Guilty
Infinitely Dangerous
I was angry. Not at Woohyun but more at myself. It wasn’t like me to let a stupid, childish, good looking face get to me. I was an assassin, emotions are always on the back burner. I needed to beat Woohyun even more now.
I ran at him but when he threw out a punch to catch me in my momentum, I grabbed his arm and spun around putting my body against his, I flipped him over my shoulder. He wasn’t ready so he landed on his back, knocking the breath out of him. But he didn’t miss a beat and got my ankle with his foot and pulled me down.
He sat on my legs and threw a punch straight in my jaw. Pain exploded but I got my own punch in his stomach and I turned the tables by rolling on top of him now. I was light, like Hoya had reminded me before so I didn’t waste anytime and threw a punch in his face. When he was getting over the first punch, I threw another one, but something happened. My hand opened without me willing it and instead of punching him, I slapped him across the face.
Then we were both stunned. “One, two, three…ten.” And I got off Woohyun. His chest was rising up and down as he tried to get his breathing back under control.
“I’m sorry.” I said and this time I didn’t help him up and left. I walked past the guys as they went into get their member and went straight back to my room.
I laid on my bed as still tried to get my breathing under control. “I slapped him.” I muttered. Sweat rolled down the side of my face from my forehead as I thought about the last scene, again and again. “What the is wrong with you.” I cursed at myself.
Someone knocked on my door a few minutes later and I put my mask back on and went to open it. It was Hoya. “It took me a while to find your room.” He said and I just stared at him. “What are you doing here?” I asked and he shrugged. “I don’t really even know why I am here either. Maybe it’s because I fought you before and today you were different.”
“Hoya, don’t read too much into anything. Woohyun fights differently, so of course I would fight differently.”
“But that’s not it. There is something different about you.” He said and I let out a sigh. “If you have nothing else to say please leave.” I said and I closed the door in his face. After a few more minutes I opened the door again to check if he stayed but the hallway was empty and in a way I was glad. The less I talked to them the better.
“If I didn’t know better, that look seems like regret.” Daniel said walking down the hallway. I glared. “What the hell are you doing here?” I asked as he followed me into my room.
“I went to check on your friend.” He said and I looked up automatically.
“I knew you’d be interested. She’s back in top shape, doing missions for Shadow.” He said and that did settle me.
“But I can’t really say the same about your godmother.” And I moved and grabbed the front of his shirt. “If you hurt Mels, I will gut you.” And he chuckled. “You did this to her. She’s physically okay. Never better actually but she is pushing herself to her limits. She’s done ten missions in the past two days. Not resting. Barely eating.” And I let go of his shirt and growled. “ you.”
“You can do that. But I’m willing to give her a message for you. For a price.” He said.
“No.” I said because what he could ask for wouldn’t be worth it if I was doing stuff further against my will.
“You don’t even want to hear it?” he asked unfazed. “No.” I said again and he chuckled. “I’ll be waiting.” And he left without another word, like he thought I would cave. I scoffed. Mels was tough. She knew that if my time to die came, no one could stop it.
