Chapter 12: Curiosity ♕

“Ahhh I’m tired~” I whined as I stretched my arms up high. I closed the book in front of me and closed my eyes for a while.. Just a bit.

Is there an earthquake? Why is it shaking.

“Wake up, Its already closing time.” Someone spoke.

My eyes popped open in surprise and the librarian was in front of me. Oh crap.

“I’m sorry. I fell asleep.” I apologized. She nodded and I stood up from the chair and brought back the books I borrowed, I bowed at her before storming off the library.  

I walked outside and made my way home, I noticed the breeze is becoming more cold than it was. Winter is coming.

I was half-way home when I saw a girl and boy on the other side of the road walking towards my direction. I couldn’t see them clearly but when they came nearer, I was surprised wehen I recognized their faces.

 I quickly hide behind the tree closest to me.

They were chatting and laughing and It was impossible for me to hear what they’re talking about. It made me really curious. Why are they even together?

My gaze was focused to them as they passed by. It would be mean if I followed them right? I decided to continue walking home and don’t care about it, I left my hiding place while my eyes were still fixated on them when I bumped into a hard thing.

“Ow!” we both groaned.

“Luhan?” “Jinee?” Both us are surprised.

“What are you doing here?” We asked in unison.

“You first.” I said.

“No, you go first.” He replied.

We both chuckled. “I’m walking my way home, now your turn.”

“I’m just walking around.” He said. My brows creased. “Really? At this time?”

“Haha, I’m going to buy in the market.”

 “Oh, I see. Okay then, I’m going.” I bowed at him before leaving.

“Wait! Are you hiding from someone earlier?” he stopped me.

“Me? Hiding?” I pointed at myself innocently.

“Yes. I saw you.” He placed his arms on his chest. Fine you win.

“Oh that, I saw Hayoung and Myungsoo walking together and I was just curious, that’s all.”

“Oh, those two.” He muttered. Those two? What?

He might noticed my face changed in confusion. He  chuckled.

“You really don’t know anything?” he asked.

I shook my head. Can he just spit it out.

“The three of us are childhood friends, but I was far away all this time so only the two of them grew together and that’s why they’re really close.” Luhan stated.

But… Hayoung never told me anything, and I never saw her with myungsoo or did she talked about him when we’re at school. I have no idea.
