Chapter 10   "Dahee is no longer alive, Sojin" Sora whispered, lowering her head. The look on her face showed guilt. For a moment, she was really sad but her emotionless face soon reappeared.

     "About five months ago...when our class was on a trip. We found her...torn in pieces" Chanyeol stated and Sojin widened her eyes. Such a painful death. She didn't deserve something like that.

     "There wasn't anything we could do..." Chanyeol continued, showing how guilty and disappointed he felt about himself. It was only right because she was their friend. The one that always brought smiles to other's faces.

    "But Jungkook has it the hardest...he was there, when it all happened. He saw her being torn right in front of his eyes. He kept on blaming her death on himself and changed since then" Jiyoung said.

     That explained why Jungkook looked so cold and why he left at the mention of Dahee. If Sojin was in his place, she'd be the same. Maybe she wouldn't even bare it and go insane. But Jungkook was strong. Far stronger than she thought.

      "It's so scary how death is nearing us like this" Chanyeol said and Sojin looked at him with a raised brow. "There's no safe place anymore...wherever we go is hell".

     The room remained silent after that statement. Sojin lost hope for a while before she mentally slapped herself for doing so. Sunmi needs her help. That's why she was back in Hendeland.

     "We'll change this world...it'll be a matter of time" Sojin's words came out more like a whisper that everyone heard. Jiyoung shook her head and said "How could the world go back the way it was when so much bad had happened?"

     "Nights will pass. So will the darkness" This time, it was Jae Wook that spoke. And that was yet another sentence of his that Sojin had to wonder about. But he was right and she believed in his statement.

     "The tests are about to start. We should go" Sehun looked up at the clock on the wall. The others followed his gaze to find it was time for the test to start and they immediately went to the school's fighting hall, where students were already waiting.


     Sojin sat at the upper table that was for the judges along with Jae Wook while Sehun, Kai and Baekhyun stood around the fighting circle to stop any fights at the right time.

     This year's Nitas were very special. It seemed as if they were all strong. Each fight took so long because the Nitas at both sides were equally strong.

     But one thing Sojin noticed was that they still weren't as strong as Sehun, Kai and Baekhyun used to be. The three of them were overpowered and it took each of them barely a minute to finish off their opponent.

     Another thing she noticed, Jungkook made it to the top of the most strongest. She remembered Jungkook being only magically strong but not anymore. He was both physically and magically strong. Sojin was sure he trained very hard.

     And in fact he did. After what happened to Dahee, he didn't stop training at all. He trained half of the day and that was why his powers improved so much in only five short months.

     The most important thing that made him so strong was his will. The will to fight, to beat and to win. Sojin was sure Jungkook really wanted to make it into the guild. He needed revenge and the change of the cruel world. At least Sojin thought it was like that.


     At the very end of the test, the injured Nitas were brought to the infirmary including Chanyeol and Jiyoung. They were injured pretty badly since they fought against each other.
