Chapter twelve
You and ISitting in his darkened office, Minho smiled remembering the shocking suggestion that the dance teacher had made to them. Back then, he didn’t know why it was so important for them to do their best. It was only a performance for an alumni fund dinner so what’s the big deal anyway.
But at the same time, he remembered he’s own frustration. He remembered that while he did his best in getting his steps and coordination right, he was having a difficult time controlling his feelings and emotions. At last, he conceded, like any other man at his age, he was affected by a pretty girl. At first, he didn’t want to admit to himself that she has an effect on him unlike all the other girls that went after him before. But he rationalized to himself later by deciding that it was only a normal reaction of hormones due to their close proximity. He was stupid back then.
He didn’t know how it happened but the more time he spent with her, the more he became fascinated about her. She was a pretty teenage high school girl with smiles and always nice to him. She treated him like an older brother and tried her best to create a good atmosphere between them. But what attracted him the most was the moment they started practicing. At that moment, gone was the bubbly school girl. Instead, she transformed into this beautiful hard working young woman. Her gracefulness and poise were something that he had come to admire. He was captivated by her.
Because of this, he was holding himself back. He thought it was inappropriate of him to show how much he was attracted to her since she saw him as a brother. She was young and innocent, and he was afraid to ruin the relationship. Even then, his heart skipped a beat every time she calls him oppa. His heart would beat faster when they touched. Finally he decided that he had to separate his feelings during practice and he would have to steel himself every time they have physical contact. He thought he was doing quite well following his decision until the dance teacher voiced out her frustration.
