Shinhye hugs her body as she waits outside of the room.

The doctor and few staff nurses were checking on him; his pressure suddenly drops.

She was about to answer him when he cough and said that his body was on pain; Shinhye rushes to call the doctor.

She sighs and closes her eyes.

“Hang in there oppa.”

She whispered and opens her eyes when the doctor came out of the room.

“Mrs. Lee, let’s talk for a bit.”

The look on his face is not helping her heart to feel a bit at ease; so Shinhye just follow him quietly.

“He is not fighting with the cancer.”

He started when they were seated in the doctor’s room.

Shinhye clasps her hand together.

“Is he?”

“Dying? Yes if he continues to be unresponsive to our treatment. We thought that it will be good if he knows what he is suffering with. He will try fighting for the sake of his family.”

“But what if he couldn’t take it doctor. I”

“You are the one who knows more about your husband. The time is ticking Mrs. Lee.”

Shinhye leaves the doctor’s room and walks mindlessly to her husband’s room.

“How can I?”

She thought, eyes b with unshed tears.

When she went in, Jonghyun was sleeping.

She heave a sigh of relief; he still can sleep.

Maybe because of the painkiller shot that they gave him earlier.

She sits quietly and stares at him.

Jonghyun had become paler; his pale complexion doesn’t help him from not looking like a sick person.

His body is skinny as well.

His collarbone can be seen; his muscles disappearing.

She cried again; thinking how good looking and healthy he was before this.

“Why? Why it have to be you oppa?”

She whispers while sobbing; caressing his hair.

Even with a soft touch from her, Jonghyun flinch.

“Did I wake you up?”

He doesn’t smile, he nods.

“It hurts a lot.”

His speech comes out as a whimper; makes Shinhye swallows her tears.

“Oppa.”

“Please tell me yeobo. It’s fatal right?”

“No oppa. You can be cure.”

“So please tell me. Tell me truthfully. What is it? You are hiding from me.”

He spoke softly, as if he is whispering to her.

Shinhye touches his hand, trying not to hurt him if she holds it tight.

Jonghyun’s eyes are still on her, pleading her to tell the truth.

Shinhye nods, as if she can read him.

“Oppa.”

She started and he flutters his eyes for her to continue.

“First of all I want to tell you that I got myself a job.”

“Job? Why?”

“We need money to have you treated.”

“What is it that I’m suffering for that you have to work?”
