“Are you really going on that blind date?” She asked.

We were once again sitting in the cafe near our dormitory, a place where we spend most of our time eating and discussing trivial matters in our lives. Our table was located in the corner, far away from the rest. This is the spot where we usually sit every time we come, and the owner especially saved it for us.

“For the 999th time, yes!” I responded with irritation. She has been asking me that question for the past week since she found out about it.

“Why, just because your aunt set it up for you?”

“No.”

“Then what?”

“Because I want to meet new people.” She rolled her eyes at my reason.

“You can meet people here at school. You don’t have to go to some fancy restaurant to meet this guy who may or may not be the type of person you want to meet.” Her voice amplified and I knew many eyes were on us because of that.

“Would you calm down?” I asked then turned around to apologize for being so loud. I turned back to her. “Why are you so against it anyway? I’m just going on a blind date. I’m not about to get married or anything.”

“I…I just…never mind.”

“You what?” I asked, this time even more irritated than before.

“Nothing.” And once again she refused to say it.

“Well, if you don’t have anything to say, I’m going to go get ready.” I stated and stood up from my chair. “I’ll see you when I get back home.” I said before leaving her there at the table.

“Tiffany!”

I turned around.

“Have fun.” She said with a forced smile on her face. I know, she still doesn’t like the idea of me going on this blind date, yet she hasn’t put in much effort to keep me from going.

“You too.” I said and once again headed out the door of the caf?.

“So how do I look?” I asked after coming out of the closet. I was wearing my favorite pink spaghetti strap top with a pair of white short shorts.

“You look awesome.”

“Yeah.”

“Yah, I asked you two to come over to help me pick out my outfit, not for you two to be playing around with each other.” I remarked and rolled my eyes at the two girls on my bed.

“What, we are giving you our inputs, right Jessica?” The taller dark-skinned girl responded.

“Correct. And besides, Tiffany, you’d look great in anything…even in nothing at all.”

I wasn’t surprised that such words came out of . It was Jessica after all. Ever since she started to hang out with Yuri, her comments started to get…a bit more on the dirty side. I barfed at her dirty compliment.

“Gross.”

Once again the two girls started to whisper and make jokes amongst themselves. I would have asked Taeyeon if she wasn’t being all against this date. She’s the perfect person to ask. She would sit on her bed and carefully observe my outfit as well as consider the nature of the occasion before giving me her judgment and recommendations. And somehow, I think she actually likes doing that for me.

“No, this is too casual.” I said after observing myself again. “I should be more formal since he works in a well-known business company.” I went back to my closet.

“How about this?!” I asked and stepped outside once again.

Both Yuri and Jessica looked at me. I could see their eyes moving up and down, viewing me from head to toe.

“Um, sure” was all that Jessica commented. Yuri didn’t even say anything.

“What? I thought you just said I’d look good in anything.” I questioned her and shifted my eyebrow.

“You do. You just look really, really mature right
