“So you don’t have a date to the ball?” Dambi rolled her eyes at Jongin while very slowly running her hand over the puppy they had named Mei. Jongin shook his head, sitting down next to her as she sighed.

“What about the girl you like?”

Jongin looked down and bit his lip, instantly Dambi assumed he had been rejected.

“Hey, I’m sorry man.” She mumbled, passing the puppy over to him hoping it would help him look less like a kicked puppy.

“So will you come with me?” he looked up at her as she shot him a skeptical look even though internally she was fighting a blush from creeping up her cheeks.

“You sure you want me to come with you?”

Jongin placed his hand on her knee and threw her a disarming smile that brought the blush she had been fighting to her face as he grabbed hold of her hand and turned completely towards her.

“There is nothing I would like better!” he grinned.

“What do you mean by he can’t go with you on Saturday?!” Ahra exclaimed when Minah broke the news to her. Minah looked down at the ground and puffed her cheeks before looking back up at Ahra.

“He’s doing the same thing as me.”

Ahra looked at her purely confused “what do you mean?”

“He was trying to get over someone,” she pursed her lips as Ahra sighed and sat next to her and placed her hand on Minah’s shoulder “she’ll be joining the college next year, she’s in town, so he’s going to meet her on Saturday. He apologized profusely, but it was her birthday and…”

“God that boy!” Ahra’s grip on Minah’s shoulder tightened as the latter attempted to hold back her tears and as the lump in formed. She knew she was to blame as equally as he was considering she was trying to get over Donghae using her little attraction for him.

“I’m sorry Minah, I do like you. But…”

“I understand Joonmyeon.”

She wasn’t sure if she was upset with him or with herself.

“I’m an idiot.” She mumbled, in a choked voice as Ahra shot up off the bed.

“You’re not! You did what you thought was right! Now, don’t cry. I’ll go use my CRly powers against him! Beat him up! Dambi will help! She hates that Joonma anyway! Please don’t look like that! Buing buing?”

Minah cracked a weak smile “He also did what he thought was right too Ahra.”

Ahra paused before meekly asking “What about Donghae?”

Minah looked up with her teary eyes “what about him?”

“How do you feel about him?”

“I was still in the process of getting over him.”

“Which means he still has a shot!” Ahra thought to herself as she leaned over and hugged Minah “It’ll be okay Minah, there are so many fish in the sea.” She consoled “Except that there is only one damn fish for you and I’m going to make sure that you’re in, hook, line and sinker.”

That was when the door flew open and Dambi and Haneul stood at the frame with their arms crossed.

“Okay, so when do we beat the out of Joonma?”

“Hey Haneul.” Kris stopped Haneul on her way towards her room. She has just finished a mid-term examination as her brain was fried.

“Hey Kris!” she smiled, relieved by the bright smile on his face.

“So, uhm, I don’t wanna make things awkward but…”

“Haneul! I was looking everywhere for you!” Yixing came running over towards the two with a big grin on his face. Kris’s face fell as Haneul turned to greet Yixing. The latter took a deep breath before grinning at her.

“I wanted to know…”

“Kris! Yixing! You won’t believe what happened! I found out who the M in Joonie’s notebook was its not Mi-” Sehun came speeding in noticing his fellow gossip mongers before looked at Haneul and screeching to a halt as an embarrassed blush spread across his face. Haneul looked at him rather interested.

“It’s not?” she tilted her head expecting an answer.

“Minah…” Sehun mumbled as a collective gasp resounded in the group.

“What do you mean?” Haneul frowned at Sehun who backed away gulping, all thoughts of asking her to the ball completely wiped out of his mind as he feared dying before he actually could.

“It was his previous girlfriend who has gotten back with – Miya” he said, breathing it out as Yixing and Kris raised their eyebrows and Hane
