“Jongdae you can’t date him!” Baekhyun shouts, standing from his chair. He is lucky Jongdae is the only customer at the moment, or Minseok might have actually fired him.

“Why not?” Jongdae remains seated, starring daggers at his best friend.

“He is too young!”

“No he isn’t. Kyungsoo is dating Jongin and you pretty much schemed with YiFan to push them together, and yet I can’t date him because he is too young.”

“That is different. Kyungsoo is closer in age.”

“By your logic Baekhyun, you can’t date either.

“Why not?”

“He is too tall for you.”

Baekhyun scoffs. “Eleven centimetres is nothing. Besides, that guy is taller than you too.”

Shrugging his shoulders, Jongdae smirks, “Everyone I have dated is taller than me.”

“That’s true. But, you can’t date him.” Sitting back in his chair, Baekhyun’s shoulder slump. “If it turns to , I have to deal with the back lash on this end.”

“Thanks for your vote of confidence in my dating skills.”

“You’re one to talk.”

Jongdae laughs, picking up his coffee and taking a sip, “That is different. I am as supportive as I can be for you. I personally wouldn’t want to run the chance of ruining a solid friendship built up over many years.”

“But that’s why it would be so perfect!”

“But also why it would turn out worse for all of us. I already don’t know what to do when you guys are flirting back and forth in front of me, please don’t make it a real thing… I don’t want to have to watch you guys on a day to day basis.”

“I wouldn’t him in front of you. Maybe a sneaky beneath the table but nothing more than that around you, you’re too erted.”

Luhan, who is sitting across from both of them with his chin resting against his palm, sighs.

“No one wants to see you do anything to Minseok.” Both Jongdae and Baekhyun utter in bored unison.

“I wasn’t thinking about that!” he feigns a pout.

“Like hell you weren’t.” Jongdae comments, sipping at his milkshake. It tasted even better than normal considering Baekhyun paid for it.

“This time I really wasn’t.” Luhan says, sitting up more, “Junmyeon is meant to be seeing Yixing, and I don’t know how I feel about it.”

Baekhyun nods, having been filled in by Minseok earlier.

“I am sure it will be fine, Junmyeon wouldn’t have come back if he didn’t really love every part of Yixing.” Jongdae supplies, knowing a little about the situation from Baekhyun.

Both Luhan and Baekhyun hum in agreeance. There isn’t much they can do anyway because Yixing is doing something outside of work. And both are sure that when he returns later he will have a smile on his face for the first time in months.

Hi all, I am sorry it has been a while again. Job searching has gone down the drain, I am back at uni and I reversed my car into a truck, so life isn't exactly giving me time to write like I want to. But, because my lecture hasn't been released yet and my tutorial isn't til later I wrote this short chapter for you all to read and enjoy until I get on top of everything (I am on top of one subject and the rest are kind of sitting there...) but at this stage - if I work like I should be - I will be able to update within a few weeks. I am not going to make any promises though because my schedule is so weirdly jam packed. 

I am sorry it is so short but I really couldn't think of anything else to write - I have a PLAN but its not in affect yet cause my other plan gets in the way - but we have finally met Jongdae!
