Complicated
Infinitely Dangerous
I grabbed my mask and put it on before Dongwoo realized I was in the room, but they were staring at each other so seriously, I doubted they would notice anyone else in the room.
“Why don’t you go back to her, that Belle.” Pan ni said angrily. “Stop bothering me.” She added.
“I don’t like her, you are the most important girl in my life.” He said. She scoffed. “For me to believe that lie twice, shame on me. So no, take your lies and get the hell out of here.” She said turning away from him.
“Pan ni, why can’t you just accept that you feel the same way about me too.” He said face passive. “I do not.” Pan ni bit out. “Alright, get out.” I said knowing that something was going to go down if I didn’t stop it. Dongwoo jerked up to look at me. “This is my room, she is my guest and I won’t have anyone bothering her.” I said and I pointed to the door. I didn’t feel good throwing him out because all he had shown me was kindness and sweetness but he needed to understand sooner or later to steel his emotions. Because it was just a matter of when, the whole thing would be blown out of the water, not an if.
“Dongwoo, I don’t want to have to fight you before our fight so I suggest you leave.” I said and with another longing look at Pan ni who wasn’t looking at him he sighed, shoulders slumping. “Fine.” He said and left without another word.
“Why did you let him in the first place?” I asked Pa ni as I grabbed a energy bar. But before she could answer Daniel walked in. “Celestia invites you to dinner again.” He said and I sighed chucking my bar in the garbage. “Let’s go.” And Pan ni came along.
We sat down to more food then the day before. “Help yourself.” She said. “Why did you agree to let Sunggyu switch the battle order?” I asked before touching anything.
Celestia picked up her wine glass. “You were going to fight him sooner or later, its just sooner.” She said, non chalantly. “You didn’t answer my question.” I said calmly.
“I don’t find the need to. If you’re memory isn’t shot, you work for me right now. What I say goes.” And I was about to get up and leave when a fork went flying past my shoulder and embedded itself in the wall. I barely saw Celestia move. “I respect your abilities. I want to use you as an asset. But, make no mistake, my authority will not be challenged. At all.” And she got up and left the room with her bodyguards.
“Damn, she’s scarier then you when she’s pissed.” Pan ni said and I looked at the fork. Maybe this was a blessing in disguise. If I could learn to move that fast, I would be so much more help to Shadow.
I popped open a bottle of rum and poured Pan ni and I both a shot. “I think I could learn from her.” And Pan ni took her shot and looked at me like I’m crazy.
“Just don’t do anything else stupid.” She said seriously. “When have I ever been stupid?” I asked and she opened . “Don’t answer that!” and we both burst into laughter.
