“Chanyeol, stop worrying! I’m a grown man, please, not a five year old little boy,” Baekhyun snaps, flailing his arms in the air. Good thing he’s wearing shades and a hat so nobody notices him. He takes a few deep breaths before continuing; he has enough of this. “You’re always like this! Please, it’s just Japan. I’ll be back tomorrow night and you’ll see that I can be fine on my own, Yeol. Besides, this isn’t my first flight; this isn’t my first time going to Japan. You’re worried for nothing, duh.”

Baekhyun is an artist whose paintings are well-known in all over the world. Hence he often goes to different countries once in a month for an exhibition, or if he feels like looking for some inspiration, he agrees to attend one exhibition per week. Chanyeol never follows his boyfriend to those exhibitions—blame on his work—but Baekhyun is okay with that. He just doesn’t understand how worried Chanyeol can be. Sure, everyone has different level of worry in them, but Baekhyun think Chanyeol is always over worried. Chanyeol chews on his lower lip and looks down at the clean tiled floor in the airport. “I’m sorry.”

“Yeah, whatever,” Baekhyun says dismissively and drags his small suitcase, walking away from Chanyeol without any goodbye kiss. “I’m going now.”

Baekhyun doesn’t see the way Chanyeol’s face becomes crestfallen at that.

It’s after the plane has taken off does Baekhyun remembers he hasn’t kissed his boyfriend goodbye. He inwardly groans and rubs his forehead tiredly, realizing that what Chanyeol does is only for Baekhyun's goodness.
