Chapter 25
“Stay close behind me” Sojin whispered, her eyes darting from one demon to another. There was about ten of them in front of the gates that lead to the building of Mrs. Choi. A heavy sigh passed her lips and she bit her lower lip, quickly thinking of a plan.
A low grunt passed her lips as she couldn’t think of anything at all. This whole situation was messed up and she regretted going out like this without giving it any further thought. Sojin’s goal was to come here and live happily Sehun, Baekhyun and Kai, the ones that she loved to no end. But it seemed like she was putting her life on line instead of that.
Sojin was kind of happy to know she’d be able to return to Hendeland with the guys that once ‘died’. Truthfully, she’d do anything to keep her and the boys safe. But here she was, in the dangerous situation that she decided to face.
“Dal and Sora will lure the demons away. Sehun and Jae Wook take care of the guards on the second floor and I head up to her room” Sojin said, turning around to face the other members. “You’re not going there alone” Sehun shook his head, not approving of her decision. He knew that Sojin was strong. But maybe not strong enough against a council member.
“I can’t let anyone take on a bunch of monsters alone. And if we go into this together at one spot, by that time, Choi’ll have time to make her move” Sojin explained. As dangerous and reckless as it sounded, it actually made sense and Sehun could only sigh. “Okay. There’s no time to waste” she said and the others nodded.
Sojin watched as Sora and Dal sneaked to the opposite side and started attacking the demons. Sora wasted no time and attacked any demons that got close to her. It was really scary how calm she always was. She didn’t even seem to blink though the demons was a few inches away. Unlike the others, Sora’s moves were very swift and clean. She knew exactly when and where to attack the demons according to their strength and height.
Dal was like a beast, knocking down demons with a single attack. Dal was quite an intelligent wolf compared to the ones that she had ever seen before. Maybe she was even more intelligent than a person and that was why Sojin trusted him so much.
A small growl was heard and Sojin recogniyed it as the signal for the left members to take the move. Sojin ran as fast as possible with Sehun and Jae Wook hot behind her tail. There were some demons that noticed them running inside to the gates but they couldn’t do anything because Sora was fast to attack them and hold them back before anything.
Sojin didn’t bother to unlock the gates becaushe she had it blown open already. There were a few guards just by the stairs but Sehun and Jae Wook took care of them effortlessly. “Let’s split up now” Sojin gave the two males nods and they nodded back, watching as Sojin dashed up the stairs to the third floor.
Darkness and silence. There didn’t seem to be anyone on the third floor at all. She was so convinced that she was ready to head back to the lower floor until she heard a breath. With a smirk, she walked to the place where she heard it from. She was really glad she had such strong senses. It was very useful and without it, Sojin wouldn’t be able to dodge a kick that came just a few seconds after she entered a dark room.
It reminded her of the time she met her ‘father’ but this was something even scarier. Sojin could sense the person’s presence but sometimes, it’d
