Six
The Clock's FootstepsWith small gentle , my boredom was shown through in at least five different pages. Reflecting the image in my head and onto paper, I had drawn five different outfits; from elegant ball gowns to comfortable pajamas. Jessi had shown me how she sketches her designs and I had mimicked her for over half an hour. When I was on my sixth design, I heard assistant boss man, James, calling for me with an irritating tone.
“Bobby is looking all over for you! What are you doing?”
James glanced down at my notebook and rolled his eyes in annoyance, “You’re doodling while on the job? Hurry up and get back to work!”
“Yes, sir,” I quickly left for Bobby’s office.
James ran his hand, tracing his jawline and shook his head, “I don’t understand why Mr. Kim would hire her.”
James was just about to leave when glancing at the notebook one more time. Capturing his eye, James picked up the notebook and flipped through the six pages, scribbled with random notes, even though one wasn’t even finished, he stared at them with intensity.
I was walking out of Bobby’s room, getting another random for him when I saw James walking into Bobby’s room with my notebook.
Great. The kiss-up is ready to turn me in, I rolled my eyes and grumbled a set of curses under my breath.
“She’s actually really good,” James spoke as Bobby turned the pages to look at each design carefully. “I think she can work as a designer. Without any related job experience, she’s extremely talented.”
Bobby nodded and smiled. He punched in the number keys from the modern and slick old fashioned office cord phone and called me, “Miss HyunA Kim, I need you in my office again ASAP.”
