Something he hides
Unrequited love?
“Eee… Heeyoungie, can I ask you what is that you bring here to school?” Junhyung spotted me in the locker room and asked.
“This little thing just won’t leave me alone… He doesn’t want to be left at home.” I answered, sighing. Yeah, when I stepped from the door to go for school, Flynn followed me. I said to go back but he just didn’t want to hear me out and instead followed me here.
“May I just ask since when you have a puppy?” he raised his eyebrows and asked again while bringing Flynn to his arms. But apparently Flynn doesn’t like it so he barks and jumps from Junhyung, hiding behind my feet.
“What? He doesn’t like me??” Junhyung said with a sad face. I chuckle to see him and wrap Flynn around my arms instead.
“I don’t know, maybe he just hasn’t knew you yet. But I wonder why he was clinging into me without a reason yesterday at the park.”
“I see.” Junhyung said, out of politeness to reply my sentence. I parted with him in the hallways because I decide to go to the infirmary, ask the teacher to take care of Flynn as I’m in the class.
“Oh, girl… you have a dog complex problem here…” the teacher said. I slap him in the head, not polite? Well…
“Well Uncle Dongwoon, I’m sorry but he has an owner complex not me have a dog complex, what is dog complex anyway, you weird.” I replied and… yeah as you can heard, he is my uncle.
“Sorry, sorry, put him there on the basket and I’ll give him food and all later.” He said pointing at a basket that usually use for an injured animal from the school garden.
Flynn whines as I walk towards the basket, I think he doesn’t like the thought being left alone with Dongwoon.
“Bear with it, Flynn. It’s because you didn’t listen to me to stay at home that you have to stay with this person for several hours. And if you dare leave this place without me knowing… you know what I will do to punish you, don’t you?” I said, feeling myself gone nuts for talking to a puppy.
But hey, Flynn understands what I’m talking about, since he whines obediently anyway, so it’s okay if anyone says I’m freak or something. “Good boy.” I patted his head and waved to Dongwoon and head to my class.
“Heeyoung-ah!” someone shouted my name as I walked on the 3rd floor corridor. I turn to see Gikwang there try to catch up to me. I stop my pace. Well, go to class together with him won’t hurt.
“I saw you just walk out from the infirmary room, are you sick or something?” he asked.
“No…”
“? Then what?” he asked again and I explained everything.
“Huh? Yesterday? You went to a park? Didn’t you enter the sweet shop along that road?”
“Sweet shop? I don’t remember entering one recently.”
“Really? But I thought it was clearly you even though I see you from far… wait, to think about it, your clothes are different…”
“See? It wasn’t me. Maybe you’ve got the wrong person.”
“But your face and hair look so alike…” I heard him mumbling, maybe not satisfied with the result he’s given.
“Morning Heeyoung-ah!” he patted my back.As always as the usual morning of course, it’s Taecyeon. “Oh, morning too, Gikwang.” He added.
“Mornin’.” I replied shortly without turning my head to him, while Gikwang glared obviously at him. What is it? Are they in a fight?
“Morning too, Taecyeon.” Gikwang replied also. He’s smiling but… talking about sarcastic. Taecyeon didn’t seem to mind him though because he waves to us a minute later.
“What is it, Gikwang?”
“What is what?”
“You were obviously glaring.”
“Was I? I don’t know, I like him—as a friend—but it’s always seems like he’s keeping something when he’s with you. It’s like something only he knows and… maybe that was not glaring but me trying to found out whatever he’s thinking?”
“Taecyeon? Keeping something? Well you keep something too right? Everyone has their own secret to begin with, so what’s so wrong about it?”
“No, no, I don’t mean it like that, of course I have my own secrets but he… Umhh look I don’t know how to explain it…” he made a troubled face and pouted, I giggled to see him like that, it’s remind me of Flynn when he whines.
I patted his head and lead him through the corridor. “It’s okay I get it. Don’t suspicious him for something bad, he’s a kind man just like you, despite something he hides, okay?”
“Okay, mom, move your hand from my head.” He said and I laughed.
