Kyungsoo couldn't decide if he wanted to be excited for today or not.

Usually he loved Fridays for many reasons, one of the biggest being that they wonderfully kicked off the weekend which he usually longed for. Also -- and this was the most delicious part usually -- Friday was a day that his free period and his friend's all lined up directly after lunch.

Others may not have been as excited for something like this, but for Soo this meant he got to spend more time just relaxing with people he cared about. And by relaxing he meant vigorously studying while everyone around him talked and disturbed the whole library during their off period together.

But Today was going to be different for one reason; Kris was going to be off this free period with them too and Soo was a thousand percent sure that Sehun was going to invite him to their study session.

Kris had been nice enough up to that point, even with all that had happened between them, and his worst trait had just been how into himself he was. Well that and his habit of trying to take advantage of people, but for some reason that grilled on the back burner in his head.

Kyungsoo needed to learn how to arrange priorities better.

Anyways, all of these traits led up to Kyungsoo not being very interested in getting to know Kris better. He was sure the giant was a great guy underneath all his machismo, casual , and narcissism and maybe there was a really sweet and giving person behind the aura, but the older wasn't interested in even getting to that point.

He'd much rather just ignore Kris entirely, forget about their burgeoning 'relationship,' and focus on Kai with all his attention. No matter what, Kai was the one he wanted most, but Kris was serving as a buzzing annoyance around that certainty, reminding him that things were always more complicated than they seemed.

"I really hate that I have to wear this stupid uniform," the younger tugged at his tie, "I don't even technically go to school here."

"I got like two warnings about your dress code violations, if you wanted to keep coming with me you were going to have to adapt," Soo's head was still buried in the anthology he had to read for class.

"I know and I'd wear twenty blazers if it meant being with you every second of my day, but it doesn't make me resent having to wear it any less," Kai huffed and leaned back in the seat, "It's not you Soo, it's the ing strangle tie."

The older giggled and allowed himself a break to examine the outfit Kai was currently railing against. He adjusted the collar, which was bent oddly, and he loosened the tie a little so that Kai would have more room to flex his neck muscles.

"Is it better?" Soo looked over him one last time.

"No," Kai's lower lip jutted out, "it's still starchy and stiff, but at least you fixed the hold this thing has on my breathing."

The younger just gave up, loosened his tie even further, and ed his top button so that he could feel more comfortable. Soo tisked at him a few times, but didn't try to correct the cracks in code because he couldn't help but find it adorable.

"Try not to ravish each other just yet," Baekhyun finally arrived all by his lonesome, taking the seat right across from them at the table, but where he could be parallel to Kai, "I'm sure the Librarian wouldn't want you messing everything up with your moans."

"Is this in reference to my collar?"

"Is there somewhere else where your clothes are undone?" Soo laughed at Baek's attempt at smoothness, but couldn't help but find the joke too crunchy to make sense.

"Baekhyun-ssi, how do you do it?" he leaned over and flicked the blonde's thin black tie, "you wear yours like it's a noose."

"I happen to like things a little painful."

"Even with that memory in mind it still doesn't make sense to me,"  Kai flashed that shady grin he wore so well and suddenly everyone understood what he was inferring.

His friend kicked Kai under the table but both fell into a fit of chuckles over it.

"If you two are done, I'm pretty sure Baekhyun has things to study for," Soo continued reading the boring thing because homework was important.

"Nope," the blonde got comfortable in his seat, "my schedule is home free after this ... honestly I'm considering going home after you two go back to class."

"You've never cut school before."

"It's not like I'm gonna miss anything ... and I wasn't planning on cutting class as much as I was planning to go to the nurse and pretend I'm sick."

"I don't think you can poke any holes in that idea Kyungsoo-ssi," Kai poked his arm.

When he saw Chanyeol and Sehun approaching next, the tall one finishing a Popsicle as quickly as possible before walking into the no food zone, he knew his only chance at peaceful study time was done. He quit the story -- he knew Wuthering Heights well enough from personal reading -- and scooted closer to Kai because his reckoning was near.

"Baekhyun-ssi, can you tell me why he," Kai pointed to the older, "rides the bus everyday when he has a car."

"So that he can be with me everyday," the blonde mockingly batted his eyelashes, "no, it's because Soo is convinced that if he drives here it's going to get stolen or hit or some other misfortune that he simply can't allow to happen to his precious car."

"Cars are very expensive Baek," he smiled, "and I wouldn't want to end up like you with a license and no vehicle to be seen yet."

His friend glared and put his head down on the table, "You're lucky I like you because making fun of me for my lack of a car-,"

"Due to your lack of funds."

"Yes, due to my perpetual broke-ness, is evil Soo," Baek crossed his arms, "what can I say, clothes are so much more important than wheels."

"Who's evil?" Chanyeol kissed Baek on the cheek and sat down in the empty seat next to him, "Is Soo bullying my baby?"

"It's creepy when you say that because Baekhyun looks all of six," Sehun pulled up a chair to their little gathering, "And yes, If I know Kyungsoo, he is bullying your child."

"I have half a mind to beat you up," Chanyeol bowed up at him.

"You have half a mind in general," the pale one commented back.

"I'm only allowing this because I think the ensuing fight between you two is going to be arousing," Baekhyun placed his hand's on the taller's shoulder to help him strain less.

Chapter 35: I love this story. I love the kaisoo part of it, but also the deeper ideas you bring into it. One thing that bothers me to no end is not knowing for sure what happened to tao, but i can guess and i think it might be better that way. Thank you for writing this!

This story was quiet intriguing and made me contain a variety of emotions. The concept of the story was appealing in many ways and piqued my interest instantly. I couldn't stop reading and stopping even if it was 3 am! Jongin's thoughts in the last chapters on humans were quite in depth and in fact impacted me, and showed me the raw, true disdain he felt for the humans. The characters you chose to portray were also amazing. Jongin was absolutely playful and charming I must say. A few things were not perfect, but nonetheless the story was a whole was fantastic. I felt like you focused a bit more on Jongin's and Kyungsoo's relationship, which was perfectly fine, but I feel like the readers weren't able to get to grasp the other side characters as well, thus when Chanyeol died I didn't feel the emotional attachment or remorse, and when they left Luhan and Sehun. The was also wonderfully phrased and flowed well. Their love, the way they express it, the jealousy, everything together was just breathtaking. Thank you author nim for this story~

Chapter 14: "Then hurt me damn it!" the tears were welling up, "Whip me, beat me, burn me, spit on me, anything you can because it pales in comparison to the pain I feel not having you."

UGH this line right here, made me so emotional. I adore the depth of his love, the intensity of his words, how desperately he wanted to convey his emotions and just how perfect these two are for one another. This line is everything.
