Chapter seventeen
You and ISulli drove out of the hospital’s parking lot and found herself in front of her dance studio. She didn’t know why she drove there in the first place. Since she was already there, she got out of the car, punched in the code for her studio door and got in. Without bothering to switch on the lights, she walked straight to the sliding doors that opened towards the beach.
There was a small gazebo with a small round table and an oval nest rattan swing with mini pillows that she liked to sit in and enjoy her quiet time after dance classes were over. She sat cross-legged in the swing and took one of the pillows and hugged it close. Her eyes were still swollen and her nose was red from her crying bout at the hospital.
She was hoping the cool sea breeze could calm her frantic heart and the sound of the waves lapping could calm her shattered nerves. As she tried to breathe calmly, her eyes were fixed on the dark horizon beyond.
