Instead of
Unrequited love?Heeyoung eyed the letter she holds onto. Beats her, she wouldn’t know what’s in it. It was Jaebum’s last letter. And she doesn’t even have the least bit of intention to open it. Not now.
“Heeyoung-ah, it seems you don’t want to read the letter, but please look at the memo.” Taecyeon said. Heeyoung quirks an eyebrow, and look at the memo instead.
It was an address, and her brain doesn’t seems working that properly ever since Jaebum so-called, to put it simply, death. What is this address for? Maybe Taecyeon knows?
“What, or maybe, whose is this address?”
“You’d figure it out yourself if you go there.” Taecyeon mumbled under his breath, but loud enough for Heeyoung and the rest of the group to hear. They’re now in the rooftop, simply come there in coincidence.
When Heeyoung opened the door lead to the rooftop, she found the group, minus Junsu and Nichkhun of course, are standing quietly, in a space that tells people they’re not in a conversation with each other. Though Heeyoung knows they share a same thought. Jaebum.
Jaebum lead them to that place. The 5 of them chuckled to see how Jaebum affect their mind and make them try to find somewhere out there where they could make themselves lost in thought. And apparently, they come to a same conclusion for that place in their school, a rooftop, with hardly anyone comes there.
“Then you come with me.” Heeyoung snapped.
“No.” Taecyeon quickly refused.
“Why not? It’s not like it’ll hurt you to accompany me to this certain address. Besides, he gave this to you, didn’t he?”
“Well yeah, but it doesn’t mean I’m willing to give you company to that place. Go find someone else. Look, why not Chansung?” Taecyeon stated, gaining a confused look from Chansung and a sudden motion of shaking head.
"Oh come on Taecyeon."
"No."
"How about we'll go to whatever places you want to go after that?"
"Still no."
"You really want to let me go alone?"
"Like I said, why not someone else? Junho, Wooyoung, Junsu hyung and Khunnie hyung. They're very much available than I am."
“Why are you putting so damn effort not to go to that place with me?”
“No particular reason, really.”
“Then go. It’s decided, and no buts. Be ready in the next Saturday at 10 a.m.” Heeyoung said and then slipped from the conversation, leaving Taecyeon and whatever his retort is. The others are laughing, but they go silence again as soon as Heeyoung is nowhere to be seen.
“It’s her address isn’t it?”
“Yes.”
“Heeyoung Noona has the point, though it’s that place, how is that got something to do with you until you put that much effort refusing to company her, Hyung?” Wooyoung asked.
“Exactly what I said, there’s no particular reason.”
“Yeah whatever.” Junho muttered, ignoring the fact that Taecyeon doesn’t want them to know about it. He wants to play secret, fine. Junho knows everyone has their own secrets and it’s not like Taecyeon to hide something, so it maybe is something serious. Just let him be, until a certain matter of time. Junho does think they’ll figure it out for sure.
“But don’t you think she’s too cheerful for God’s sake?” Chansung asked confusedly, eyeing the ‘hyungs’.
“I guess she really meant what she said back then in the hospital, ‘I have no intention on dwelling with mourns instead of—‘,” Wooyoung stated, “Instead of.” He repeated. “There are so many instead of. Well that time, it was instead of preparing for Jaebum’s funeral. But now…”
“She has no intention for dwelling with mourns instead of dealing with us, bunches of five years old kids whom have drowned in that mourn itself.” Taecyeon finished, making the rest chuckled.
“True enough. Noona knows what the four of us doing here, much as her first intention for coming to the rooftop. But maybe when she saw us, she has chosen not to show any kind of desperateness on her face, though we knew how it is on the inside.”
Silence filled the place once again, with agreement to Junho’s statement in it.
