“You’re so slow, Ryosuke.”

Chihiro’s voice rang out once the front door of Yamada house was closed. Ryosuke tailed his sister ascending the stair to the second floor where their bedrooms located.

“Oi, Nee-chan, I’m not!” He replied, annoyed.

“What else should I call you? Dense? Oh yeah, you’re so dense.” His sister kept throwing annoying remark at him.

“Nee-chan, why should you be this mad?” He could not fathom his sister’s act.

They arrived in front of their bedroom which was facing each other. Chihiro turned around and faced him, then said, “Because you, my little brother, is denser than I thought.”

He frowned deeply. “That’s too much, Nee-chan. Why should you be angry? It should be me instead.”

“See, Ryosuke. Mirai is a very good girl. You like her and she likes you. Now, because you’re so slow and dense, another guy, who is obviously smarter and braver than you, snatches her… and I lost a chance to have a very good sister-in-law. Mou! Ryosuke baka!”

With that, her sister slammed the door of her bedroom, leaving him irritated and gaped in confusion. He massaged his temple as a headache came. Recalling her sister’s words, he stilled as he just realized something.

You like her and she likes you.

“She likes me?”

At this, he immediately knocked on Chihiro’s door. “Oi, Nee-chan, what did you mean just now?”

“What?” Chihiro’s voice hollered from inside.

“When you said she likes me… what did you mean?”

Hurried steps were heard coming closer to the door and soon the door was yanked open. Chihiro gave him a disbelieving look.

“See, this is why I call you dense,” she said.

He only maintained his questioning and confused look that eventually Chihiro sighed and composed herself before guiding him through questions.

“Why do you think she bothered herself to make you a cake?”

He did not blush as he had used to this teasing. A day after he returned from concert in Osaka, exactly a week ago, Mirai texted him that she had made the cake and asked where should they met. As he thought all his family members were gone outside and he was alone, he just asked her to come to his house, and she did. Yet, unfortunately, just when she handed him the box before the door, Chihiro walked in and caught them in that moment. His sister threw them a knowing smile with mischievousness glinted strongly in her eyes that made him and even Mirai blushed. After Mirai left, Chihiro pestered him about the occurrence that he eventually blurted out that he liked Mirai. Ever since then, her sister always , yet somehow began to be his supplier of information regarding Mirai as she quite often asked Mirai to accompany her to wherever she wanted when Mirai was free.

“I’ve said it to you that that was only a friendly deed, Nee-chan,” he defended.

His sister rolled her eyes in disbelieving. “Don’t you think it’s too much for a friend?”

“She is just too kind,
