Chapter 21: Christmas ♕

I sat there, alone, jingle bell song playing somewhere not far from my spot. 

The snow stopped, and after almost an hour thinking, regretting my mistakes, I realized something. 

That all this time, the only friend I had was him. Kim myungsoo, who became the most annoying jerk in my existence. That day, when that tragic thing happened to me, I got mad at him, I pushed him away, I despised every bit of him, thinking that its his fault when he really did nothing, and that it was me. Me who's a jerk to him. 

I was too busy looking at his faults and flaws, that I forgot who he really is. 

He's a guy who needs attention that he never got from his family.  A guy who can't express his feelings or emotions the way he wants to because he's afraid. 

I wiped the tear forming at the edges of my eyes. "Jinee, what are you thinking?" 

I checked the time, 11:57.. Three more minutes before Christmas. 

The snow poured again, but in a soft way, like it smoothly touches my face.

"Appa, Eomma." I called as I looked up in the sky. "Merry Christmas." 

"I wished you were here.. I wished I can celebrate christmas with you. I wished I know what christmas is really all about. " 

I started to walk away from my place. 

I heard a cough. 

It startled me a bit, but one thing came to my mind. I quickly turned my head back.

My heart skipped a bit. "Myungsoo?" 

 He pulled down his hood revealing his pale face and redish colored lips. I wanted to cry, but my heart was in total bliss. He just stood few steps far from me,  I didn't care how, or why is he still there, because all that mattered was he's there, he's still there.

"I thought you left." I said. 

"I thought you'll never come." He replied. 

"Merry Christmas." He greeted. I checked the time as I opened my phone. 

12:02 AM 

Two minutes. 

"Merry Christmas." I greeted back as my lips curved up into a smile. 

He stepped closer to me as he grabbed my arm, "We're missing the idea why I invited you here." He said as he quickly dragged me with him. 

I don't know why but I can hear my heart pumping madly on my chest.
