Jealousy.
Crack Campus Chronicles"You're nuts, that's what you are. Everybody has tried and failed at this!" Dambi grumbled as Jongin half dragged and half led her towards the infirmary. It was starting to get dark and from what she understood from Jongin's long speech, he wanted her to see the adorable Haru’s siblings.
“I know you’re scared of dogs, but from what Haneul has told me, you like puppies. Let’s just go and have a look at them won’t we?” Jongin replied, keeping his hand close to hers in case she decided to bolt from there.
“But I’m scared of them!” she reiterated, still walking though.
“Well, what am I here for?” Jongin grinned, gently leading her over the gravel path to where Minah had told him the puppies were. And lo, he spotted Bora, a third year watching over two balls of fluff rolling around each other. She nodded to him, not spotting Dambi who had been hiding behind him, before scrabbling up from her seat on the ground and instructing him to feed the puppies in the next half an hour. Jongin nodded, taking note of where everything was, before nudging the petrified Dambi towards them.
“Jongin,Ican’tdothis.” She mumbled, staying rooted to the spot as her fingers curled over his arm, holding tightly. Jongin’s cheeks lit up in a bright red as he cleared his throat.
“Of course you can!” he said, bending down to pick the two puppies up and crooning at them. Dambi took three steps back, watching the boy turn into a puppy with the puppies. The little things were almost as adorable as him with their soft brown fur and dark innocent eyes. The crooning on his behalf was rather odd (“Who is a cute little puppy? Who is it? Dawww, it’s you!) But the scene over all was extremely endearing. Until of course he approached her with the two puppies.
The shrieked like a banshee terrifying both Jongin and the pups as he took a few steps back and covered their highly sensitive ears.
“Well, we’re definitely going to have to try a different method then.” He sighed, leaving the puppies on the ground before reaching for her hand and pulling her towards them. A banshee like scream echoed yet again as the puppies yelped and ran around to find a place to hide. But Jongin held strong and continued to pull her closer.
“Close your eyes.” He instructed as she shook her head violently. He coaxed her yet again, before picking a single puppy up and crossing over behind her. His single palm covered her eyes as she automatically closed them. Her crossed arms came into contact with soft fur and she jumped back, knocking into Jongin’s chest as he efficiently trapped her between himself and the puppy. The faint smell of his cologne mingled with the smell that was so characteristic to puppies, his palm was soft and his grip was gentle. She could hear his breaths along with the grunts from the puppy squirming in his hands.
“Go on, pet it.” He whispered in her ear as he hand shakily moved over the soft fur of the squirming creature until it met something wet. She drew back quickly.
“It’s its
