First Laughter
SerendipityFive fairies were standing in the middle of the autumn forest, forming a little circle.
Two of them represented summer, their skin golden and their hair and eyes of a chocolate brown colour. Two pairs of wings stood up proudly, a golden shimmer around the curves that seemed to be radiating with pure sunlight. Clad in a bright yellow and brown, they looked like pure happiness.
Two other pairs of wings, not round but with sharp edges made of crystal ice represented the winter. Pale skin, bright blue eyes and black hair were what made them the opposite of the two golden boys. Everything seemed to be cold around the two boys, even their white and pastel blue clothes reflected coldness. But on the inside, their hearts were bright and warm.
The last boy, his wings not golden and not blue either but of an impressive sparkling red was the resident of the autumn forest. The translucent wings that shone red in the sunlight were not as curled as the summer fairie's wings and not as edgy as the winter fairie's ones. The edges were rippled into beautiful random curves and spikes like leaves of a tree. His light brown hair and amber coloured eyes beamed with a deep warmth.
These five boys could have not been any more different, may it be where they lived or their talents but they had united for the things they shared. And now they were about to cross the border to the spring valley, which may lead them into another adventure on their way across the pixie world.
“Are you ready?” Yongguk asked. The others nodded, some eager and some hesitant but it didn't matter because as soon as they all had stepped over the border, they were greeted with fresh air that smelled like grass and cherry blossoms and all worries were forgotten in an instant.
The earthy and warm colours of brown, red, orange and yellow were replaced by all shades of green, just like the winter woods were covered in white, the spring valley seemed green as far as their eyes could reach.
Yongguk lead the way through the thicket, knowing which way they had to take to avoid the curious eyes of other fairies. Even though it had been only the first time he had met Jongup and Himchan and the second time for the other two, they all seemed to get along easily and he could already feel the strong bond that had already tied them together.
On their way through the green, Yongguk occasionally told them about the flowers and berries that grew there and even the summer fairies were able to help with their knowledge. Youngjae and Himchan were very excited, drinking up every information they were being told. They walked for a while, hidden from other fairies and the trees and bushes became thicker, blocking more and more sunlight.
But as it was getting darker from above, the grass underneath their shoes was starting to become more colourful as snowdrops were sprouting and becoming more and more the further they walked. It looked like sparkling stars in the black night sky.
And then, Yongguk separated the branches of the trees and the most stunning sight they had ever seen got exposed to them. They were standing at the edge of a forest, looking down at a huge canyon, so big that they had to turn their heads to determine the ends of it. In the middle of it was a waterfall but no water was running down the cliff but sparkling green pixie dust, gathering at the bottom in a lake of bright emerald.
The five of them stood there for a while, four of them in awe with their mouths wide open as thei
