Chapter 15

 

     "Sojin, hang in there" Jiyoung said as she hurried over Sojin's side. Due to the amount of energy she used out, the girl was slowly giving in. Both Jungkook and Jackson were still conscious because they rested while Sojin was protecting them. And now, it was their turn to help her out.       "You know what, since Jungkook is the strongest here, how about you carry her out of the forest with Jackson?" Chanyeol directed the question to Jungkook. He didn't agree right away, though. "Where are you two going?" He asked, slipping his hand under Sojin's knees and back. He carried her up and looked back at Chanyeol. "Sehun's team is having quite a lot of trouble right now. If we don't make it in time, they might end up badly injured" Jiyoung answered. The boy had almost forgotten about the South team for a while. He forgot that their team was in the most dangerous area of the forest and that it was already night, the time when demons are the strongest.        "Fine. But get the hell out of here as soon as you get them. We can't stay here long" Jackson said, walking out from the gates along with Jungkook. The boy noticed how the girl's body was trembling. She had used most of her energy and needed a lot of rest. Sojin was at the verge of passing out once again but she was trying his best to keep herself conscious.       "Sojin, hang in there" Jungkook whispered as he carried her along the way out with Jackson. That they were leaving the forest didn't mean they were safe. Actually they needed about ten minutes until they'd reach the gate. And the nighttime wasn't the best time to walk around in the forest. There were demons, Jungkook could sense that. Jackson kept his guard up because he knew Jungkook wasn't going to be able to fight with Sojin in his hands.      "Jungkook...on your left" Sojin whispered. Though she had her eyes closed, she could sense the dark magic around them. Somehow, her new powers allowed her to do so. As if Jackson had heard it, his head snapped to the direction, spotting a group of demons hiding behind one of the trees.      "Just go. I'll buy you some time" Jackson said, earning a frown from Jungkook. "Are you serious?" he asked. Jungkook knew how Sojin's safety was a priority at this moment. But he knew all of the members of the guild needed to be safe. And right now, Jackson, Jungkook and Sojin needed to stick together. Jackson might not be able to hold back those thirsty beasts. Not at this time.      "Yes. You won't be able to fight anyways. Go while it's safe" Jackson said, a little annoyed that the younger didn't want to listen to him. "What if you are not safe alone" Jungkook said back, his expression was very serious, Jackson could see that. But that wasn't enough to stop him. He needed Sojin in a safe place at all costs.      "Go, you moron. Don't you believe me?" Jackson titled his head. He was getting very impatient because the longer they stayed, the more demons could sense them. Jungkook wanted to say something back but didn't. Because Sojin was the one to speak out, "Me and Jungkook... are not going without you. We don't actually need... to fight them back. We just need to run out of here... with our shields up" Sojin said weakly in between breaths.       "But you need to get out
