School starts again tomorrow. I don’t want to go back because I want to stay home with Sungjong-oppa, and surprisingly, my father. But I have to go back. I usually won’t care much, but after seeing Myungsoo that day I don’t want to face him. Because seeing him would make me think of that girl, and thinking of that girl hurts me. It makes me feel empty.

I walked into the class with Jinah, and we immediately went to our seats. Taeyeon and Woohyun were already there talking with each other.

“Jung Taeyeon, what did you do to your hair?” Jinah exclaimed, pulling at Taeyeon’s bangs.

“Wait until Hwayoung sees you. She’ll blow up,” Woohyun mumbled. I shook my head and started to take out my pencils and notebook.

“She won’t see you until the beginning of class. She’s out with her boyfriend,” I said.

“Speaking of her boyfriend, we still don’t know who he is. She has this weird nickname for him,” Woohyun said. He shook his head. “Why doesn’t she just tell us who he is?”

Taeyeon shook her head. “Just mind your own business.” I smile a rest my head on my hands, which are propped up on the table. “Where’s Sungyeol?” Taeyeon asked. Woohyun shrugged. “How do you not know where he is? You guys are always with each other!”

“Almost always. Almost,” Woohyun points out. Then, he nudged me with his leg under the desk. “Your partner’s here.” I look at him with an eyebrow raised, an “are-you-serious?” expression donning my face. When he waved Myungsoo over, I kicked him in the shin. “Ow! Yah! Why’d you kick me!”

I looked at him innocently. “What kick?” He made a face at me and turned around to pull a chair for Myungsoo, placing it conveniently between the two of us. I glare at Woohyun and he gave me a teasing smile in return.

“How was your break Mikyung?” Myungsoo asked me.

I smiled at him. “It was nice,” I answered. “Why are you here so early?”

“Howon’s out with his girlfriend and Dongwoo-hyung is already in his classroom.” I nodded in understanding then glanced under the desk and aimed another kick at Woohyun’s leg. But the cry of pain a few seconds later wasn’t Woohyun’s. It was Myungsoo’s.
