[Restaurant]

“What’s taking her so long?” A group of girls donned in scarves, caps, pullovers and sunglasses were seen peeking out from one of the corner.

“Sica are you sure it’s the same restaurant as the one Yoong mentioned?” Taeyeon asked, looking around the restaurant every now and then.

“You’ve been asking me the same question for the past hour.”

“Sorry. Just double checking.”

“She said the reservation is at 7.30pm, which is like now.” Jessica replied, checking the time on her phone.

“Got caught up in the traffic maybe?” Sunny said.

“Guys hide! She’s entering!” Tiffany informed when she saw a familiar face entering the restaurant.

“Ouch my feet!”

“Sorry!”

“Okay she entered the VIP room already.”

“That was close.” The girls walked out from their hiding spot.

“Okay, I go over to inform the waiter. You girls can go prepare the cake.” Taeng told them and went over to the headwaiter.

 “Alright, get the candles ready. We’ll just go in after the waiter come out.” The rest of the girls were setting up the candles and preparing to surprise Sooyoung.

‘OK’ Taeyeon gave them the signal once the waiter who took the couple’s order came out of the room.

“By the count of three, girls. One. Two. Three.” Taeyeon opened the door after she finished counting and the members entered with the lighted cake, singing the birthday song for the celebrant.

  Happy Birthday dear Sooyoung,

  Happy Birthday to You!”

This took Sooyoung and her boyfriend by surprise as they didn’t expect to see her members here.

“Oh my god. I’m shocked.”

“Make a wish Sooyoung! And blow the candles before it melts.” Yuri brought the cake up to her.

“Sowoneul Malhaebwa!” Sooyoung clasped her hands together and made a wish before blowing the candles off.

“Woo!! Happy Birthday Sooyoung!”

“Wow, thanks guys. Didn’t expect this. Sica told me the party was after my date at the dorm.” Sooyoung said while helping her members to settle down.

“I said it so that it’ll not be suspicious of me to ask you about your date.”

“Nice one Jessi.”

“Sorry for ruining your date Sooyoung Unnie and Kyung Ho Oppa.” The maknae, who was being uncomfortable about this “surprise”, apologized on behalf of the rest of her playful unnies.

“It’s okay. The more the merrier anyway. Sooyoung was inviting me over to your supposedly birthday party later too.” Kyung Ho said.

“You’re gonna invite a guy over to the dorm?!”

“I didn’t! He was kidding!”

“Haha yeah. Girls, how about I help you guys take a group photo? You know, it’s a rare sight to see all nine together.” Kyung Ho suggested.

“Oh right, we haven’t been able to take a full group photo for birthday parties before.”

“Gather over girls! Sooyoung in the center!”

“Okay, Say cheese! Beautiful.”

“Thanks Oppa.”

“Unnies, I think it’s better for us to leave Sooyoung Unnie and Kyung Ho Oppa alone. It’s supposed to be their date anyway.”

“It’s alright Seohyun. Let’s just all eat together. I’ve never had a meal with Soshi before anyway. It’s an honour.” Kyung Ho told her, hoping to make her feel less guilty.

“Place your order girls, my treat.”

“Yay!”

The night ended with the girls having their long catch-up sessions, talking about everything and anything, and building snowman.
