‘Why are you not answering my messages and calls?’

I felt annoyed with her text.

And I felt more irritated because my hands are itching to reply.

It’s been days since I started ignoring her.

I wanted to forget her.

I’ve been stopping myself from replying and answering her calls.

And it’s so hard! Ohhh gosh!

I put my phone down and diverted my attention to work. But a minute hasn’t passed, my phone vibrated again.

“Uugghh.”

But, what’s wrong if I’ll answer her call?

“Promise, I won’t entertain her again after this.”

I took the phone call and,

“H-hello?” I hesitantly answered.

“Dara? Are you avoiding me?”

My heartbeat went fast when I heard her voice.

“N-no! You know, I’m kind of busy these past few days.” I stammered, biting my lower lip.

“Is that so? I thought you’re trying to avoid me. I can’t find any reason for you to do that.” She added.

Can’t find any reason!? You’re a taxi cab driver!

“No, no. Why would I do that?” Oh my gosh!

“Uhm…no. I just got a lot of work. My bosses are quite strict and they, for sure, will be mad if works aren’t done on time.” I heard a voice at the background, laughing.

And worse, that’s a woman’s voice!
