Soorin has always liked the beach. Whenever she sees the beach, she would be really happy and energized. It's been a long time since she visited one. The last time she visited one? It was when she was 10!

 

Soorin stood up from the picnic mat and decided to take a walk around the beach. Soorin bent over to touch the sand. The silk-soft sand was warm. Its honey-gold grains gleamed in the sunlight.

 

Attracted by the sea water, Soorin decided to take off her shoes and feel the water's coolness with her feet. She walked into the water slowly. 

 

The cool water made her feel refreshed. Unconsciously, Soorin kept on walking deeper and deeper into the water with her eyes closed as she was enjoying the feeling of calm and soothing water.

 

Not to mention that, it is quite silly that she actually couldn't swim at all even though she likes the beach a lot. 

 

When Soorin opened her eyes, she started to panic. She was in the water, far away from the beach. She struggled to get back to the shores but she was closer to drowning every time she struggled.

 

The water pushed down on her from all sides. The more she struggled, the more disorientated she got. Up down, left, right, nothing made any sense anymore as she pushed with her arms and legs but she could find no levarage. All she knew she was pushing herself further down while her lungs burned for more air. Even though she knew she would get none, her body still took a breath. Cold water filled her lungs and blood pounded behind her eyes.

 

"Help....! Cough! Cough! Help! Woohyun..! Save me..! Someo..help me..!" Soorin tried calling for help. She felt so helpless. She lost the strength to struggle and she could feel herself begin to sink. 

 

"Help..! ........ Help! ....... Save me!" Myungsoo heard a fading voice calling out for help. He started to run towards the direction of the voice. "Isn't that Soorin?! Oh my gosh... Why is she struggling in the sea? I gotta save her!" Myungsoo thought when he saw Soorin who was near to drown in the sea. He was dead worried. 

 

He dumped his beloved camera, took off his shoes and jumped into the sea. YES, HE FREAKING DUMPED HIS BELOVED CAMERA JUST TO SAVE SOORIN.

 

He swam towards the drowning Soorin while waving his arms and trying to grab her hands. He felt something cold and hard and grabbed it with all his might. It was Soorin's hands. 

 

"Huh...Myungsoo..?" Soorin managed to mutter before she out. "YAH! LEE SOORIN, WAKE UP! ARE YOU OKAY?" Myungsoo tapped Soorin's cheeks while trying to wake her up. He was anxious. He did not want Soorin to just leave him like that or else he will be guilty for life.  Soorin's hands were cold and her face was as white as a sheet. Myungsoo carried Soorin to the shore quickly.

 

"Cough cough cou.. ugh I-" Soorin tried to speak with her lips shivering but there were too much water in . Myungsoo helped her up and patted her back to make her feel better. "Are you okay now? What were you doing in the deep waters when you know you can't swim?" Myungsoo said softly. 

 

Hearing Myungsoo's gentle voice, Soorin couldn't help but feel better although she felt bad for making Myungsoo wet his clothes for her. 

 

Woohyun just finished buying the drinks and was about to head back when he saw Soorin and Myungsoo in that position. 

 

Anger boiled in his veins as he rushed towards them. "Yah Lee Soorin! What happened- omg why are you all wet!" Woohyun grabbed Soorin by the waist, pulling her away from Myungsoo. He gave Myungsoo a glare as they walked towards the picnic mat. 

 

Myungsoo suddenly felt cold. The warmth that he felt when he held Soorin was taken away from him. He felt a little disappointed when Woohyun led Soorin away. 

 

Just as Myungsoo was going to take his camera and leave the beach, Soorin called him. "Myungsoo-ah, sorry for all the trouble I caused and I really want to thank you for saving me.. I was too careless just now… Thank you..." Soorin mumbled. 

 

Myungsoo nodded and turned away from her and Woohyun. 

 

"Soo-" Woohyun tried to question Soorin but Soorin avoided it by saying she was hungry. 

 

Being upset, Woohyun did not know what to say to Soorin. He expected her to explain herself but she did not.

 

Woohyun knew Soorin felt closer to Myungsoo and he can't help but feel sad and lonely. He blamed himself for leaving Soorin to buy the drinks. If he didn't leave, he would be the one saving Soorin. 

 

Woohyun and Soorin left the beach after they finished all the food. While leaving, Woohyun cursed and scolded Myungsoo under his breath for ruining his date. 

 

As Woohyun drove Soorin to her house and wanted to drop her off, Soorin pulled Woohyun into a hug. "Woohyun-ah, I am sorry for what happened… and thank you for today. You are the best friend ever." 

 

Woohyun just shrugged. "Best friend....? Am I going to stay in the same zone in your heart forever? What I want is to be your side as a boyfriend and not as a friend." Woohyun couldn't help but sigh and thought about it in his heart.

 

Seeing Soorin head into her house, Woohyun felt his heart clutching in pain. He drove home with his heavy heart, hoping to get a good rest after a terrible day.
