“I can’t believe this was your house,” Jay whispered, breathless.

            “Same.”

Jay and I were moving into the Yoon mansion, and you can really say that it’ll take your breath away. The wide and tall four story house had a white and dark stone combination exterior with two staircases at each side, meeting at the middle for the large dark brown double doors. An enormous fountain sat at the middle of the front yard, surrounded by shorter soft pink roses. The entire mansion was very symmetrical, including the points on the rooftops and windows; a person with OCD would be very pleased.

When we walked in, the walls were a light beige lined with pristine realistic white columns painted on. When looking at the living room, you would think we were visiting the royal family’s palace. The ceiling was one story above our heads and hung a large sparkling chandelier. The house looked like it was just something you would find on Google, but never would imagine that you would be standing into one of them. Obviously, the Yoon family didn’t really understand the term modesty.

Jay and I exchanged looks as the hired moving crew started to carry our belongings into our rooms. Jay’s room was right next to mine as requested, and we separated ways for a little bit. I looked around as the moving people was uninstalling old furniture with new ones. The large room looked like it could fit thirty people comfortably, the walls were a pale salmon and I noticed the little decorations that a ten year old girl would have: cute puppy stickers plastered onto the sides, the Barbie dolls lined along the dresser (soon boxed and put away), and the old fashioned CD player bedazzled with light blue and white jewels sitting near the glossy beige desk covered with flower stickers.

I crouched in front of the box filled with old forgotten memories and held up one of the Barbie dolls. Without realizing, my eyes started to blink like a motor. Hazy pictures flew through my mind as I remembered surrounding myself with a dozen dolls and putting on a performance as the CD player was blasting its music into my ears. Mini me was head banging so hard that I banged my head on the floor as I lost my footing and fell.

“I was such an idiot…,” I finally said after blinking myself back, putting the Barbie back.

I unpacked my luggage into the brand new dark vanity dresser that was in place of the older princess one. One of the many house workers then walked into my room, after a timid knock.

“Hello,” the maid bowed. “I am your personal helper, Kelly Han. I am here to help you unpack, Miss.”

“Oh…,” I didn’t know how to react. “Thank you.”

“My pleasure,” Kelly’s eyes lit up as her smile glowed.

Kelly wasn’t extremely beautiful, but I could just tell by gut feeling she was something special. Her dark hair was tightly bound into a small bun, but her baby hairs on the side stuck out; though I could tell that she tried to smooth it down with hairspray. Her similarly dark eyes weren’t big but wasn’t small either; though had amazing lashes. Her skin was light, but lightly tanned. Along her thick hands were scars, but on her shortly trimmed nails was painted with adorable nail art. Looking at her face once more, I noticed she looked a lot younger than I had expected.

“Miss Han, if you don’t mind me asking, how old are you?”

Chapter 27: great story - very engaging plot and you describe Hyuna's thoughts and feelings so well :) I've been enjoying the story unfold and I'm excited to see where you take it. All that aside I must say I am absolutely in love with the Jay/Hyuna side of the love triangle. I appreciated that you were realistic in showing how conflicted Hyuna was but there's something about how Jay has always been there and their relationship was a slow build up and there's so much comfort, safety and unconditional love between them that just hits me right in the feels LOL. I don't know who you plan on pairing Hyuna up with in the end but yeh just had to say how much I'm enjoying that relationship. Keep up the awesome work! Please update soon :)
