Miah lowered her hand and effectively stopped the assault against the childlike monsters. “What’s the matter,” Alessa asks. “I…I don’t know. I suddenly felt a shift in the air. Something is wrong. Have the Order finally made their move?”
The little girl who had been watching the older one’s training sighed, “Like I told you before, they sent someone out in search of the girl. I felt the shift too, and if I am to guess I’d say she has finally arrived." “Sharon,” Miah breathed in surprise. She hadn’t thought the Order could really do it. Guess I was wrong.
“What do you want me to do?” she asks returning to her stoic self. “Look for her, and see what she knows….why she is here. Get what the Order wants out of her.” “At any price?” Miah bites. “Be creative.” “…Fine.”

She walked through the falling soot, her bare feet being marred by its greyness. Her dress billowed eerily about her while her eyes remained closed in order to detect the disturbance in the town. When she opened them again she found herself in the town center. In the very middle stood Dahlia, the real Alessa’s mother, talking to a blonde teen Miah did not recognize.
She moved past the tall church that sat at one side and the long dead humans tied up onto posts in its yard. They weren’t her concern, and they weren’t her victims either. The savage survivors had done this. They had become even more crazed since the fall of Christabella and the Brotherhood.
“You all got what you deserved,” the blonde female snarled. Dahlia smiled remorsefully, “Yes, and I became the mother of the demon,” she looked at the girl, “and you the daughter.” The blonde’s eyes widened while Miah’s lit up. “What are you talking about?” the girl whispered.
“She means you are Sharon Da Silva, the daughter of Alessa Gillespie,” Miah murmured stepping into view. The blonde stepped back with a gasp, while the older woman merely gave the witch a slight glance.
Dahlia circles the blonde while at the same time staying as far away from Miah as possible. “You are a part of Alessa. The innocence that balances her hate. You should never have come back though because now you have given the order what they desire most…a way to destroy Alessa.”
Destroy her? Impossible…isn’t it? Miah narrowed her eyes at the older woman then at the blonde.
"What are you talking about? I've never been here before!" "Now you know that's not true," Miah clucks, "Somewhere deep down in that blonde head of yours there are memories of your last visit....of our last meeting." "We...met before," the wide-eyed girl asks. The witch nods, "Yes we have, and a lot has changed since then. For one you are taller, and me...well let's say i've grown in my own way as well."
“Where is my father?” the blonde asks strained. Is she looking for him? Is he stuck here too now? Like her adopted mother…
Before Miah could ask the sirens began to blare indicating the light has fallen, and the darkness was arriving. The three of them looked up into the suddenly blackening grey. Ravens began to crow frantically, circling the church then hiding in its rafters.
“The darkness is coming. It’s safer to be inside…run,” Dahlia warned the girl. Miah growled, “That’s enough Witch Mother. No need to scare her. Go now, I will look after the girl. The darkness cannot hurt me.” The older woman smirked haughtily, “That’s what you think, but it seems my dear Alessa has not been keeping you completely up-to-date with what the Order has be
