Jiyong's POV


In a normal Sunday morning, I usually went to the car center to have my car check after breakfast but since Sandara is here, I decided to do it later. To be with her this morning is more interesting at the moment.

"How's your first night, Sandara?" Mom asked her.

To be honest, I did not get enough sleep. And that was translated by Dad.

"Omo, it is really like that at beginning but sooner you'll get used to your new room."

She smiled. Thank you. Her smiles are really captivating. This is the same smile I saw from those photos that Sajangnim had then I suddenly wonder what I would feel if I'll hear her laugh.

"You're welcome dear."

"Mom, you learned fast."

She giggled. "It's because I have a good teacher." It made Dad to chuckle then she looked at me. "You won't go to the car center?"

"Later, Mom."

Her eyes spark in amusement. "Why don't you bring Sandara with you? Or tour her around so she won't get bored here."

That's what her Ahjumma ultimate favor to me. Not to expose Sandara to the public so there is definitely a reason behind it and I am very sure that it has a connection with the Park Family case years ago. But still I feel odd that she entrusted Sandara to me where in fact she doesn't trust someone like me. Is she playing some mind games? "Maybe next time Mom." That surprised Mom, she obviously didn't expect for me to say it then I stand up. "I'll be back in the afternoon." Before I leave, I looked to Sandara. There is confusion on her face; I guess I should talk to her once I come back.

While driving, I remembered Sandara's Ahjumma words that bewildered me.

I don't trust you, Inspector Kwon so prove to me that I am wrong.

If she is really connected to The White Plains, does it mean she wants me to cover her up? Of course that's not going to happen. I became a police because I don't want anyone to experience injustice.

After a while, I reach the car center.

"I missed you Inspector." Sohyuk Hyung said.

I chuckled. "My car missed you too Hyung."

He smirked then guide me to his room as my car starts now to be checked by his staff. "By the way, congratulations on your latest case. I heard that your team is dubbed now as the Justice League."

I laugh as I didn't know such thing. "Really? So who am I from that team?"

"You are Superman. Seunghyun is Batman. Seungri is Flash and Jae is Green Lantern."

I chuckled. "Seunghyun should be the Flash. Where did you hear that information anyway?"

He grinned. "From my Hyuna." He is referring to his nine year old daughter. "She saw it online last night. She even said that there is already a fan club for you as all of you are good-looking police officers. You can pass as idols."

"I can't argue anymore."

"Punk." Then we both laugh. As soon as his staff finished checking my car, I bid my goodbye to him. "Wow. This is the first time I sensed your eagerness to go home, Inspector. Is someone waiting for you?"

I smirked. "Hyung, you sound like a reporter now. Gotta go." I didn't understand what he said after that as I hurriedly go back to my car. When I went back home, Mom is currently preparing the dining table while Dad is watching the news.

"You're just in time, Jiyongie. Call Sandara, the food is ready."

I just nodded then went to her room but she is not there so she must be on the rooftop which I am correct. She is currently staring at the surrounding and it seems she felt my presence; she tilted her head then my chest pound hard when she smiled. I smiled back then walk towards her and looked to her beautiful eyes. Those eyes of her are really expressive; it is like it became her way to speak what her mind says.

Didn't Ahjumma really tell you something?

I inhale deeply. She was definitely bothered by my reaction earlier. "She doesn’t want me to allow you to go out."

She sighs. She told you her reason? She sigh again when I shake my head then I observe her reaction, she definitely wanted to ask more but I think she knew that she will only waste her time. Only her Ahjumma can answer her but still, she can't help but to be worried for her.

Then my phone suddenly rings. It's Sajangnim. It seems I am going to work today; he would not call for nothing. "I know it's your off but a homicide happened at Gangnam." Then he told me that exact place. "I already called your team so go there now."

"Yes, Sir." Then he ended the call. I looked back to Sandara. "I need to go." She just nodded then we both go down. After telling Mom and Dad about Sajangnim's call, I hurriedly went to the crime scene and they were there already except Seunghyun. "Am I late?"

"No. We only arrived a half-hour ago." Jae answered.

I looked to the floor where the body sketch is located. Judging how it made, it is definitely a woman. "Who is the victim?"

"It's Lee Sora, Hyung." Seungri said. I think I've heard that name before. "The best villain actress."

I see. Now I remembered how Mom ranted after watching a drama where she was portraying an evil mother. "She has a daughter, right?" Both of them nodded. "Where is the kid?"

"At the hospital." He continued. So the kid still alive. "But she is not in a good condition." Then he give to me the folder he is holding that contains all necessary information of the victims. The daughter is sixteen years old while the victim is on her early forties. "Though there are no stab wounds on her body, she was found at the floor near the stairs. It seems that the culprit pushed her." The stairs are pretty long with edgy and big steps so definitely her body surely didn’t afford the pain.

Whoever it is deserved to rot in jail. "Where is her husband by the way?"

"At the office." Jae chuckled. "Seunghyun dragged him there as he was the first one who saw the victims."

"So he is the primary suspect." Both of them nodded again then I looked to the box beside Seungri. "All the things that would be possible evidence are there?"

"Yes, Hyung."

I looked to Jae, he showed me his camera. "I also requested for the CCTV copy and the phone record of the victim."

"Good. What about the murder weapon?"

Seungri sighs. "Unfortunately, it's missing."

I nodded. Somehow I expected it in every case we handle then I looked again to Jae. "Bring that box with you and go back to the office. Start preparing everything." He nodded then I looked back to Seungri. "Talk to the immediate family of the victim and of the husband as well. Be at the office as soonest as you can."

"Roger!" After they salute to me, they left. I looked around, some officers are guarding outside while others are still checking of more possible things that can give us lead.

I inhale deeply, it's time to work.

The house is spacious which surrounded by tall walls and there is a quite space between neighborhood so if the victims shouts, they will surely not be heard.

The CCTV is at the main door only while the backyard area has no exit so the only way to get in and out at this house is from the main door.

Then I called one of the officer who is currently searching the murder weapon, a dog is with him. I scratch the dog's top head while looking around.

"Still no luck?"

"Yes Sir."

I nodded. "Keep searching."

He salutes. "Yes Sir!"

Then I went back inside of the house and search every area thoroughly but each room had no sign that something terrible happened. I stopped at the kid's room as I saw a diary that was hidden under the bed then I found interesting information.

"Today, I heard Mom and Dad fought and I discovered that my Dad isn't my real Dad. Maybe this was the reason why he never cares for me."

This was not shown on the victim's profile so I dialed Seunghyun's number. "Yes, Boss."

"Did you kill the husband already?"

He chuckled. "Not yet."

"What time he found the body?"

"Around eight this morning."

"Alright. Release him for the now. We have no evidence yet but have someone follow him."
