Out
Because I'm HurtingSpring break. To others: a chance to sleep in, procrastinate on any given homework, and hang out with friends. To me: a living nightmare. Staying home where there is arguing all the time...it’s tiring. But that was before. My mother is coming home the week after spring break ends. That means a week of no arguing, bonding with Sungjong, and maybe even going out once or twice with my friends.
“Who were you chatting with last night? You stayed up so late,” Sungjong asked as he came into the kitchen. He was rubbed his eyes as opened the refrigerator. He took out a carton of orange juice and poured it into a glass.
“A friend...” I mumbled, shoveling cereal into my mouth.
“Is it that guy who came over? Myungsoo?” he asked. He pulled a chair next to me and took the spoon that was in my bowl.
I nodded. I took the spoon back and frowned at him. “My food.”
He rolled his and stood up. “Well I just want to tell you that I’m not going to be with you today, so find other company.”
I raised my eyebrow at him. “Are you dying your hair again? Please tell me you’re not.” He shook his head at me and patted me on the head.
“I’m going to go out. Don’t ask. You go shopping with Taeyeon or something.” He left the kitchen and I heard him climb up the stairs. I went back to eating my breakfast until I heard him call from upstairs. “I think your friend is talking to you again! Your computer is making weird noises!”
