AUTHOR’S POV

As she enter the school premise, Jessica received tons of compliments from people she walk pass by. They say that there is something different in her, but they somehow couldn’t point them out. It’s just that she had this glow in her that they haven’t seen for such a long time.

As she enter the school building, she was greeted by hugs from her friends, Tiffany, Taeyeon, Yuri, Sooyoung, Hyoyeon and Seohyun. Tiffany hugged her as soon as she was able to reach her. They were actually waiting for Jessica’s arrival uneasily at the building’s door because they were worried of what could have possibly happened to their dear friend since she didn’t respond to their calls and messages the night before. They were only waiting for the school bell to ring, and if she didn’t arrive, they were planning to go to her house to check up on her. And to their relief, she showed up on time!

They were really happy, and shocked at the same time because of Jessica’s appearance that morning. They were expecting that she would look haggard when she arrives, but they were greeted by a radiantly glowing Jessica.

No questions were asked about what happened to Jessica because they knew too well what happened to her. They understood what was happening because they also saw the glow on Jessica’s eyes while she was smiling and laughing, she finally recovered from the wound she had, her heart is finally healed.

They walked past the hallway, and as expected, people were looking at their direction. As soon as the seven gals reached the room for their first period class, they were greeted with a commotion from the girls trying to sneak a peek at someone inside their classroom. Despite the crowd that were clustering inside the door, they didn’t find it hard to enter their classroom, the people gathered there gave way for them.

When they entered the room, Jessica’s attention was caught by a guy who seemed to look familiar. He seemed to be a new student, based on what she heard from the chit-chat of the girls near their door. Her different glow may have attracted her classmate’s, not only them but also the people outside that there was a short time span that silence surrounded the place. But it only took a few seconds before those people’s attention were back to the “new guy”.

Everyone was curious to who this guy was. There were no rumors that had spread before that day about a new guy coming. It’s not a surprise if rumors about a new student would spread through the whole school since the school doesn’t easily accept new students, the students may have to have extraordinary to be able to enter the school.

It bothered her that she even stood up and was about to approach the guy, but the school bell rang, which made her stop halfway. During the whole class, she was really bothered that she never took her sight away from him until she finally remembered who the guy was.

She was not bothered by the thought of who the guy was, but now.. she’s bothered of what’s the reason behind the sudden change he has gone through. But she was thankful to that guy. If it wasn’t for him, she could still be stuck as a sober-hearted hopeless romantic.

First period class ended and when the professor already was out of the classroom, the door swung open revealing three handsome guys.

Two of the most handsome and popular guys in the school entered the room having a dark aura behind them. These brought chills to those other students inside the room, which made them leave, except for the six girls.

Donghae felt someone tap his shoulders, but he just ignored it because he knew what would follow if he turns around—it’s either a fist or something disturbing. He just ignored it, but he felt another tap.

“Hey. Who are you and what are you doing attracting those girls who are supposed to be attracted to us?” one of the guys asked.

“And why are you sitting on our friends seat?” another follow up question from the other guy.

Donghae’s lips formed a curve as he familiarized the two voices that was shouting and questioning him. He slowly turned his head into the direction of the two guys and slapped their forheads.

‘How can these two idiotheads not know who their friend is.’, he asked his mind.

“Yah! Why did you do that?!” Kyuhyun shouted angrily.

“Who gave you the right to that to us?!” Siwon angrily added up.

“YAH! You two pabos don’t know who I am? Tss. Why do I even call you two my friends?”, he said.

“Friend?”, the two guys said in unison as their minds were still buffering..

“Eh? Do-Do- Donghae?!” Siwon and Kyuhyun said in shock while their faces were like ( O _ O )

“Donghae, is that really you?” Kyuhyun said, still doubting his friend’s identity.

“You two really disappoint me. How can you not know me? Tsss”, he said to his friends.

“Well, based on the number of times he said “Tss”, I guess this is really him.” –Siwon

“Man, what happened to you? We really thought some new student was taking our place as heartthrobs.” –Kyuhyun

“Kyu, you’re crazy. How can you think about our position when our friend’s seat was taken by whom we thought was some new student?” – Siwon

Donghae wanted to hit Kyuhyun because he thought Kyu was thinking about him, but he was actually thinking of his image. Luckily, Siwon was there to do the hitting for him.

“GOOOOOOOOOOD MOOOOOOORNING!” shouted by a monkey.

­“Hey Siwon! Kyu—“ he didn’t get to finish what he was saying because his eyes landed on Donghae.

“Donghae?” he said while poking his face.

Hae just looked at him and didn’t reply. He’s just testing him how well he knows him. Well, since they’ve been best friends from kindergarten and all.

“ Yah! Donghae! What happened? Did your parents burn all your clothes and bought these new ones and you didn’t have any choice but to wear this?” –Hyukjae

“Tss. What do you mean? Can’t I change the way I dress?”

“It’s not like that, but... it’s not like... uhmm no offence, bro.. it’s not like you’re style.”

“You wan’t me to change back to my nerdy outfits back then?”

“That’s not what I’m saying.. it’s just that—“

Hyukjae didn’t get to finish what he was saying because Kyuhyun cut him off.

“What he mean is, he just doesn’t want you to look better than him.”

“What??! What did you just say, Kyuhyun?!” –Hyuk

“The truth.” Kyuhyun, with an expression less face.

“YOU WANNA DIE NOW?!” –Hyuk

“I would like to, but I want you to go ahead first.” –Kyu

“Hey guys. Stop it.” –Siwon

It took quite a bit of a long time before he ran out of air to laugh, and slowly... the atmosphere between the guys became serious.

“Hey. Donghae. We’re friends here, right?”, said Eunhyuk

“Yeah. Yeah. We’re friends.” I said

He knew right then, by the way his friend talked, that it’s time for him to tell them what happened. They were talking about what happened to Donghae, but what they didn’t notice was the presence of the girls, who were also listening to the his story.
