“Your husband is in the Hospital right?”
Shinhye nods even though she doesn’t know from where he knows.
“Yes sir.”
“Why?”
“He is suffering from blood cancer. Final stage.”
Shinhye answers, thinking that she had no reason to hide it from her employer.
“Oh I’m sorry to hear that.”
“It’s okay sir.”
She answers shortly, gripping on the book that she was holding.
“Are you okay to work?”
“I need this work.”
“Oh that’s not what I meant.”
He said sound a bit sorry.
She shakes her head; smiling.
“We believe that he’ll make it through.”
“I wish I can help.”
“You are helping sir. You gave this job to me.”
Yonghwa walks back to his seat, he leans his back on the chair, staring at her.
“I give this job to you because you look trustable.”
“Thank you sir.”
“So now we’ll start with the important things you must or mustn’t do while working for me.”
“Yes sir.”
“Sit. It will take a while.”
Shinhye did and Yonghwa starts after sorting few documents and puts it in front of her.
“I’m known as a business tycoon but in this field, people kills to have my position. That is why, my profile is a secret.”
Shinhye took a file that he pointed and read it when he asks her to.
She widens her eyes, looking back at him.
“That is when my personal assistant betrays me. I got shot here but I survived.”
He points it on his chest, making Shinhye gasps in horror.
“How can one survive from a bullet on chest?”
She thought.
“I’m lucky, the bullet went through, and not stuck on any important veins.”
Shinhye nods, her face fell, started to sympathize her boss.
“Not all people are born fortunate.”
She thought silently.
“You must be thinking why I still hire you despite being betrayed by my past employee right?”
