The Last Time

Children Of The Wild Ones

Find myself at your door,
Just like all those times before,
I'm not sure how I got there,
All roads they lead me here

Soojung glances at her watch for the umpteenth time. Suzy was already half an hour late and the night was beginning to get a lot cooler than what she had dressed for. Wrapping her jacket tightly around her body, Soojung fishes for her phone. She calls for Suzy and like the four times before that it goes straight to voice message.

Soojung curses under her breath, after all she was here because Suzy had begged for her to meet her here. The hill at the park that overlooks the city. Further out here, Soojung could see how the city lit up against the night sky. It was quiet out here, and Soojung had learned to appreciate the silence, and being alone. She glances at her watch one last time and another ten minutes had gone by as she was deep in thought. She stands up and decides that she wouldn’t wait around any longer for someone who wasn’t going to show. She picks up her bag and takes two steps before a familiar voice pulls her back in.

“Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you, happy birthday dear Soojungie…” Soojung peers through the dimness to the candles on the birthday cake and makes out the hazy figure coming into view. “Happy birthday to you.” Suzy finishes, flashes Soojung one of her cheeky smiles and holds out the cake towards her. “What?” she asks innocently after not receiving the response she was expecting.

Soojung looks at her, eyes narrowed without saying a word. “You’re late.” Suzy could tell that Soojung was annoyed, her lips were pursed, arms crossed and feet tapping impatiently. But Suzy doesn’t let it deter her.

“I’m sorry, I was stuck in traffic. But you should blow out the candles though before the wax gets all over your favourite cake and the wind steals your wish.”

Soojung looks down at the spots of wax over the words ‘Happy Birthday Soojung’. She glances at Suzy, same old magnificent smile that’s captured a nation it would seem, the ones where it reaches her eyes because that’s how Soojung know she’s really happy. Soojung closes her eyes, takes a deep breath and blows it out in one go.

“Did you make a wish?” Suzy asks as she places the cake down on the bench and fishes out two forks from her pocket.

Suzy plucks out all the candles and scoops a spoonful of cake to feed Soojung first. She beams as she has the first bite but Suzy knows that she’s far from forgiven and it’s alright for now. Every year without fail they have the same cake for her birthday, only ever on her birthday. “It’s still just as good.”

Suzy takes the next bite and agrees. There’s a silence that fills the space between them, Soojung waiting for an answer that Suzy’s struggling to give.

“For a second there I thought you’d forgotten.”

“I could never,” Suzy protests.

Two weeks earlier

The view of the Han River was beautiful at night. The streetlights from afar looked like stars against the dark sky. It’s even quieter that it’s two in the morning. There’s a few couples loitering about but not enough for them to pay attention to Soojung. She places the bottle of soju down beside her and she fishes out her phone from her pocket.

She stares at her screen for a moment, staring as the clock ticked away in front of her when she receives a notification on her phone.

Soojung dials for her number, and maybe she’s a little drunk but she doesn’t care. “Hello?” Suzy’s voice is soft and tired. She must’ve been sleeping.

“I’ve been thinking,” Soojung says, hesitation in her voice, “So much has changed since I’ve been away in France for the past few months.”

“What do you mean?” Suzy mumbles, her eyes still closed shut whilst the phone rested on her cheek.

“You’ve got a sister now and she’s sweet, lovely and very pretty. Jongin’s got a new girlfriend and she’s good for him. Sehun’s changed too, he doesn’t mess around as much, he’s so grown up that it’s weird and maybe it’s because he’s changing for your sister…”

“Jung…” Suzy interrupts her train of thoughts.

“Before Joohyun came along it was you and me.”

Soojung was there for it all. First crushes, first kisses, first boyfriends. Although she was just as inexperienced as Suzy was, it was the fact that they went through it together that made them bond so much. Soojung was there for Suzy during the darkest times of her life and Suzy’s was in hers. If it wasn’t for their genetic makeup Soojung and Suzy were sisters.

But that’s not how the world works and as much as Soojung hated herself for it, she didn’t like Joohyun all too much. She couldn’t believe she was replaced with someone of lower class, of lesser talent, skill and beauty. But of course she could because Soojung knew that she was lying to herself. Joohyun was anything but less.

“It’s still you and me, Soojung,” Suzy reassures her.

“Then why doesn’t it feel like it? Why does it feel like you’d rather be spending weekends shopping with your sister, having dinner with your sister being anywhere with your sister but here.”

“You’re getting worked up over nothing.”

“Am I?”

“Jung, we went through hell together. Yes Joohyun is my sister, but you’re just as much. Who else could’ve saved me from going on my dreaded date with Shin Wonho? Who else could’ve helped me with getting out of detention if not you? Jung you brought me back to life. You literally saved my life and I’m forever in debt to you.”

Soojung could feel herself giving in to the tears that were threatening to fall. She blinked her eyes and they fell endlessly. Trust Bae Suzy to make her feel worse than she already did.

“I miss my mum, Suzy…”

“Jung, where are you?” Suzy is more alert now, “Do you want me to pick you up? I’m coming to pick you up – tell me where you are?”

“No, I’m fine…” Soojung wipes away her tears and downs the last of the soju. She tosses the phone aside and Suzy’s distant murmurs slowly fade into the background as Soojung pulls her knees closer to her chest to keep herself warm.

There’s never any leftover, that’s always been the rule, except Soojung stares at the cake, struggling to finish it and Suzy’s mind begins to wander. Was she falling back into her old habits? After all she had been under so much stress in the past few months and the phone call cemented the idea in her head. Maybe Soojung had physically returned but there was always a part of her left in France – at least with her mother.

“Hey, so we’re going somewhere tonight for your birthday.” Suzy stabs her fork into the cake, and fishes out their passports from her back pocket. “We’re leave tonight when you’re ready.”

“What?”

“Sehun asked his dad for his jet. He’s still feeling guilty about the way he treated his mother after Sehun decided to see his biological mother. So Sehun’s using it to his advantage.”

“Suzy…” Soojung isn’t sure what to say so as Suzy does, she makes up for it.

“I mean what’s the point of having rich parents if there aren’t benefits?” Suzy grins.

“I haven’t packed…”

“I already did for you! All the essentials you’ll need.”

“Who’s going?” Soojung hesitates to ask although she can already assume.

“Well, the usual suspects, you, yours truly, Tweedle-dee and Tweedle-dum, Hyeri, Jinri and some other people.”

“Other people like?”

Other people like Joohyun was what Soojung was more concerned about. It wasn’t as if she disliked the older girl but she had barely spent any time with her and before she knew it two of her closest friends adore her so much already

“Gosh Jung, won’t be fun if I told you everything.”

“You’ve literally told me nothing.” Soojung protests the notion yet still she gives in, “So when do we leave?”

“Now,” Suzy beams.

They arrive on the tarmac with their luggage as the pilot leads them onboard. “Happy Birthday!” they all shout in unison. Soojung laughs, happy to see all of her friends gathered in one place.

“We were wondering when you’d get here,” Jongin says as he embraces her warmly. “Happy Birthday!”

Soojung is taken by the moment and wraps her arms around him comfortably as well. It felt good to be with her friends again and the fact that Jongin and her were beginning to forge on with their friendship despite their history was a relief to her.

“Taemin oppa?” Soojung her head to the side, a smirk fell on Taemin’s lips as he walked up to greet her with a warm embrace. Taemin was one of Jongin’s more famous family friends who used to hang around them when they were younger once every few summers and whilst Soojung’s had her fair share of crushes, Taemin was always the bigger brother she never had.

“Long time no see squirt. Happy birthday.”

“You’re not that much older than me,” she protests as she hits his arm lightly. “Taking a break from your world tour to visit us simpletons.”

“Don’t belittle me Soojung, I don’t hang around simpletons. It’s the drama in your lives that keeps me going.”

Soojung rolls her eyes and slaps his arm playfully, “I hope you’re ready for this weekend then, wherever we go a scandal is bound to appear.” Soojung smirks, “Your publicist knows right?”

Taemin laughs and nods his head.

“Alright ladies and gentlemen, please take a seat and buckle yourselves in as we prepare for take-off.” That pilot’s voice comes over the intercom.

Soojung makes her way slowly down the aisle, looking for an empty seat, hopefully near the one person she had yet to see. She notices him leaning over and staring out the window. She quickens her pace towards him and comes to a halt when she notices the smaller girl sitting beside him. “Joohyun unnie…” Soojung’s voice trails off.

“Oh! Happy Birthday Soojung!” Joohyun chirps.

“Unnie?” Suzy shouts as she shuffles past Soojung and into the seat across from Joohyun. Soojung takes the aisle seat and buckles herself in silently. “What are you doing here?”

“I asked her to come,” Sehun interjects.

“Is that what you call asking?” Joohyun teases. “It was more of a pack your bags, we’re late situation and I naively trusted him.”

Suzy nods her head, observing the way Sehun suddenly seemed nervous and kept avoiding eye contact with her and how Soojung beside her was digging her nails into the expensive leather seats. The plane engine roared to life as the plane picked up speed and slowly took off.

Suzy holds her breath for what feels like the entire plane ride.

Joohyun wanders around the villa in awe and amazement. Her fingers traced the walls as she walked around. She climbs the stairs up into the top level and finds herself on the balcony, the view of the beach, white sands and clear blue waters. Joohyun takes in a deep breath and closes her eyes.

“What a view,” Sehun says, walking up slowly and Joohyun turns around, long hair caught up in the wind.

“Isn’t it!” she turns back and tilts her head backwards as the wind envelopes itself around her and picks up her loose strands of hair.

“I meant you,” he says and Joohyun blushes trying to suppress a manic laugh.

“Don’t be like that…” she says playfully. She glares at him and pushes him sideways, “Thanks, Sehun,” she says bashfully whilst she looks down at the beach where she noticed people were making their way down with picnic blankets and baskets filled with food and wine.

“I fought really hard for this room,” Sehun brags, “For you.”

Joohyun smirks and crosses her arm, “And where will you be staying?”

Sehun he smiles warmly at her in response, “Right across the hallway from you. Just in case you needed me.”

“You should go with your friends, they’ll be looking for you…”

“And what would you be doing?”

Joohyun shrugs her shoulders “Sleeping, maybe, relaxing…”

He raises and eyebrow, “There’s a jacuzzi,” he suggests and Joohyun shoots up.

“A jacuzzi sounds perfect.”

“It’s on the rooftop, you should go enjoy it whilst everyone else is out.”

“You’re not offering to join me?” Joohyun asks and immediately Sehun feels his cheeks flush red. “That’s a first.”

“Don’t get me wrong,” Sehun interjects immediately.

Sehun slowly walks towards Joohyun who keeps him an arms distance from her. “I think I’ll be fine by myself. I’m not going to keep you from your friends.” Joohyun slowly pulls her hand back towards her as Sehun leans in closer.

“If your only reservations is my friends missing me, I can promise you it won’t be an issue.” Sehun teases.

Joohyun looks up at him, and catches him glancing at her lips. “Soojung will miss you,” she offers him a halfhearted smile and silence which he understands not to push any further. They had been skirting around for months now and despite the media’s coverage of their relationship there was anything but a blossoming romance.

So whilst Sehun wanted to be with her, he had his own reservations. The last time he allowed himself to fall he hurt himself. He wasn’t going to do what he did with Taeyeon, not to Joohyun. He wanted to give her space and time. Apparently Joohyun had her reservations as well.

Sehun hears a giggle from around the corner and a flurry of hushes and whispers. He looks at Joohyun oddly who fists her hand into her summer dress. “Did you hear that?”

“Hear what?” Joohyun asks, the pitch in her voice raised as Sehun presses his finger to his lip.

“It sounds like someone’s next door,” he says barely above a whisper.

“Let them be, Sehun,” she grabs his hand as he’s walking towards the noise.

“Do you know who it is?”

“No.”

“Aren’t you curious?”

“Not really,” Joohyun tries to protest but Sehun is persistent. “Why are you?”

“Because in the next room there are two people that we’re friends with and they’re doing something, you’re not slightly curious?”

“Actually to be more correct, the only person who I consider a friend here is you. I’m also more curious about the jacuzzi you were mentioning.” Sehun’s eyes soften and his demeanor changes and he notes her small hands still wrapped around his fingers. “Show me where it is?”

“Do I still get to join you?”

Soojung takes a long stroll along the beach, teetering on the edge of the water as it kisses her feet upon rolling up the shores. She takes a deep breath, allowing herself to be engulfed in the silence of it all. There was seemingly no one else around her and she wondered how far she had wandered off from her group of friends. She wondered why no one else had managed to chase her down either.

“Hey!” a man’s voice catches her off guard as she turns her head to see a dog racing at her. The golden retriever pounces on her playfully knocking Soojung backwards.

“I’m so sorry,” he apologises in English, there’s an accent that makes Soojung wonder if he’s Korean.

“It’s alright,” she replies in English herself.

“He gets really excited when he sees other people, let alone another pretty lady.”

Soojung squats down and scratches the dog’s head, “You think I’m pretty do you?” she asks and the dog her face in agreement. She laughs wiping away the slobber on her cheek. “What’s your name?” she asks.

“Haru,” his owner replies.

“Haru?” Soojung repeats, “Is your name Haru? That’s a pretty name. My name’s Soojung.” The dog her face again and rests its front paws on her shoulders.

“Yah Kim Haru!” the owner of the dog pulls her off, “Fetch, come on, fetch,” he teases her with the ball as he throws it out into the shallow waters for the dog to chase. At what felt like lightning speed the dog disappears.

“You’re Korean?” Soojung asks

“You are too?” he responds and Soojung nods. “What are you doing here?”

“I’m here with some friends.”

He looks around the empty beach, “Am I your friend?” he teases.

She smirks, “You wish.”

“Maybe I do,” he turns to her, “I’m Gongmyung, by the way.”

“That’s a weird name.”

“It’s memorable though.” Haru runs back onto the beach with the ball and drops it at Soojung’s feet. She looks down at the ball and back up and Gongmyung who gestures for her to throw it again. As Soojung does, Haru immediately dashes back into the water. “She thinks you’re trustworthy. Otherwise she wouldn’t have had let you come near her precious toy.”

“I wish my friends were more like her.”

“A dog who fetches?” he intercepts which catches Soojung off-guard.

“N-no!” she tries to protest the notion. “I meant…”

“Relax, I was kidding. They don’t call dogs ‘man’s best friend’ for no reason. Humans could never compete.”

Soojung nods slightly in agreement, as Haru comes back with the ball a third time for her. This time without being prompted Soojung quickly picks it up and throws it as hard as she can. “Hey! Jung Soojung!” her train of thought is broken off when the familiar voice calls her back.

“Looks like your friends do know how to fetch,” Gongmyung whispers closely in her ear, a grin on his face.

Soojung couldn’t help but snort at the remark but quickly manages to compose herself. “I’m coming,” she shouts back to Taemin who was observing them from where he stood.

“Hey, so will I see you again?” Soojung turns around and shrugs her shoulders with a smile. “Till then.” Gongmyung responds with a wicked grin.

***

“Who was that?” Taemin nudges her slightly as they walk back towards the house.

“No one.”

“Just another day in the life of Jung Soojung aye? Handsome men with their dogs trying to hit on you at the beach?” Taemin laughs and Soojung elbows him playfully. Taemin chuckles to himself, “You guys sure do grow up fast.”

“You’re only a year older than us what are you talking about?”

Taemin nods silently, “I mean if it weren’t for the rumours floating around in the tabloids I don’t think I could keep up with any of you guys.”

“I thought you didn’t read the tabloid, too much fake news.”

“I don’t, but the simpletons around me do. Imagine my surprise when people ask me what I have to say about you guys. Your move to France, Suzy’s long lost sister, the death of Jongin’s father and well Sehun I can’t even keep up with the trouble he causes anymore.”

“People ask you about us?” Soojung snorts at how ludicrous the idea was like they were celebrities to be gossiped about. Although Soojung assumes that if people were desperate enough they’d do anything to get what they wanted.

“So are you going to fill me in on what’s been going on in the past year? Or do I have to figure it out for myself.”

“It’ll take a while…”

“We’ve got a long walk back to our house.” Taemin notes the long stretch of sand between them and their villa.

“Well I moved to France with my mother and I was miserable. When I wanted to come back to Korea she took everything from me to try and keep me there. My father – who actually isn’t my real father by the way – ended up having to come to France to bring me back home. So now I haven’t spoken to my mother in a few weeks and my father and I are still dancing around wondering who it was that my mother cheated on him with.”

“Wait so you’re actually not a Jung?”

“By legal rights, just not blood.”

“How do you feel?”

“A little lost.”

“Maybe you should try looking for your real father.”

“And insult the man who’s raised me all these years?”

“Your father brought you back from France knowing you weren’t his child, you should give him some credit.”

Soojung knew that he was right, that maybe the reason why she had felt so hollow since was because of the one question that had been gnawing at her since she returned. Who was her father? Who made up the other fifty percent of her DNA? Who was Jung Soojung really?

“Maybe you’re right.”

“Just sometimes,” Taemin teases. “So what happened between you and Jongin? I’ve been meaning to ask since your brief and awkward hug on the plane earlier.”

“It wasn’t that awkward.”

“You two looked like you had just met for the first time. When I was with you a year ago you seemed like you were in your honeymoon phase.”

“That’s the thing about honeymoons, they don’t last long.”

“Was it because of Suzy?”

“Among other things.”

“Of course.”

“I just wished they’d stop being such idiots and get together already, at least I’d be less offended if he got with her after me than the girl he’s been seeing and all the average other ones after her.”

“You mean they’re not together already?”

“What do you mean?”

“The tension on the plane could be cut with a knife.”

“That’s disgusting.”

“Hey, I’m just telling you what I felt. Also I didn’t specify what kind of tension it was either.”

“What are you ten?”

“Still a year older than you kids.”

Soojung laughs out loud for what felt like the first time she had done so in ages. She nods her head in agreement. With everything happening in their lives, it was hard to believe that they weren’t all that old. They were seventeen, still trying to get a handle on life and all its ups and downs but of late it felt like they were only surviving with their necks above the water.

“So what is going on with Sehun?”

“Don’t even get me started.” Soojung rolls her eyes.

“Soojung, this is what I’m here for,” Taemin says as he loops his arm around her shoulder. “Tell your big brother what’s wrong and I’ll see if I can fix it up for you.”

***

“I need to talk to you?” Joohyun grabs Suzy by the hand and drags her quickly into the room, closing the door shut behind her.

“Unnie, what’s wrong? Did Sehun do something to you again?”

“No, but you almost blew your cover.”

“What? When?” Suzy asks nervously.

“I was with Sehun and we heard you next door, he wanted to check but I managed to drag him away into the jacuzzi.”

“The jacuzzi?” Suzy raises an eyebrow and smirks as she runs her eyes over Joohyun’s body, two piece bikini visible under and oversized white dress shirt and cheeks still flushed from the heat from the tub – or maybe something else. “I think the more scandalous story would probably be you and Sehun in the jacuzzi.”

“That’s not my point.”

“So you’re not denying that something happened?”

“My point is…” Joohyun exclaimed in frustration, “That if you and Jongin were going to be frolicking around without telling your friends, you might want to be more discreet about it.”

There’s a knock on the door and their hearts stop as Joohyun covers mouth with her hands. Fingers pressed to her lips, Suzy creeps over to the door. “W-who is it?” she asks.

“It’s me, Jongin,” he says as both girls breathe a sigh of relief.

Suzy scuffles to quickly open the door to let him in, checking the hallways to see if they were clear. “It’s alright, everyone’s still at the beach.”

Joohyun massages her forehead and takes a deep breath, “As I was saying, if you want me to keep your cover for you then you’ve got to stop letting yourself get caught. Or maybe just don’t interact at all.”

“Wouldn’t that be more obvious?” Jongin asks.

“Than this?” Joohyun points at Suzy who has her arms wrapped around his waist, face titled up towards his face, staring at him affectionately.

“Noona,” Jongin pouts.

“No, we’ll promise not to be reckless,” Suzy breaks away from Jongin, playfully pushing him aside but he comes back quickly and loops his arm around her waist and picks her up playfully. Joohyun rolls her eyes as Suzy giggles, trying to break free of Jongin’s grasp. “You should just tell everyone, I’m sure everyone would be relieved. Myself especially.”

“No,” they both say in protest.

“It’s better that they don’t find out, there’s just too much riding on this and we just want to have a little time to ourselves before anyone else finds out.”

“Well, they’re going to find out sooner than later if you keep this up. Sehun’s already suspicious and there’s probably only a handful of suspects here.”

“I mean you’ll probably be keeping him distracted this weekend though right, noona?” Jongin suppresses a grin as he meets Joohyun’s deadly glare. Suzy slaps his thigh and Jongin yelps in pain and apologises.

“Yes, unnie, we’ll be more careful.”

“Good,” Joohyun lets out a sigh of relief. “I’m going to go back to my room now, just keep it down,” Joohyun says as she closes the door behind her.

It doesn’t take long before she hears Suzy’s shriek on the other side of the door and the laughter that follows.

***

Two weeks earlier

The drive to Joohyun’s house was just far enough for him to think about all he needed to say, but did little to calm his nerves. He makes his way up to her apartment, the layout still familiar to him from when he was there last. It was like living that day again as Jongin carefully treads through the building to Joohyun’s house.

Except this time he wasn’t being hounded and hiding from papparazi, he was merely dragging out the confrontation. Jongin doesn’t hold hope in his heart anymore, but he needed to come clean tonight. He knocks on her door cautiously much like he did the first time. He hears the door locks on the other side and the door creaks open as Joohyun peers through the crack.

“Jongin!”

“Hi, noona, Suzy told me to come around.”

She nods her head, closes the door and unhooks the lock before allowing him inside. “Down the hall to your right.” Joohyun watches nervously as Jongin walks closer to her room.

In the dim room illuminated by the afternoon sun set, he takes a seat on the opposite end of the bed, reaching for a pillow of his own that he could place on his lap. An awkward silence settles in between them before Jongin speaks, “Suzy, we need to talk about the other night.”

“Yeah, we do,” Suzy clears and grips onto the pillow. Her actions betrayed the steadiness in her voice but even she knew that she wouldn’t be able to hold up her front for long.

“Did that night mean anything to you? Or did you just feel bad for me because my father died?”

“Not because your father died…” Suzy answers immediately.

“Then what?” the irritation is beginning to rise in his voice. Jongin had promised to keep his demeanor, but looking and being this close to her made him lose it. “I can’t do it Suzy, I can’t lose you too. Not again. Not so soon after my father.”

“I know, I’m sorry I don’t want to lose you either.”

He sighs, “I broke up with Seulgi too…” Suzy her head to the side, eyes wide opened, “You honestly can’t be surprised. I saw her the next morning and immediately broke up with her because I knew that I no matter what happens it ends up being you - I always come back to you, Suzy.”

“W-what did she say?”

“She said she understood.”

They sit in silence, trying to think of the right words to say to each other. “The other night made me think of the first time you told me you loved me. It made me think of how scared I was of losing you.”

“We’re going to lose each other simply being scared of losing each other.”

“I know – I don’t want that to happen.”

Jongin smirks as he leans his head back against the bed frame and takes a deep breath. “I still love you,” Suzy stopped speaking and stared at him. “I’ve always been in love with you. Even before I told you. I think I realised it ever since we were thirteen. You were on the balcony of your house, in the ragged oversized basketball jersey you got as a present from your father, reading, and the sunlight it hit you just so perfectly.”

“You still love me? Even after everything?”

“You have no idea how much.” Jongin laughs and looks down, “I was always here, waiting for you to love me back. I was always ready for you to come to me and just tell me that you loved me too. But I guess I’m guilty as well. Guilty because I couldn’t have expected you to know how I really felt because I was being an idiot. But if it means a real chance with you, I’m willing to do anything.”

“I love you too,” she says.

“You love me? Is this the kind of love like, ‘Oh Jongin, we’re best friends, you’re like family to me. I love you’ or…” Jongin laughs, “Because we’ve had this chat before. Two years ago if I remember. I told you I loved you and you said it back. Except you…”

Suzy rolled her eyes and grabbed his face. She kissed him gently, tongue grazing over his lips slowly. Jongin kisses her back, he bites her bottom lip gently and wraps his arm around her. Carefully he leans in against her and presses her down onto the bed. He breaks the kiss, staring down at her with a wicked smirk.

“I-love-you,” she says steadily, reassuringly and Jongin delves down and kisses her again.

It felt surreal for them to be like this, their feelings out on the table, no judgment. It was an odd feeling, of relief but also new found fears. But the way Jongin holds her and kisses puts those fears to rest. “Jongin,” she whispers as he starts planting a trail of kisses down her neck. “We can’t do this right now,” she holds his face and caresses his cheeks.

“Why?” he pouts and Suzy laughs.

“Joohyun’s room, also she’s right on the other side of this door.”

He laughs and nods his head. He stands up quickly and helps her up. He tucks away the loose strands of hair behind her ear and she brushes his hair with her fingers quickly. They smile sheepishly at each other before Jongin offers her his hand. Suzy doesn’t hesitate anymore, she takes it proudly and laces her finger with his. “Can I take you home?” he asks and Suzy nods.

This is the last time you tell me I've got it wrong,
This is the last time I say it's been you all along,
This is the last time I let you in my door,
This is the last time, I won't hurt you anymore

It's unbelievable how fast time flies that I hadn't realised it had been over a year since I last updated this. A lot of things have changed since in my personal life since I started writing this all three years ago and because of that I've put this on hold. However it's something that I do tend to think about quite frequently and trying to find time to work on to do because I want to see this till the end. I apologise to all those who had waited and I hope that you'll be able to continue to the end with me on this.

Thank you and Enjoy xo
