Bubble Bath
SerendipityThe sight of the fairy sitting on the ice and rubbing his would be a rather amusing sight if his shivering limbs didn't look so pityful. It was obvious that this was not a snow fairy, from his tanned skin, chocolate brown eyes and the way his clothes covered his wings to protect them from the cold, everything about him gave it away immediately.
His hands were shaking as he held out the beanie to give it back to its owner and the snow fairy accepted it slowly but after thinking for a moment, he crouched down and placed the beanie on the brown hair of the other.
“What are you doing here? You're not allowed in the winter woods,” the snow fairy said, watching the other with curiousity.
The fairy who was still sitting on the frozen ground opened his mouth but no words were coming out. His body had stiffened the moment he had been talked to and the struggle of searching for a reasonable answer was visible on his face.
Everything on the fairy looked different, starting with his dark but warm orbs, the brown hair that reminded him of chestnuts and the golden tan of his skin. His whole aura seemed to radiate welcoming warmth.
“You're a summer fairy, right?” he tried again, wondering if his assumptions about the other were right.
The other still didn't speak but nodded faintly.
“I'm Youngjae. What's your name?” the snow fairy asked, hoping that the other would actually say something if he introduced himself.
“D-Daehyun,” the other stuttered, his teeth clattering from the cold.
Daehyun's lips were turning a dangerous shade of purple and Youngjae panicked when he saw the sudden change of colour on the other's face and without thinking, he helped picking up the other fairy from the cold ice.
“Come with me,” he muttered, watching out that the other wouldn't slip again. “You can't stay out in the cold.
The journey to Youngjae's house took longer than usual since they couldn't fly but thankfully his house wasn't too far. Daehyun's jaw dropped when he saw the scenery in front of him, dozens of houses made of ice-bricks that sparkled beautifully in the sun rays. A thick blanket of snow covered each of them, the sight was simply breathtaking. He couldn't admire it for too long though since the other tugged on his sleeve, motioning him to keep walking.
They stopped in front of a house and the snow fairy opened the door nonchalantly, pushing the other in quickly and made sure to close the door securely behind them.
Daehyun was immediately pushed into the little bathroom were a silver bathtub was placed in the center of the room. The other fumbled with the tap and immediately, steaming hot water ran into the tub, filling it quickly.
“Get into the bathtub. I'll go and get you some clothes,” Youngjae mumbled and left the summer fairy alone.
Daehyun hesitated for a moment, feeling shy about undressing in another person's house but the numb feeling in his limbs told him that it wasn't the right moment to be picky so he quickly peeled off his clothes and jumped into the water.
He hugged his knees tightly, trying to cover as much of his body as possible and he was thankful when a thick layer of foam covered the dark blue water, he felt thankful that the other was thoughtful enough.
Youngjae came burst into the room again soon after, a large towel and a set of clothes in blue and white tugged between his arm and body. He found a a pile of yellow and brown on the ground and Daehyun playing with the bubbles in the bathtub.
A pink blush immediately spread on his pale cheeks as he took in the sight of the other's tanned back and beautiful golden wings and he covered his eyes with his hand.
“I have to go for dinner or they will ask questions and I will get in trouble, please stay inside the house in the meantime. I will bring some food for you when I'm back,” he stammered as he placed the things he had brought for Daehyun on the counter.
Without any other word uttered, he left and let Daehyun alone with his thoughts.
Daehyun looked around the bathroom, it didn't look very different from his own and to his surprise the inside of the house was rather
