Chapter Four

Velvereaux

            The celestial scenery could not look even more beautiful than it already is. Tall mountains carved into intricate terraces b with the lush flora. Colors of the rainbow appeared to have been captured into layered earth. The trees weren’t grown into the typical shape instead the branches were molded and shaped into limbs, as a result the trees looked like dryads, looking like brown skinned humans  with to die for curves. The molded limbs wear hands that held up the green leaves. Not one tree was alike all were different. Towering waterfalls roared in harmony with the thriving nature while lakes were so clear one could see the fishes that were like winged fairies, their scales glittered as if made of different colored diamonds. The swimming water creatures seem to be dancing to an unknown music for they made such wondrous forms.

            Rivers were silver threads scattered amongst the hills. White pristine buildings could be seen rising from the rainbow like mountain side nestled by deep green trees. The whole countryside was a manicured garden. Fairies must have tended the breathtaking Eden. Everything mirrored the name that this regnum came to be called, the Land of Unfading beauty. Nothing is fading it only changes, from one Queen to the next the kingdom of  Velvereaux only became more beautiful than what it was before.

            Beauty lives here engraved upon the hearts of all the people, these people who would go to great heights to achieve that perfection, like the molded trees experienced pain and suffering to obtain this other worldly beauty. People of Velvereaux rarely cared about war nor would they give a cent about Tartharac and their men whom the people of Velvereaux have branded as disgusting pigs who cared not for body hygiene. The men they were generally referring to were those from Nardis, but they cared not for distinction because they were too busy tending their glamorous gardens and throwing lavish parties for themselves and for their neighbors.

            Velvereaux was the melting pot of beauty. People from all over Celaria came to this land to free themselves from the burdens of their daily lives. Beauty salons, luxurious spas, row after row of shops lined almost all the cities of the kingdom. Shops that catered to the needs of the body in order for it to be beautiful, extravagant apparels, shoes, bags, hats and of course jewelry. The clothing of all the regnorum in Celaria came from Velvereaux.

            Through their endeavors in beauty the people of Velvereaux became experts in the field of medicine, almost every one of them were doctors who could tell a patients illness merely by looking at them.

            By heart the nature of the citizens of the kingdom are characterized as frivolous yet caring, narcissistic sometimes but love to entertain people giving them rest from the hardships they encounter. Generally happy persons who love to party and throw parties, super health conscious people who deem personal hygiene as the highest priority even above war!

            They are to the last the social butterflies of Celaria who turns into the fairy godmother of every girl outside their kingdom…

            Bellarise the pride of the kingdom floated above the most magnificent garden of the whole land (which means the whole of Archaneaux!). People rode chariots pulled by winged horses, a gift from the kingdom of Beltraine. The mass transportation of the metropolises was giant airships eliminating the need of flying. The capital was a beautiful fortress made of white marble. Everywhere you look there are incredible works of art like statues and fountains that danced as if the water itself was alive.

            The palace was the most magnificent sight to behold jewels were practically imbedded into its high walls! The terraced palace was glittered from all the diamond impacted into it. Tall Corinthian pillars decked every hallway it could surround. Mother of pearl, ivory and gold (both natural and white) adorned every door, doorway and window. Rose petals were scattered all over fountains and hallways lined with purple carpet.

            Women hurried about in their ENORMOUS skirts! Lace lined their dresses while precious gems were sewn into their corsets. The fashion of the people was unlike anything in Archaneaux! Large gowns with V-shaped corsets that dropped low exposing the bare shoulders, sleeves are short and only reached the line it puffed like a bell, the waists were extremely small almost ant like in nature while the skirts were gigantic with padded starched fabric underneath! Layer after layer of expensive fabric dominantly silk and satin went over this stiff underskirt. Even the lowest peasants donned on this gorgeous outfit since neighbors always help each other, in order that they all became beautiful!

            The royalty of course wore the most beautiful outfits made by the best tailors of the kingdom. The dresses they usually wore had long trains of fabric by the meters!

 The hairs of the women were made into elaborate styles, the most common was curling it into sausages that reached the shoulders. They usually had really long hairs that went below the knee. Bathing for them took hours, so almost everyone woke up early to bathe and also to see the sunrise. They are not really hard working in nature but when it came to beautification they become fashion monsters who would give a girl a full body make over when she only asked
