Months more passed, and I wasn’t able to got into top. I was always second, I always lose on him no matter how hard I try I always come second. It made me so depressed and murder him on my mind a hundred of times. I hate losing because I never felt this way before.
And the deal faded away just like that, he kept messing with my life, he kept pissing me off, and there was nothing I can do about it because deal is a deal, he will only leave me if I won.
“Give up.” He said.
“Not gonna happen.” I said as I scribbled the pages of the book.
Tomorrow is Midterm exams, so I should really work hard.
“You’re bothering me, so please excuse your face here.”
“Not gonna happen.” He mimicked what I’ve said.
“Why don’t you just study instead of pissing me off?!” my hands turning into fists.
“If I study, its harder for you to beat me.” He smirked.
“Arrogant jerk.” I stood up and walked away pissed, bringing all my things with me.
I studied on my desk in our classroom for hours that I didn’t even noticed it’s already dark outside. Maybe I should go, Its hard to walk home this late.
I stood up and placed all my things on my bag. I exited the room but suddenly everything became dark.
The lights went out and I can’t see anything.
There was a black out. .
“Hello? Is there anyone there?” I called but I only heard my voice echoing in the corridor.
My knees start to tremble and my eyes started to get blurry.
If I have one fear in my life, It’s the dark.
I sat down at the ground and closed my eyes, tears started to gush down my cheeks. All those years, I finally cried and got scared.
Suddenly, sound of footsteps appeared.
“Please help me-e.” I cried. My voice cracking as I cry.
The footsteps was gone.
A ray of light beamed on my face and I thought the lights were back when I saw someone pointing a flash light on my face.
“Are you okay?” He asked.
He lend me a hand and I stood up.
I recognized the face, “Kim Myungsoo?!”
“Why are you here?!” I asked in shock.
“I should be the one asking you that.” He said.
“I was studying and the lights went off.”
“Are you crying?”
I looked away quickly. “No, I’m not!”
He tried to look at my face but I just evaded his stare. “Stop it.”
The next day, I was able to answer all the questions with confidence but something still bothered me. I was saved by that Jerk last night, so he has a heart, and I never thought it was possible that I’ll thank him for his kindness.
After the exam, I headed straight to the cafeteria.
“Hi Hayoung.” I greeted.
“Hi Jinee-ah!” a gleeful Hayoung greeted back. I sat on the chair in front of her.
“Is there something bothering you?” her eyebrows twitched.
“Uhm, Hayoung, what can you give to someone who help
