Both Yuri and Tiffany slowly made their way to the couch and took a seat by each other’s side, facing one another.

Yuri held onto the soft hands of Tiffany’s.

She looked deep into the orbs and pierced deep into the latter’s emotion. 

Yuri gathered her strength and voiced out the words she has been playing on her mind.




‘Taeyeon looked me up today after practice.’

‘What?!’

‘Wait, listen to what I have to say, okay baby?’ placing her hands on Tiffany’s shoulders.

Tiffany nodded.

She stayed shut, pursing her lips together and waited for words to flow out from Yuri’s mouth. 



‘She …. Told me several things about you….
……things even I, after knowing you for four years don’t know of.’


‘All those that I should take note of, to take care of you.’





‘She told me how terrified you are of storms, how I should never leave your side regardless of what happens.’

‘She told me of your preferences for bananas over blueberries on pancakes.’

‘She warned me not to mess with you when you’re hungry, or you’re going for the kill.’

Yuri chuckled, acknowledging the fact while tapping on Tiffany’s nose.

‘Oh, never take away the things that your attached to, like totoro!’

Yuri can’t help but laugh at her girlfriend’s cute antique. 

She then place her arms over Tiffany’s shoulder bringing them to sit by each other’s side, no longer facing one another.

‘She also mentioned and point out to me how bad and stubborn you can be when it comes to eating up your medicine. And she gave me several pointers to deal with it.’

‘And listen to this. I never knew you sleepwalk. Since when did you start on that huh babe?’

Yuri gave a light squeeze to Tiffany’s shoulder.

‘And you know the last thing that she told me about you.’ 

Yuri tilted her head towards Tiffany, making Tiffany to look up at her.

Yuri took a deep breath and put on a smile.




‘She gave me this.’

Yuri passed on the envelope that Taeyeon had given her earlier.





Tiffany took it and gave it a look.

She was surprised to see the content of the envelope.

‘Why would she give you this large amount of money??’




‘She wanted to make sure that I send you to Harvard and to fulfil your dream, and….’



‘And?’




‘And she’ll break my face if I don’t.’


‘Ouh.’



‘Is that all you can say?’


‘Huh? I’ll make sure she won’t break your face.’

Yuri looked at Tiffany adoringly.


‘That’s not what I’m worried about babe. I’m worried about you……

……are u sure ‘Ouh’ is all you can say?’




‘What else do you want me to say Yul? I’m glad she took on the action, making things easier for us.’ Tiffany said looking down.



Yuri stood up, and went down on her knees facing Tiffany. 

She placed her finger on the latter’s chin and made her look up.

Tiffany’s eyes are threatening to give a downpour. 


‘Baby….’ Yuri slowly placed her hands on Tiffany’s knee. 


‘Now tell me, is that all you can say?’

‘What’s your heart telling you?’




‘Don’t fight it.’

Yuri gave a small smile. 




Tiffany looked up to her girlfriend. 

The dam holding her tears broke.

They leaned in for an embrace.




‘Baby calm down… it’s okay..’ Yuri tried her best at soothing Tiffany.


‘Just tell me what you’re feeling, and what you’re thinking.’

‘And don’t think about what I’ll say about it. This is about you.’





Tiffany took in a deep breath and began forming her sentences in between sobs.




‘I feel lost when she’s not around. I feel so confused. She keeps making me confused. 


When she walks away, I wish I could hold her back. When she falls, I want to be the one to pick her up. When she cries, I want to be there wiping her tears away.’ Tiffany whispered. 





Yuri took in a deep breath and let it out the next second. 




‘What do you feel about me then?’







Tiffany looked up and bore into Yuri’s eyes, searching for the strength to carry on.

And then it came.

A smile and nod from Yuri was all it takes.



‘With you I feel cared for, I feel comfort. I love you, baby.’






Yuri ran her hands through Tiffany’s soft silky hair.






‘Baby… you may love me, but maybe you’re not in love with me.’






Yuri took the latter’s hands placing it over Tiffany’s heart. 

‘Listen to your heart.’


‘Tell me who it’s beating for.’





Tiffany looked up once again. 

She could see how broken Yuri is, and how strong of a front she is trying to portray.

Yuri knew what that look meant. 

As beautiful as she is on the outside, Tiffany is simply too beautiful on the inside. 

She hates to see how broken people can be.
