I was alone at home as Jay went back to work… lucky him. I was surfing the internet, trying to find new jobs. The feeling of being useless made my skin crawl and I wanted to claw it out. I ruffled my hair that was in a messy bun and shifted myself to cross my legs on the cushioned wooden chair. Pulling Jay’s oversized T-shirt over my bare legs, I hid my tight yoga shorts by making some sort of “tent” over it. Jay always complained and ed about how I kept taking his clothes… it felt like I had a sister living with me; the kind I’ve seen on TV.

            I was chomping down on mac n’ cheese that I threw together in a pan. Strangely, even though I am in extreme need of a job, I liked staying home like this… or at least once in a while. As I was just about to have a calm state of mind, someone started to knock on the door.

            A piece of my heart wished that it was Katherine, wanting to give me my job back. In my mind, I imagined myself just casually walking to the door, like it was no big deal, but from the mirror on the wall showed that I looked like I really had to use the bathroom, trying to quickly relieve myself. my lips once and smoothed out the wrinkled picture of a cartoon sunset on the t-shirt, I “nonchalantly” opened the door.

            When my expectation was flung out the window, I cursed.

            “Why the are you here? Are you stalking me?”

            “If I was stalking you, it wouldn’t have taken me thirty minutes to find you,” Bobby’s voice didn’t match his face. He looked extremely relieved to find me though his voice had automatically growled. “Why are you on the fourth floor? I literally tried every single door before getting to you.”

            “You should’ve just left before you entered the damn building,” I snarled and started to close the door.

            “Wait!” Bobby slipped his body halfway through.

            I should’ve just slammed it anyway… I regretted that I opened the door again.

            “What?!” I could feel my face become red from frustration.

            “Look, I’m sorry you got fired from your job, and I shouldn’t have treated you like a ‘ toy’ at the club. I’ve never been to a club in general before and the guys who were with me that day told me that’s how you guys are. Pretty much saying that the hostesses were high-classed es.”

            “Well thank you for your apology,” I answered, slightly taken back but shook myself back into character. “Now good bye.”

            “Wait!”

            “What do you want now?!” my voice got louder and louder.

            “Let me take you out.”
