--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

While patience wasn’t necessarily a strong suit for Young Jae, it was at least something that Daehyun could bring forth. After sorting through all of the paperwork and waiting for quite a number of hours just waiting for a response, they finally got the okay for Young Jae to go home. Even after the okay though, they had to do a bit more paperwork after that as well as figuring out payments for the hospital bills before Young Jae could actually leave the hospital. The second Young Jae found out that everything was finished, he was practically urging Daehyun to bring them home already.

Once they were back at the apartment complex, Daehyun decided to let Jongup bring Young Jae up while he took care of the babies. Although Jongup was quite uncertain about having to take care of his mother, but he went along with the suggestion with no complaints.

As Jongup began pushing Young Jae towards the apartment building, Jongup was feeling a bit nervous. This was his first time having to push Young Jae in his wheelchair since usually his dad would do it, so he didn’t want to mess up in any sort of way. The walk was quiet for just a few seconds and Jongup would have almost preferred it that way, but Young Jae didn’t exactly had that same idea in mind. “So.. Your art competition is tomorrow, right? Is there a certain dress code that must be followed?” (YJ)

“Dress.. code..? Um..” (JU) Jongup didn’t really recall if there was any sort of dress code that was required to attend the art competition. Of course, even if he didn’t think that there would be any, just the question alone began to make him wonder if it ended up turning out that way. He didn’t want his parents to get into trouble when they attend, but at the same time, he couldn’t exactly just figure it out over the next few minutes. “I don’t think there’s a dress code.” (JU)

“I see..” (YJ) That conversation ended just like that as they went up the ramp that led up to the landing where the main entrance was. Pressing the handicap button, the doors automatically opened before Jongup pushed the wheelchair into the building. As they made their way towards the elevator, Young Jae cleared his throat for a moment as he set his hands on the edge of the arm rests. “So.. I heard from your father that you lost your ity. Care to explain?” (YJ)

Jongup’s hands tightened on the wheelchair handles as his eyes widened. His feet felt like lead, trying to keep him in place as they finally came to a stop in front of the elevators. What was he supposed to say? How was he supposed to explain things? He could run. That was an option, right? Though.. where was he supposed to go if he did that? Taking in a deep breath, Jongup walked up to the elevator button and pressed it before turning to face his mother, whom was still waiting with a rather patient look on his face. “I.. It just happened..?” (JU)

“It just... happened.” (YJ) Jongup didn’t like how Young Jae was acting. He was just simply sitting there, staring down somewhere and repeating what he just said. This was definitely not something that Jongup has known Young Jae for, so it was fairly worrisome. In fact, Jongup was certain that Young Jae was most likely going to do something bad to him. “We are going to have a talk later.” (YJ)

As if on cue, the bell sounded before one of the elevators opened up. Jongup moved Young Jae onto the wheelchair, his body tensing up as he began to dread the possible talk that would occur. What was Young Jae going to do to him? Was he going to hit him with a spatula like before? Or maybe he was going to do what he had done to Zelo just a few hours ago. There was just so many possibilities of what may occur, but Jongup was almost certain that he wasn’t going to live through it. That’s just how scared he was of Young Jae at this very moment. Had it been before he became their son, then Jongup would have definitely retaliated or even ran away, but now he couldn’t do anything. Daehyun and Young Jae were definitely better parents than his birth parents, so he couldn’t just up and leave them. Plus.. he had a better life with them. So, it was probably best to endure the punishment that he would receive.

Once the elevator doors were closed behind them, Jongup turned the wheelchair around so that Young Jae was now facing the elevator doors. Leaning against the wall, Jongup let out a small sigh as he tried his best to prepare himself for the oncoming punishment. He wasn’t even thinking about the talk anymore simply because he wouldn’t be physically hurt by words. Plus, it was Young Jae. He highly doubted that Young Jae would say anything that would mentally hurt him. “Jongup.. I understand that you’re a male and thus, you have certain... feelings that you feel the need to satisfy, so.. originally, I had planned to give you and Zelo a punishment.” (YJ)

Young Jae took in a deep breath before letting out a sigh. Jongup didn’t necessarily understand why Young Jae was acting as calm as he was now, but he would rather take this than be in a headlock at the moment. “However... Taeyeon’s words today have brought some light to me and.. she is correct. I should be seeking an alternative in getting some sense into your head and Zelo’s head, so.. I have chosen not to physically.. punish you for the moment. However... I am now going to judge you two as grown men. I will not treat you or Zelo as children anymore, so.. there will be less rules placed on you two.” (YJ)

Jongup stared down at Young Jae in disbelief as he tried to figure out what was going on in his mother’s head. Was Young Jae really just going to let them go that easily? “There will still be some ground rules placed, though. I haven’t figured out what rules would be adequate, but.. until then, you will follow the current rules. If you are capable of doing that, then.. I may be lenient on the new set of rules. Do you understand?” (YJ)

“Y-Yeah.. I understand.” (JU)

“Good. Now.. focus on your art competition. I want you to do your best without any distractions. Understand?” (YJ) Jongup tried to bite back a smile as he tightened his hold on the bars that were bolted to the elevator walls. Although he didn’t really understand why Young Jae was acting like this, he also couldn’t help but feel happy about it. In a way, maybe it was a good thing that Young Jae had learned about the act that him and Zelo had gone through.

“I understand.. and um... mom?” (JU) Young Jae stayed quiet for a moment, waiting for Jongup to continue with what he wanted to say. When quite a number of seconds ticked by and they finally arrived to their floor, Young Jae finally decided to speak as they began moving.

“Are you going to continue..?” (YJ)

“Oh! Um.. I just wanted to say.. thank you.” (JU) Young Jae smiled a bit, though Jongup couldn’t exactly see it. Of course, Young Jae refused to let his smile be soon too often. Why he had decided on that, well.. he wasn’t certain. Did it matter though? Not entirely. He was just glad that Jongup was happy for the time being.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

“So.. the children are all in bed.. everyone is asleep... So... that leaves just us two.” (YJ) Young Jae had propped his elbow up, his head resting in the palm of his hand as he watched Daehyun changing into his pajama’s. It had been quite a while since he’s seen Daehyun shirtless and, well, it was still quite a sight... not that he was going to be admitting to that any time soon. “How about that reward?” (YJ)

“Hm? Ah.. I forgot about that.” (DH) Daehyun chuckled a bit as he saw Young Jae’s facial expression through the reflection in the vanity mirror. He wasn’t actually serious about forgetting about Young Jae’s reward, of course. He was just playing around with him, though Daehyun did wonder if Young Jae knew that. Judging by Young Jae’s expression though, it was evident that he had yet to do so.

“If you’re trying to be hilarious, it isn’t working and I’m not amused.” (YJ) Daehyun held his smile as he finished changing into his pajama’s. Stretching a bit, he made his way over towards their bed before stopping right by it. He put his hands on his hips, a single brow raised as he smiled and looked down at Young Jae. “Are you going to fulfill your word or are you just going to stand there all night?” (YJ)

“You know.. You’re looking very attractive right now.” (DH) Setting a single knee onto the bed, Daehyun leaned forward as he used his hands to keep himself from completely falling over. He leaned forward and downwards as he came within a few inches from Young Jae’s lips. “It’s very.. tempting.” (DH)

“Oh.. really? Then.. how about you take advantage of such a temptation?” (YJ) A quiet chuckle escaped from Daehyun as he leaned in a little closer. Inch by inch, centimeter by centimeter, Daehyun’s lips were oh so very close to coming into contact with Young Jae’s, at least until Daehyun moved away before getting into bed and throwing the blanket over his body. Young Jae had assumed that Daehyun was going to continue where he had abruptly cut off, but the second he saw Daehyun getting comfortable into bed, Young Jae furrowed his eyebrows as he pushed Daehyun to get his attention. “What are you doing?” (YJ)

“Going to sleep. Why?” (DH)

“What about me?!” (YJ) Daehyun turned his head towards Young Jae before grinning.

“Aren’t you going to sleep too?” (DH) Was he serious? Daehyun was going to go to sleep without even starting what they were about to start?! Well, sure, he didn’t necessarily NEED the intimacy. In fact, he could probably do the same thing to Daehyun and completely ignore the male, but that didn’t mean that they SHOULDN’T do it.  “Come on. You should sleep and get your energy for tomorrow. Only Sooyoung is coming with us tomorrow since Taeyeon has another job to tend to.” (DH)

As Daehyun attempted to put his arm around Young Jae, Young Jae pushed Daehyun’s arm back. Was he serious?! He starts something, then pulls out the ‘you need your energy’ excuse just to back out of it! Young Jae was NOT necessarily happy with how things had turned out and his actions seemed to have displayed it. Moving his arm down, Young Jae to his other side, keeping his back facing Daehyun as he closed his eyes. Here, he had expected Daehyun to attempt to wrap his arm back around him, but after the precious seconds continued to tick by, Young Jae carefully to his back to look at Daehyun.

He could see Daehyun currently had his eyes closed, though only about two seconds had passed before Daehyun had attempted to ‘secretly’ open his left eye. When he saw that Young Jae was still looking his way, Daehyun quickly closed his eye as a smile played on his lips. Young Jae could just swear that he had married a child, but at the same time, Daehyun’s actions were annoyingly cute. No, it was NOT the good cute! It was just an annoying cute that a grown man shouldn’t be able to pull off! “What are you doing..” (YJ)

“Sleeping.” (DH)

“And that attempt to look at me..?” (YJ) Daehyun opened his left eye once more, his smile ever growing as he reached forward and took hold of Young Jae’s hand. Young Jae would have pulled his hand away, but he was rather curious to see where this was going. It’s not like he needed to know what was on Daehyun’s mind or anything. He just wanted to know what kind of excuse Daehyun would come up this time.

“Because I can’t stop looking at you.” (DH) As much as Young Jae wanted to gag over how cheesy and cliche that was, he couldn’t help but also feel a bit, as much as he wanted to never admit to it, happy. Furrowing his eyebrows and looked away, he attempted to bite back the smile that was slowly creeping up on his face in order not to give Daehyun any sort of satisfaction. However, Daehyun could see right through his facade as his smile transformed into a grin. Moving closer towards Young Jae, Daehyun pulled Young Jae into a tight embrace as he leaned in and planted a gentle kiss on Young Jae’s lips. “Don’t worry, Young Jae. We’ll make love soon. Just be patient, already?” (DH)

Young Jae turned his gaze towards Daehyun, whom was still looking at him with those big eyes of his. Well.. they weren’t really big, but being up close like this made them seem rather large. Either way, he let out a small sigh as he nodded a bit before returning Daehyun’s kiss. “Alright.. I will be patient just this one time. You said Halloween, right? When is that?” (YJ)

“Tomorrow.” (DH) So, he only had to wait until tomor- Wait. Tomorrow?! Halloween was tomorrow?! He thought it was sometime next week! Either being in the hospital had thrown off his sense of time or he had just simply been mistaken for whatever reason. Well, it didn’t matter now. If Halloween was tomorrow, then that means he would get his reward then. Of course, most likely, it would have to be after Jongup’s art competition. “You think Jongup will win the competition tomorrow?” (DH)

Young Jae scoffed a few times before a smirk played along his lips. Did Daehyun really have to ask such a question? He should have already known the answer by now! “I know he will. He’s our son after all.” (YJ)

Daehyun briefly laughed as he closed his eyes. If Young Jae had that much confidence in their son, then he didn’t have to worry. Yes, Daehyun was rather nervous for the art competition. This was Jongup’s first time entering one after all, so why shouldn’t he be nervous? Well, they would just have to wait until the competition to see how the results turn out.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Sitting in class, Jongup’s leg nervously shook as he sat there in his costume. Technically, because of religious laws and things like that, students weren’t allowed to wear costumes. Of course, the school wanted to let the students have some sort of fun. With all of the hard work and stuff that they’ve had to go through, it wasn’t necessarily fair to make the rest of the students suffer just because of someone’s religion. If they didn’t believe in that kind of stuff, then they didn’t have to participate. It was just as simple as that. Well, at least, that’s what Zelo constantly said to him. So, the school had come up with a ‘disguise day’, allowing students to wear ‘disguises’ in replacement the usual Halloween costumes.

So, for his disguise, Jongup had dressed up as a snowman. No, no. Not just ANY snowman. Jongup had dressed up specifically as Olaf! Could he help it? The little snowman was adorable and funny and he couldn’t help but dress up as the little guy. Now, he did get a few teasing remarks here and there, but did that phase him at all? Of course not! Jongup was the type whom could stand up strong for something he believed in and Olaf was a character that he definitely believed in. Plus, it was a nice disguise.. in his opinion. No one would believe that a snowman would be up to anything, right?

Still.. he couldn’t entirely be excited over his disguise. He was nervous after all. The art competition was in a matter of hours and although his art piece was already up for display in the gymnasium, he still couldn’t help but worry about whether his piece would be safe where it was. He had quite an attachment to any and all of his drawings, so could he help it? Plus, he also wanted to win. With his parents coming to support him, Jongup wanted to show off in front of them.

“Psst..! Jongup..!” (Z) He would have turned to look at Zelo, but class was currently in session. He couldn’t just take the time and talk to Zelo, though.. he wasn’t even really paying attention to the lesson anyway. Maybe he should be paying attention, but he just couldn’t bring himself to focusing. “PSSST! JONGUP!” (Z)

Why was he getting louder? With how loud he was speaking, that should have caught the teacher’s attention instantly. However, the second he felt a sudden tug on his costume, he quickly turned to look at Zelo, whom pointed upwards and in the opposite direction. Closing his eyes, Jongup took in a deep breath before turning to look where Zelo was pointing. Jongup’s eyes widened as he soon found himself staring up at his teacher, whom didn’t seem to be all that amused that Jongup hadn’t been paying attention. “M-Mister Smith..” (JU)

“Are you too lost in your thoughts to be paying attention to the lesson, Mister Moon?”

“N-No sir..” (JU) Mister Smith narrowed his eyelids a bit as he cleared his throat.

“Then pay more attention to the lesson.” As the teacher walked back up to the board to continue the lesson, Jongup let out a small sigh as he looked back down at his open notebook. His eyes honed in on the picture that he had been drawing at the top as he thought for a moment. Well, since it was just a simple doodle, he didn’t really have to finish it. He did,a fter all, have to take notes on what was being taught.

Well... maybe he could draw just a little bit more.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

“Young Jae! Why are you moving so fast?!” (SY) As much as she wanted to keep up with Young Jae, whom was currently pushing his wheelchair himself, she couldn’t move too fast while pushing the stroller. The faster one moved, the more likely they were to get into an accident and as thrill-seeking as Sooyoung was, she wasn’t about to jeopardize the safety of two one-month old babies! “SLOW DOWN!” (SY)

“We have to hurry! Because of the damn traffic that New York City has to offer, we’re almost late! I don’t want to be late for Jongup’s art competition!” (YJ) Because the doctors couldn’t move up his appointment for physical therapy, Young Jae had to go to his usual time, which was around one in the afternoon. That wouldn’t have been a problem, but by the time he had finished his appointment, it was already traffic out in the city! What was normally a half hour drive from the hospital to the school had turned into a full hour of waiting. He had promised Young Jae that he would show up to his competition and dammit, he is NOT going to show up late! He just simply refused to do such a thing!

FINE! I’LL JUST MEET YOU THERE!” (SY) Sooyoung finally slowed her pace, letting Young Jae rush off on his own. Letting out a huff, Sooyoung moved the hair from her face as she continued at a nice pace. Young Jae should be able to take care of himself, right? Besides, they didn’t park all that far from the school at all. In fact, they were able to get a spot in the school’s parking lot, so they were doing well time wise! Looking down at the stroller, she stopped for a brief moment as she moved to the side and bent over slightly. She looked at the babies, making certain that they were currently doing alright, before she began pushing the stroller towards the school. “Sheesh.. that man. Why do men never care about the safety of others?” (SY)

Okay, so that was just a generalization and she was mostly referring to Young Jae, but she wasn’t about to go back and fix her words. Until Young Jae learned to be a better father, then Sooyoung was going to constantly critique him! Yep. She would just have to become that voice that would constantly nag a person whenever they did something wrong. It seemed like the best way to help guide someone onto the right path, right?

Meanwhile, Young Jae was currently in the school building, looking around in an attempt to find his way. He had only been here a couple of times, but the times he had been here, it had been by the front entrance. Otherwise, he had no idea as to where the gymnasium may be located. It would be rather helpful though, if there was a map of some sort to help aide visitors. If a student could get lost in their own school, then it only made sense to have a map to aide visitors. “Excuse me sir. Are you lost?”

Young Jae looked up to see what he assumed was one of the teachers at this school. Was she pitying him simply because he was in a wheelchair? As much as he wanted to say that he did not require assistance, well... he required assistance. For now, he would just have to assume that she was just trying to be friendly. Why did he have to automatically assume the worst when it came to people just trying to help others? “Yes... Do you know where the gymnasium is? My son said that he is attending the art competition here.” (YJ)

“Okay, well..” The teacher gave the necessary directions, allowing Young Jae the ability to find his way around. As he rolled his wheelchair forward, he looked around every now and then, attempting to avoid the people that actually were out in the hallway. School was over and yet, there seemed to be quite a number of people out and about. It was quite tiresome having to avoid running into people, especially those whom were ignorant enough to think that they owned the place, but he was somehow managing.

“Excuse me! Coming through!” (SY) Although the hallways were at least clear enough for people to pass through without bumping into anyone, Sooyoung still wanted to make certain that no one was going to bump into the babies. Causing the babies to get riled up just because someone bumped into the stroller just wasn’t something that Sooyoung was about to risk. Babies were rather difficult to take care of once they started crying, or at least, it was for Sooyoung. Still, at least she was very capable of taking care of them.

It didn’t take much longer before Sooyoung finally caught up to Young Jae. Walking next to him, Sooyoung looked down at Young Jae as she raised a single brow. Was he going to say anything? Maybe ask about the weather or possibly about how his children were? For all he knew, the babies might not even be in the stroller!

Sadly, no such thing occurred as the two stepped into the gymnasium. Young Jae looked around, but it was far more crowded than he had expected. Besides the students whom had entered the competition and the parents that had come to support them, there were various other students whom had come in to view the art pieces and then, there were also the judges whom were going around ahead of time just to get a brief glance at everything. Even then, he still couldn’t find either Jongup, Daehyun or even Zelo. “Can you see them?” (YJ)

“I’m tall, but I’m not THAT ta- Ah! There they are!” (SY) Sooyoung moved faster, leading the way with Young Jae following behind. It took a bit of maneuvering, but somehow, they managed to make it to the three whom were standing by Jongup’s art piece. Daehyun and Jongup each instantly lit up as they saw the four of them approaching them. Instead of greeting Young Jae like Jongup was planning to do, Daehyun had crouched down to greet his sons.

“Hey there little guys! How are my little men today?” (DH) The one at the bottom portion of the stroller, which happened to be Daeho, instantly focused in on his father before smiling happily and reaching out for him. Grinning, Daehyun reached forward as he wiggled his fingers, one hand for each baby, as he looked up at Young Jae. “Hey, y. How was your therapy?” (DH)

“I’m fairly certain that you already know the answer to that question.” (YJ) Daehyun chuckled a bit as he turned his attention back towards the babies. Since Jaehwa was in the back, he saw less of the gymnasium, so he was paying quite a large amount of attention on Daehyun’s wiggling fingers. As for Daeho, the sounds all around him kept drawing Daeho’s attention, his gaze constantly shifting all over the place, sometimes focusing in on his father’s fingers from time to time.

“Hey.. I think you should come on out.” (DH) As Daehyun took Daeho out of the stroller, Young Jae took the time to examine Jongup’s art entry. Unlike some of the other drawings that he has seen from Jongup’s sketchbook, it was definitely much more realistic while also displaying his creativity. In a way, Young Jae was surprised that Jongup had been able to come up with something like this, but then again, he wasn’t much of an art buff anyway. For all he knew, he could have been completely wrong about his thoughts.

“So Jongup.. Are you ready to win first place?” (YJ) Jongup looked at Young with surprise before nodding nervously. Young Jae smirked a bit as he continued to examine the art piece. Jongup wasn’t necessarily certain if he would be able to win first place, but he was determined to at least impress the judges with his art work.

“Uu~p! We go!” (DH) Young Jae briefly looked up at Daehyun before his eyes widen with horror, his gaze locked in on Daehyun, whom was currently gently throwing their baby into the air. Despite the fact that Daeho was currently giggling, Young Jae was most definitely NOT about to let something happen that would cause Daehyun to drop Daeho.

“Daehyun! Cease your actions this instant! What happens if you drop him?!” (YJ) Daehyun had thrown Daeho into the air just once more before carrying him normally. Looking down at Young Jae, he held his smile as he wiggled a single finger in front of Daeho’s face. This seemed to be enough to catch Daeho’s attention as he held his father’s finger, hitting it every now and then as he let out a small giggle.

“It’s fine. I haven’t dropped them before.” (DH)

“So you’ve done it before?! Do you know how dangerous that is?! Not only could you potentially drop them, but their bones are still developing! I don’t necessarily know everything about the human body, but I’m fairly certain that a baby’s bones are too brittle! You could potentially end up damaging the baby!” (YJ) Daehyun quietly mumbled his apologies as he pulled Daeho closer to him. He didn’t mean any harm from it, but if that’s what occurred, then he would have to stop playing with their children like that.

“Ah.. Jongup Moon! I’d like for you to meet someone.” Jongup turned to see his art teacher with one of the judges right behind him. With a slight bow of his head, the art teacher pulled - not literally - Jongup off to the side as the three spoke for a moment. While Young Jae was curious as to what they were doing, Daehyun had ended up taking Jaehwa out of the stroller as well since he felt bad about giving Daeho so much attention.

“Don’t worry, Jaehwa! I love you just as much as Daeho.” (DH) Daehyun leaned in a little as he raised Jaehwa enough before rubbing his nose against Jaehwa’s. Jaehwa let out a small giggle as he reached up and touched his father’s face before hitting it a few times. Daehyun let out a small laugh before pulling away and crouching down as carefully as possible. He was about to set the two on the ground, but the second he felt a hand slap his head, Daehyun quickly set the babies back into the stroller before rubbing where he had been hit. He looked at Young Jae, whom had his eyebrows furrowed at the moment. “What was that for?” (DH)

“I know you were about to place them on the ground. Do you not realize how dirty the ground is? They can’t even sit up on their own yet and you want to lay them on the ground?” (YJ) Daehyun let out a small sigh as he looked back at the two babies. Well, he really should have been thinking about that. Daehyun already knew that babies were more prone to becoming sick, so he should have been more careful about where he placed them.

“Sorry, sorry. I’ll be more careful.” (DH) Looking back up at Young Jae, Daehyun smiled a bit as he reached up and took hold of Young Jae’s hands. Young Jae was rather tempted to pull his hands away, but that damn smile that Daehyun had just made things rather difficult. “Will you forgive me?” (DH)

“.. Fine.” (YJ) Young Jae was at least glad that Daehyun saw the error in his ways. It was definitely a good thing, so he would just have to continue watching over Daehyun. Though.. a simple thought crossed his mind. “How was work?” (YJ)

“You know.. the usual. It’s been slow, thankfully, so me and my team have been doing nothing but paperwork. Still, it’s better than having to investigate more crime scenes.” (DH) Daehyun knew that if he had stayed as police officer, things would still be rather busy. He may not have been working as long as Yongguk, but he definitely did his job fairly well. That was probably why he didn’t get stuck doing small jobs like traffic control and what not as often as other officers. Plus, the pay was pretty decent. Since he had gone to school for things related to this type of job, the pay he received was normally around seventy-thousand a year, which was a little under how much Young Jae usually made.

“What was it like being a police officer? Was it exciting?” (SY) By now, both Sooyoung and Zelo had crouched down in order to join in on the conversation. They had known about Daehyun’s previous job and both of them were quite interested in the sort of tales that he may currently have. After all, being a police officer in New York City normally did end up leading to quite an eventful life.

“Ah..! Being a police officer was great. I felt like I was truly helping New York City change for the better, even if it was a little at a time.” (DH) Daehyun smiled warmly as his thoughts went back to his days as a police officer. It made him feel complete in a way, but there was nothing else he could do about it. “But.. those days are behind me. I have a family to take care of.” (DH)

Young Jae couldn’t help but feel rather bad about how things turned out, but at the same time, it was for the best. With how events played out before he had reversed time, Young Jae was not about to lose Daehyun again. “So.. Can you tell us some stories? I really wanna know some exciting stuff!” (Z)

Daehyun chuckled a bit as he thought on it for a moment. Well, he didn’t really have to think about Zelo’s question really. Daehyun quite enjoyed telling stories if people were interested in hearing it, but at the moment, maybe it wasn’t exactly the best time to be telling it. After all, at this very moment, it was supposed to be Jongup’s day! He didn’t want to take that away from Jongup. “Maybe later. Today is Jongup’s day to shine!” (DH)

Just as he said that, Jongup slowly walked back up to them, lost in a daze. The second he came to a stop in front of them, everyone instantly looked up at him. As often as he had seen Jongup lost in his thoughts, Young Jae didn’t necessarily recall a time where he has seen Jongup so dazed like this. “What’s wrong?” (YJ)

“Wrong? Wha-..? Oh.” (JU) Jongup finally pulled himself from his thoughts as he looked down at his friends and family. The excitement suddenly began to rush through him as he crouched down, hopping in place as he flapped his arms a bit. “Oh! Oh! Oh! Guess what?! The um.. The guy that my art teacher brought over is a talent scout from the school of visual arts! They said that they see potential in me and, um, they want me to attend.” (JU)

“Wow! Really?! Do you wanna go there?” (DH) Jongup paused for a moment before thinking. He didn’t really know whether or not he wanted to go. Actually, he didn’t even know what school he wanted to go to yet nor what degree he wanted to pursue. In fact, he hadn’t even thought about going to college. He kind of wanted to become an anime artist, but.. art was still fun to do, so maybe that would be a good path to follow.

“Mm.. I can go there, I think. They said that if I attend, they would give me a scholarship to help with the payment.” (JU)

“Wow! That means I can get paid more, right?” (SY) Sooyoung looked at Young Jae, whom looked at her with a raised brow. The longer they stared at one another, the more Sooyoung ended up getting her answer. Letting out a small sigh, Sooyoung turned to look at the babies when one of them began making sounds in an attempt to get their attention. “It was worth a try! Don’t stare at me anymore, Young Jae!” (SY)

As Sooyoung picked Jaehwa up to feed him, Young Jae turned his attention back towards Jongup. Since Jongup had managed to leave before he could see him, Young Jae didn’t have the chance to see Jongup’s costume. Now, though he was wondering why his son had a fascination over being a snowman. “What’s your costume supposed to be? Are you a specific character from something?” (YJ)

“Olaf!” (JU) Jongup seemed to have instantly brightened at the mention of his costume. Young Jae didn’t necessarily understand the fascination with such a character, but then again, it was Jongup. Once he took interest in something, which was quite a number of fascinations, then he really went full out to show his support for whatever it may be. “He’s the greatest snowman ever! We went to watch Frozen before and he was in it, remember?” (JU)

“Right...” (YJ) In all honesty, Young Jae couldn’t remember what Frozen had even been about, but he wasn’t about to say that. For all he knew, Jongup could end up giving a possible four hour explanation of the movie, going into complete detail of every little thing that the movie had to offer. As much as he liked that part of Jongup since that part of him comes from Young Jae, Young Jae didn’t exactly want to sit there listening to an explanation about a movie he didn’t much care for. Now if Jongup wanted to talk about other movies that had more complex story line, then Young Jae may not mind listening to that. “Anyway... When does the judging start?” (YJ)

“Judging? Um.. I think in about ten minutes.” (JU) Well, that shouldn’t be too bad. That would allow for a bit more talking amongst one another. Plus, at least it would give Young Jae the chance to examine Jongup’s art piece a bit longer. He hadn’t seen Jongup working on this back at home, so it was still a relatively pleasant surprise to see something like this.

[[ My Own Thoughts:

I quite like this chapter.. I think. xD
Thanks to Taeyeon’s words in the previous chapter,
Jongup and Zelo have been able to escape punishment >3<..
Of course.. technically, Zelo already had his punishment.
But that’s because he decided to ask about certain.. positions. xD
Anywho ~ It’s still a nice chapter. x3
Not much happened, but at least DaeJae finally have a calm enough life. x3

As for the Halloween chapter
(Although this has some Halloween aspects to it)
It will be the next chapter. x3

Comments are loved >3<..
I love to see what everyone thinks of the fanfic thus far,
Plus it’s nice talking with everyone. x3 ]]

Chapter 35: I love this story so much! I waited with Reading cause I was reading another fanfic, but I shouldn't have waited... It's too good!!! I love the way you write, you put details in the story, but not too many, and because of that it's easy to read even when there are difficult words. Also, are you able to write everything in such a way that the reader can interpret fairly well whose thoughts it are. For example Youngjaes, where you use difficult words and show stubborness very well, and with Daehyun you get an easygoing mindset. It's totally awesome!! Love it!!!
