable to herself.

'Unnie?'

'What?! God you scared me.'

'I’m sorry? What are you doing, mumbling spells to yourself? Are you joining the Harry Potter Spells Contest or something..?'

'Haha. Very. Funny.'

Tiffany chuckled at Yuri’s sarcasm.

Yuri felt contented to see Tiffany's beautiful smile.

'Unnie? Hello?'

Tiffany waved her arms right in front of the latter.

'Can I.. Erm.. Can I take you somewhere..?'







'Erm.. Ok.. Sure unnie..'

Yuri made sure that Tiffany was secured nicely behind her before she set off to a destination.

Upon reaching, Yuri took out a blindfold and put it on for the latter.

'Why am I wearing this, unnie?'

'You'll see.'

Yuri smiled at the latter getting all anxious and curious.

'Fany ah.. Are you afraid of heights?'

'Err. Not really. Wae?'

'Nothing, we're almost there. We're going into a lift now okay.'
