Jihyo and Gary were spending the night over at her parents’ house. They had just gotten back from their respective events. Because they were waiting for Jihyo’s dad to come back for their late supper, Jihyo took the time to rest. She went inside her bedroom with Gary. She fell asleep almost instantly, her face buried on the side of his body. His right arm embraced her, while his left held his phone. It rang when Sukjin called, he had been calling Jihyo a couple of times but she didn’t answer, so Sukjin called him instead.

“Gary-ya, is Jihyo with you?” He asked right away.

“She’s asleep, hyung.” He said looking at her and with his right hand, he drew circles on her cheek, messing around with her. He chuckled as she stirred. “Do you want me to wake her up?” He asked again.

“No, that’s fine.” Sukjin told him. “I was just going to ask if Hyunwoo’s present was still in her suitcase because I can’t find it here.” He said.

“Oh, the food and shirt?” Gary asked in returned. Sukjin seemed to answered. “It’s in our house, hyung. But we’re at her parents’ house right now. I can just bring it tomorrow.” Gary suggested and Sukjin agreed. But when their conversation about it finished, the two kept talking. Laughing while Sukjin told Gary about what happened in Taiwan, he was blushing too.

“Oppa…” Jihyo whined at the noise Gary was making. Gary laughed at her instead and wrapped his right hand around her fully. She opened her eyes, looked at him, and closed her eyes again. He put his phone on her ear and she murmured in reply to Sukjin. “Oppa, I’ll hang up.” She said and ended the call. Gary laughed at her, still half-asleep. Her mother opened the door carefully, afraid that she was going to wake one of them up, only to discover that the two were awake. Unaware of her mother’s presence, the two kept lying around lazily.

“Are you ignoring me and going back to sleep?” Gary laughed at her. She nodded in her sleep and he smiled, brushing the hair on her face off. He kissed her forehead and pulled away. She entangled her arms around his neck.

“Stay…” She told him. He chuckled, but did what she said. He stayed there, looking at her, and she opened her eyes. “Saranghae, oppa.” She said, getting lost in his gaze. Sincerely, he smiled at her, his gaze filled with compassion.

“Nado saranghae.” He told her and leaned in for a kiss. From the door, her mother could see her smile the happiest and sincere smile she flashed. Respecting their privacy, her mother carefully closed the door again and waited outside. Jihyo’s father arrived home.

“Why are you here alone and smiling?” He asked his wife. She looked at him and flashed her motherly look. He knew immediately that it was about one of their kids.

“I think your eldest daughter has found the one.” She said, content. He pretended not to hear her. He set down his bag, opened his coat, and sat. After a moment of awkwardness, he stood up and got himself a glass of water, still thinking of Jihyo. He knew if there was a man he could trust her with, it would be Gary. But she was just his baby. How did she grow up so fast? How was it that she is ready to have her own family? He suddenly cleared his throat, ignoring his thoughts and set down his drink.

“Is she in her room with him?” He finally asked. Her mom nodded and he nodded in return. “Are they asleep?” He asked again. Her mom shook her head and chuckled at her husband’s awkwardness. “Is she asleep?” He asked.

“She was awake, but she was sleepy. Knowing her, she’s probably asleep by now.” She said. Her husband nodded. Just then, their 2 younger kids ran down the stairs like childish kids. Their eyes shifted towards them.

“Ya, ya, ya!” Their father said. The two laughed at their father’s response. “Why are you running around like that? You’re both grown ups.” He said. The two ran down and sat on the sofa, Jihyo’s sister landing on top of her brother, hitting him for beating her.

“You’re back.” They both said to their father, ignoring his comment. He nodded at them, looking confused. “Let’s have dinner then, what are we waiting for?” They asked their parents.

“Your sister’s still asleep.” Their mother said. Immediately, the two looked at each other and flashed a cheeky smile.

“The one to wake her up wins!” Her brother suggested. Her sister smirked back, and without saying anything, ran towards their sister’s room. “You’re cheating!” Her brother chased after her. Their mother just laughed and their father shook his head. But they were happy to see their kids getting along well, especially since Jihyo’s siblings got along very well with Gary too. Once they reached Jihyo’s bedroom door, they didn’t even hesitate. They opened the door and ran inside, plunging themselves onto the bed. Gary and Jihyo who were talking to each other with her leaning on his side were surprised by the sudden pang.

“Omo… What’s going on?” Gary asked, confused.

“Ya! What’s wrong with the two of you?” Jihyo yelled at the two, surprised. They laughed at their sister’s reaction. “Is appa back yet?” She asked again. The two nodded. Instead of inviting their sister and brother-in-law to dinner, though, the two just sat on the bed next to them and the TV.

“Eo! Noona’s here!” Her brother said as they stumbled upon Running Man. He saw his sister biting Kwangsoo. They just laughed and continue changing the channels and stopped at a movie that was playing.

“Hyungbo, why did you want to date eonni?” Her sister asked. Gary was surprised by the question, but the three pairs of eyes were looking into his, curious for an answer.
