Chapter 6

I'm Not Predictable

Waking the next morning made me remember I am not good with alcohol. It felt
so good on the bed, sleeping. So good. I began to close my eyes once again until
my sister came into the room taking loudly on the phone. I was just surprise she
was awake before me.

"Jessy, wake up." She began. "The boys are coming over."

"Why?" I groaned, my head was pounding. "How did we end up hanging out with
them. Shouldn't they be promoting their comeback?"

"They have been, they're taking a break now." Cathy replied.

"How do you know this?" I questioned, raising an eyebrow.

"I use Google, tumblr helps too."

Whatever, I just hope she's not becoming a stalker.

"Okay, get out. I'm going to get ready. Serve me some cereal, I need to take some Advil." She rolled her eyes and left the room; I kicked the blanket off me. Where are we even going? Aren't people going to recognized them? Don't they have
anything better to do than hangout with strangers that don't  even speak their language? Too many questions and little patience for answers.

I was finishing my cereal when I heard the knock on the door. I just stayed there and waited for my sister to open the door. To no surprise the guys walked in dressed in very casual clothes. They all looked pretty... good. I'll admit they are good-looking.

"Guess where we're going?" Sandeul asked in an excited tone.

I shrugged while Jinyoung replied. "We're going to the river."

"Yeah, I don't have a bathing suit." I had packed everything except a bathing suit.

"Just wear a t-shirt and shorts. That's what I'm doing." Cathy suggested and I nodded.

I wouldn't feel comfortable wearing a bathing a suit anyways.

"How are we getting there?" I asked. We're seven people, we did not fit in a car.

"We got the company's van. We had to lie a bit... But at least we got it."
Shinwoo replied. I don't know if to call him Shinwoo or CNU. Um... I'll have to think about it... Shinwoo is better.

"Who's driving?" Cathy questioned.

"Shinwoo." Gongchan stated. "He has his license."

Aren't they all old enough to have their license?

After thirty minute of getting everything we needed, we went to the van. After playing rock, paper, scissor the seating arrangement was decided. Shinwoo was driving with Jinyoung in the front seat, Cathy and Gongchan in the second row, Baro, Sandeul, and me on the third row. Thankfully, I was able to get a window seat to the left side, Sandeul was in the middle and Baro had the other window seat. The trip was going to be an hour and fifty minutes long.

The first hour everyone seemed full of energy; they sang, they screamed, and they danced. I'm was surprised Shinwoo didn't have an accident. After all that Jinyoung and Shinwoo switched, Gongchan and Cathy were silently playing air
hockey on her tablet, Baro and Sandeul were asleep and I was writing on my tablet. All of the sudden I felt something on my right shoulder, I quickly looked to my side. Sandeul's head was laying on my shoulder, he was still asleep. Awkwardly, his face was just inches away from mines. I was going to move him but felt bad after thinking about it.

I just left him there, he must be tired. After writing on my tablet for a while longer, I looked over at Sandeul who was still asleep. I didn't notice I was staring until I found myself having the urge to touch his hair. It looked so soft and he smells good too, I have a thing for hair. I came out of my trance to notice Jinyoung and Shinwoo glancing at me through the rear view mirror. I didn't want them to get the wrong idea, so I quickly turned my attention back to my tablet.

"How much longer?" Cathy suddenly asked.

"We're almost there, twenty minutes more." Shinwoo replied.

Thank gosh, my is starting to hurt from sitting so long.

I felt Sandeul slowly awaking, I quickly turned my face to look out the window.

"Can we stop to get something to eat?" Sandeul groggily asked. His voice obviously had not woken up yet.

At that moment I realized I was hungry too. I quietly groaned, I can't eat in front of them.

After five minutes we stopped at a small market, many small food stands were crammed down the street. I had no idea what anything was.

"Ca, do you know what any of this food is?" I whispered at my sister.

"Some of them, but not really." She replied, shrugging.

Before I could speak again Gongchan called my sisters and me. I quickly turned around.

"Taste this." He said as he place 'something' on a stick in front of my mouth. I wondered if he was trying to feed me, but just the thought of it made me feel so uncomfortable.

"I'm not hungry." I lied. My sister looked at me with a worried expression.

"I'll try it." She stated and Gongchan then placed the stick in front of , she took a generous bite. "OMG, it's really good. Taste it Jessy."

Once again the stick was in front of my mouth and I cautiously took a small bite. It was good and it made me even more hungry. I couldn't take it anymore, I went with my sister and both a few things, to have variety.

"I'll let you try mines if you give me some of yours." I heard Baro saying to my sister. She agreed and they fed each other. This was weird to me because back home people don't tend to feed other people. Eventually, I got used to it.

After eating, we all got back on the van and headed to the river; it was already 11:30a.m.

"We're here." Shinwoo announced and everyone went crazy with excitement.

As we took the things out the trunk I noticed a big tent bag and a smaller one. I observed as the guys took them out the trunk.

"What are those for?" I asked, dreading the answer.

"Oh," Jinyoung began. "for camping."

"We're camping here." I stated more than asked.

Jinyoung just nodded. I looked at my sister and she could tell I was not happy. Don't get me wrong I love camping... But, there's nowhere to use my straightener and they are going to see me without make-up. I'm too insecure for this... I guess I'll have to deal with it...

"Cheer up, Jessy." Sandeul said grabbing my shoulders. "It'll be fun."

I gave a small smile and nodded. "Well, let's go the river."

Once we got to the river, I gasped. I was taken back, the scenery was beautiful. I've only seen rivers this beautiful in Puerto Rico. I left my things by a tree and walked down to the water. I dipped my foot in, the water was freezing. I knew I has to jump in all at once. I called my sister and we climbed a medium size boulder and looked for the deepest area. Once we found it not to far away, I made the first jump, followed by my sister. Soon after, the guys began slowly coming in and throwing water at each other. Feeling how cold the water was I couldn't help but to think  if there were things shrinking, trying to hide from the cold. I'm sick minded...

"I bet I can beat you." Baro said, making me turn my head to see who he was talking to, it was to Sandeul.

Sandeul replied something in Korean and before I could try to figure out what he said both of them were swimming away across the river.

I watched them carefully. I used to swim in a team for five years and wanted to see if I had a chance. I thought I did.

"I win, in your face!" Sandeul shouted once he submerged from the water.

Baro angrily just splashed water at him. "So, I've beaten you many times before." He retorted.

I interrupted them. "I bet I can beat you." I challenged, narrowing my eyes at Sandeul.

He chucked. "What do you want to bet?"

"Oh." I didn't really mean I wanted to bet. I can't back out of it now. "If I
win, you have to perform to that family over there."

He looked over at the family and gave a nod. "Fine. But, if I win you have to perform to that family."

Now, I really have to win. We began slowly swimming to the starting point.

"Catherine, count us off." I instructed my sister.

"Okay." She nodded. "Ready, set, go."

Right after she said 'go', we both began swimming. Finally, I reached the finish line and emerged from the water.

"I won." I shouted.

Sandeul jumped backwards on the water in defeat.

"Don't work Sandeul, you're a good swimmer." I said softly touching  his shoulder. "I used to swim in a team."

"That's cool and unfair." He laughed. "I guess I have to go perform top that family."

We were kind of secluded from everyone else, Sandeul had to climb out to the picnic area. We all discretely laughed as Sandeul approached the family. We laughed a little louder when a teenage girl from the family recognized Sandeul and started fan girling over him. After she calmed down, he performed their new song, "what's going on?" Which made her fangirl some more; I couldn't help but to laugh.

Later on, we all got hungry and decided to grill some meat and corn. Right after eating we all helped setup the tents.

"We'll sleep in the big tent and you girls can sleep on the small one." Jinyoung instructed.

Him and that leader attitude. I just went right along with it and nodded.
Catherine and I decided to go the bathroom and wash up. Being in a public bathroom is weird enough. Especially, when you look different from everyone else around you; I felt as if all eyes were on us. People kept asking us where were we from.
