Chapter 21

Soorin's POV

Thank god it's finally friday! I‘m SO excited. Going to hang out with Woohyun Oppa and go for photogra- wait. NO, DON'T GET ME WRONG, I AM NOT EXCITED TO SEE KIM MYUNGSOO! I MEAN SOOSOO's FACE. Not at all. Does he still think I am mad at him? I kind of think that he is still calling me with too many names though. Maybe if I continue pranking on him, he will stop? Hehe.

End of Soorin's Pov

Soorin was humming to the song playing on her Ipod as she walked swiftly to school. With her earphones plugged in, she waited at the bus stop for her bus. 15 minutes passed and Soorin's bus still didn’t arrive. She was starting to panic as she glanced at her watch. It was already 7.45 am and school starts at 8am sharp. Just as Soorin was still thinking if she should run to school instead, a motorbike horn was suddenly heard from behind of her. Soorin's face brightened up as she recognised it as the horn of Woohyun's new motorbike. "Soorin! Hop on! Palli!" Woohyun spoke in a rush as he threw a helmet to Soorin. She caught it and immediately hopped onto Woohyun's motorbike, signalling the start of a rollercoaster ride.

Woohyun drove so fast that Soorin couldn’t even breathe, much more say a word. Woohyun realised that Soorin was grabbing tightly to the ends of his school uniform through the rearview mirror. He stopped his motorbike when the traffic light turned red. ”You should just put your arms around me if you’re afraid of falling down.” He said while grabbing Soorin’s hands and then placing  them around his waist. Soorin smiled, touched at Woohyun’s thoughtfulness.

On the other hand, a frown appeared on someone's face and it was no other than Kim Myungsoo’s. Well, it was just of no luck for Myungsoo to see the whole thing happen before his eyes.

As soon as the traffic light turned green, Woohyun sped off followed by Myungsoo who was few cars away and they reached their school in less than 10 minutes. Just in time for the first class.  

"Just nice. You have 5 more minutes, now go, I'll catch up with you later!" Woohyun smiled at Soorin as he pushed her gently off the motorbike.

Soorin shouted 'thanks' as she ran towards her classroom, panting and huffing just in time to see her teacher in the class. "LEE SOORIN. Lucky day. You're right on the dot. Take a sit. " Seconds later, Woohyun rushed into the classroom too. He quickly bowed to the teacher and pulled Soorin into the nearby empty chairs. Miraculously though, Myungsoo was already sitting in his seat at the back of the classroom. Not even bothering about the two who just came in, he stared at the board while swirling his pen with his left hand.

"Acting all lovey dovey huh." Myungsoo spat, sounding totally like a jealous boyfriend. No doubt he was annoyed. Oh hell, he was annoyed AND jealous.

Classes seemed to have passed amazingly fast that morning and it was already the time for recess.  Myungsoo stood up from his seat, intending to ask Soorin if she wants to eat with him but his jealousy got the better of him. “Soorin-ah, I brought food for us today. Let’s eat together!” Woohyun said cheerfully, even before Myungsoo could step away from his chair. “Okay!” Soorin replied with a grin.

Myungsoo clenched his fist tightly and sat down, trying to suppress his anger and jealousy. He felt like grabbing Woohyun’s collar and throwing him a few punches. He glared at Soorin and Woohyun who were eating happily. I swear, if looks could kill, their heads would be rolling on the ground right now and the murderer is of course, the all mighty Kim Myungsoo.

“You’re so good in cooking oppa! You’re the best!” Soorin complimented Woohyun, gaining a pinch on her left cheek. “Why are you so cute? Princess.” Woohyun said jokingly. Myungsoo who witnessed everything couldn’t stand watching any of Soorin and Woohyun’s lovey dovey moments anymore. He stood up from his chair abruptly, making a loud noise on purpose. Without looking at the two culprits who were responsible for his rage and jealousy, he stomped out of the class and went to the nearest toilet.

“What’s wrong with Myungsoo?"Woohyun asked nonchalantly. "He's bipolar," Soorin shrugged. However, something tugged on her heart deep  inside and she felt as though something horrible was going to happen . Should she follow Myungsoo out? Nah, she wanted to prank him remember? Well, that's what she intended to do, not knowing the terrible consequence that could hit her right in the face. “Soorin, I think you should go check out on Myungsoo since you guys are kinda close to each other.” Woohyun said with a concerned tone. Even though Woohyun didn’t like Soorin hanging out with Myungsoo, he couldn't help but to ask Soorin to check on him.He had this instinct telling him that Myungsoo being this mad was because of Soorin.

“Fine. I’ll go. See you in a while oppa.” Soorin said unwillingly.  She rushed out of the classroom to search for Myungsoo but he was nowhere in sight. Soorin roamed around the corridors until something stopped her in her tracks.The roof! That place was where Myungsoo said he would go when he encountered problems wasn't it? Without hesitation, Soorin ran up four flight of stairs just to get to the destination. Strangely, her heart was beating faster and in irregular beats. She could feel bad vibes as she pulled opened the door that led to the roof.

"Myungsoo?" Soorin muttered. She looked around and finally saw a figure sitting on a bench. Soorin heaved a sigh of relief. It was Myungsoo and he was staring into the clear sky. "Myungsoo? What's wro-" Soorin tried talking to Myungsoo but was cut off instead. "Go away. I don't need you to be here." Myungsoo spoke calmly as he stared right at Soorin. Anger. It was written all over his face. Soorin was taken aback and she opened to say something but closed it again, not knowing what was the right thing to say at a time like this. "Why do you keep flirting with Woohyun? Are you that desperate for the attention of guys? Is that why you are talking to me in the first place?" Myungsoo asked, almost yelling. "What? I- " Soorin said as she took a step back, trying to process what Myungsoo was saying to her.

Reality slapped her so hard and she couldn't help but turn away from Myungsoo. Before walking away, she said , "I never knew you thought of me like this. I thought..." and before Myungsoo could make sense of what she said, Soorin was long gone.
